Here is (what was supposed to be) a complete test run for Tony Hawk's Pro Skater (N64): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NqlzAX94kxE Sadly, I forgot the "Pro Score Tape" in School Miami, but it's no big deal. I am already working on the final version and will submit when I'll be done.

Isn't the main language on those boards supposed to be English?

Great idea, adelikat. I'm willing to write something about Kirby 64 since sonicpacker and me learned so much while TASing this game.

A TAS of this game would be awesome but I haven't been able to run it with Yabause.

Hey everyone. I've browse much of the topics and I don't think anyone posted something similar, so here's my idea: Could anybody work on a "TAS Input" for Snes9x? It would be pretty much the same as the one you have when TASing Mupen64. I just don't like to TAS with a controller and most keyboards I own only take 3 or 4 keys at the same time (pretty annoying). Thanks.

Is someone working on a 100% run? I'm just wondering, because I tried that game a bit today and beat Fractal by 1 frame up to the first ladder. And, since the last MMX3 was made in 2006, maybe it's time to do the 100% run aswell?

Wait a minute, if that's true, then where do you find the boss cards?
Perhaps they are just randomly thrown at the end of some stages, I don't know. Anyway, about the run, we are still shaving some frames from world 1-1 and we'll be done with this level soon.

Hmm, aren't there way more enemies than there are levels? So wouldn't you have to play through the shortest level a few dozen extra times to repeat the bonus game to get all the cards?
Can you actually get all the cards from a single level? I seem to remember trying to replay a single level multiple times to get cards I was missing, and discovering that I could only get certain cards from certain levels--it needs to be tested!

You guys are both right. In my mind, a 100% run would aim to collect all the enemy cards, but, as Bag of Magic Food mentionned, we'd need to replay some levels to get them all. I think we'll just call this run a "All shards run" instead of a "100% run". Thanks for mentioning, guys.

Well, sonicpacker and I are now working on a 100% TAS of this game. Here are our game objectives: • Defeat final boss • Collect all shards • Takes damage to save time We tested A LOT; fastest forms of movement, strats, etc. By using single-fire instead of double fire, we saved more than 3 seconds over survive's Youtube WIP. It turns out that single-fire is pretty much the fastest way to beat the mini-boss of world 1-1 too. We are actively working on it. We aren't aiming for any final time, as we are still at the very beginning of the run, but progress is made!

So, let me get this straight. Some arrogant kid made a bullshit claim he can't even prove and manages to halt your entire TAS that way?
That "arrogant kid" is also an awesome TASer that COULD have saved a frame. And the 0 star team don't want to submit sub-optimal work. If this frame can be saved, they want to save it. Though, Brian won't prove anything. Let's say I'm TASing "Chill With The Bully" for the 120 star TAS and hear that some Japanese TASer saved a frame over my run, that I though "optimal", I'd like to know where he saved that frame, despite he might be lying. Given the fact that this is a 0 star run and not a 120 star run, that frame is somehow crucial.

You guys don't know what your talking about. Here's a few thing to know: To kinda "max" a star we'd need about 4-10k rerecords per star. Considering this game has 120 star + plenty of inner castle parts we'd use about 750k rerecords to have what you guys could call a "maxed" 120 star TAS. Again, this is only a supposition. This would take forever. And, yes, there's a lot of luck manipulation in SM64. Bob-ombs, goombas, elevators, spindrifts, rolling rocks, etc, etc. We can't hex all the stars just like that. I repeat, we CAN'T hex all the stars just like that. The best thing would be to start a new .m64 and pursue it up to 120 star, by hexing what can be hexed. Also, guys like SilentSlayers, Moltov, Kyman, sonicpacker, BrianStormer, Mickey11189 and Mr_Roberts_Z will help toward this project, when the 0 star run will be finished. Considering this will be the most epic TASvideos run ever on this site, this might take some time. Don't expect this to be done this summer, you know. If you need any other informations, I'll try to answer them.

That first BLJ isn't really optimized....
Yes, like I said before, I know nothing about BLJing; sonicpacker pointed out some few points like backward movement on the first BLJ, angles, etc. I could also re-do this video, starting from the center circle after you get a star and compare the tiny island entry vs. the huge island entry.
