The idea of adding commentary is great like seen in the comments. I will never forget the struggle of getting a shooting star in the first Shadow Sirens battle in my segmented run.

That's great. I have to admit my favorite part so far was the movement in Hooktail's Castle when you activate the switch with Koops and walk in paper mode and immediately when you gain control of Mario again you are able to jump into the window. That sequence overall was just so perfect.

That segmented run interests me as well. My old one is obsolete since it was done before all these major discoveries. On-topic: nice and solid Prologue Malleo, keep up the good work.

This thread is turning into the collection of pannenkoek2012's amazing videos. But I really liked this one. Link to video

Good job to all of you guys. It's amazing to see how much things have improved after 2 years when I did the segmented run. Thanks for sharing the WIPs, this run was wonderful to follow. One of my favorite parts was The X-Naut Fortress, really liked that. Voting YES!

Hmm. Was there a particular reason at 32:58 to smash the hammer once instead of canceling it like at 43:20? Just something I noticed.

The only question I have is about the condition of the first battle: Is that one fixed and can't be manipulated to be something passive like the other ones?
That's right. Condition for the first battle is always "Appeal at least once".

Only few GC games have widescreen compatibility. TTYD does not.

That's great! For such a long game TASing it alone makes progress pretty slowly. I never helped CoolKirby Dolphin-wise, rather just gave out some information I was aware of. Fortunately you're two now, I hope to see more of it :)

Heyy how is this run going? Somewhere in Hooktail's Castle? Some months ago Almolicious found a timesaver in X-Naut Fortress, I already told CoolKirby about it but some of you might have not seen it. According to Rainbowism it saves 39 seconds in RTA, definitely more in TAS. That's not very topical considering how far in the game it is. I remember watching Almo do it live, here is a video of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bNuFWcvt5RI

Does it matter if you open the .dtm file on another revision of dolphin?

I'm willing to help you anytime you need some. If there's anything you're unsure about I can download the dtm file and check it. Fortunately you got someone tell you about cancelling the plane with B instead of falling on the ground. Would have been a waste to do a run without it =D You can use my console run as a support and basically majority of your run follows it but there definitely are places that can be done a lot faster that I don't know of. Anyway good luck with this, again =)

Did a 1v2 team match TAS but I got the same problem again. -_- I had the default folder for saving recordings still set to the more-save-fixes revision, apparently that's what screwed things up. Now I changed the save folder and did many tests and the CPUs were always the same when playing the recording. I spent so many hours on this and finished nothing. So nice. Edit. So yeah I can go to the match with correct characters by loading a state but I only used 8 slots and they contain the very end of the match.
