Recently, there have been even fewer views on videos tagged "TAS" on nicovideo. As you can see, 30th place has less than 10000 views, when in the past you'd have to have well over 10000 views to have any chance of making the list. I wonder what is responsible for the downturn in views.
school maybe ? or the lack of new tasable games, the "new" SFC/nes pool is becoming thinner and tassing 3d games is quite harder than their 2d counter part thanks for this month's video ps : the FFX minigame is actualy the "obligatory" bliztball sequence at the begining of the game, it's part of the story.. MIND BLOWN too bad, you didn't found a way to leash in the ivor keep or leash out the chess maze into ebon keep. incredible run anyway and yes vote + star if you can

the run is nice and i found it entertaining , but i think that it's too close, trickwise, to the any % : you glitchthru doors and wrong warp to the end kind of the game ... it's like seeing a "no super jump route" in super metroid, exept it's compared to a faster "no ice beam route". this run is nice and fun, but i don't think it should be published here. i'll simply abstain from voting.

EDIT: Just tested in higan v094, and the sound breaks after Yoshi spits the fireballs or a Podoboo jumps out (the sound effect in both cases definitely is part of the issue) and then crashes on a black screen after you die or complete the level. So....yeah, as it is, I don't believe you can complete the hack at all on accurate emulators or even on real hardware.
that's an interesting case there... how should we deal with it ? yes vote for improvement over the previous movie and i quite like the hack...

i was Skeptic at first seeing the name but some fun levels (coloseum and Kill bill) and some "light music" compared to other WADS made it enjoyable to watch...; yes vote

nice video, thanks i know about the 2h PC glitched category but, "semi recent" pc games still not being tasable, i'll set my hope on the original PSX version...

this is the most realistic gameplay ever : you die : GAME OVER , THE END ! also, i liked the fact that the game allow you to skip everybody exept lock, terra, celes edgard & setzer... yes vote, another FF bites the dust... what's next ? a FFVII stairs glitch that call the CD3 & a glitched save that triggers the ending ? NASIR's Ghost haunt this series with his "screen transitions overflow glitch"

I can understand, to an extent, that some may find the goal to be too arbitrary for general audiences. When asking the question "is it different enough from 100% to warrant being published", as a runner of the game, I have to immediately say yes it is different enough. However, I'm willing to admit, to a general audience member, with which TASvideos strives to appeal towards, it may not seem all that different and the goal itself may seem especially arbitrary. The reason that the category does not collect every item is simply because it does very little to change the route or strategies present in the run and instead adds on all of the item fanfare. This especially makes sense in an RTA run because it's boring to sit through all that item fanfare. However, from a general audience standpoint, it may not make sense why you don't get all the items along with all the map tiles (or even save the animals) and I've seen this wondered so many times in Twitch chatrooms. I hope this message is more clear than my previous one, which was basically just a quick disagreement against the arbitrary claims. I can see now how it could be viewed as such, even if I disagree.
hi, thanks for your answer our rules are really stict on the "main" branches : any % / 100 % / play around % (+ sub branches like Glitched /ACE /etc...) this tas would go then on the "play around" branch meaning that it MUST have a high interest ratio. the problem with super metroid is that there are already too much branches of the game and all the published runs are made by "M2k2 hardcore ADHD fan" style experienced tasers, meaning that your TAS have to basicaly be"Flawless and entertaining or nothing" . Just collecting the map will not be enough to warrant the entertainement requiered for a "possible publication" (thus the arbitrory goal as it's your "main selling point" if you want to include a "all map completion" then i sugest you doing it while doing a 100% TAS, it would be more logic and might add depth to the route. Also having a twitch audience for the imput is good BUT when you submit a run there , the TASVideo community is the main target you should aim for... go submit WIP'S on the super metroid page and ask for feedback you might get harsh responses (again it's super metroid we're talking about) but you'll get on the right tracks and if you can manage to overcome the difficulty, you WILL get a positive feedback have a nice day :)

Perhaps because "The copyright owner has not made this video available in your country"? Or maybe it's just in Sweden because it's available on state-owned television here. We're backwards like that.

while it look like a good run completing the whole map WITHOUT collecting all the items seems kinda stupid.... and is the setup for an arbitrary category, so i'll have to vote no...
