I tried it with a proxy so I'm not blocked now. Thanks
it's an interesting and fact that the "origin" of the call is supplied as a parameter smart move to see from where "the flux" is comming

http://tasvideos.org/AccessBlocked.html I always wondered what that hidden link was. I can't find it. Where is it?
if i remember correctly, it's a hidden url that ban the IP hidden in the pages, if a web crawler try to access it, it bans it's IP and redirect it to the accessblocked page... guess who fell for the trap while snooping around the website some LOOOOONNNG time ago ^^? ( i think i was trying to look at the code of some pages or maybe it was something about the 404 page and i was like, "huh? let's try that link"...) edit : from the waybackmachine it "might " be this snippet of code :
<small>Time (GMT+2)<a href="blockme.cgi?FrontPage"></a>:<br/>2007-02-07 06:14:22</small>
but it might have been removed as i don't see the snippet on the main current page

No. If you don't scroll far enough to start the fight, you are simply stuck with no way to advance further. The only way to start the fight is by going through that door. Also, you can't hurt bosses until the fight actually starts for real, unlike in Mega Man 7.
thanks.

do you think that you are currently feeling creatively 'burned out'?
My powers are currently spent more on problems that aren't even closely related to this site, they've always been there, but being known for my obsession with everything new, I got it from most of tas-related things, and now it became really really hard to find even newer things within here, or at least those that would fit my abilities. I'm about to finally start DW pacifist, but otherwise what I feel about the rest is somewhat close to "burned out". Not giving thanks to anyone just yet, or people would think the thread is closed :)
just remember to enjoy what you are trying and the rest will come naturally :)

Nintendo only has copyright on the audio-visuals, not the run (button-presses) itself.
you're right.

i think those numbers are BS because if you could really milk so much money for a 9min Video (around .46cent a second per day), Nintendo would have already C&D the youtubes accounts and reclamed damages.... but just to close the debate, the real owner of this run is and always will Be Nintendo. In some country's showing that you managed to bypass the hardware protection ( like having a ROM copy of the original hardware ) is enough to make you guilty of copyright infringement... anyway yes vote until the next improvement.

When the day comes we find a technically proficient but a very boring "early game end" glitch in a board game, there will be no place for it at TASVideos under the current rules. Which is... well, a slight shame at least.
i just wish for the day that we find something like "in SM64 every frame zoomed on mario's ass save a lag frame" so we could get a 0 & 120 star improvements that would just zoom on his ass for the whole run, that would lead to the most hilarious and most mind destroying discutions....

we already vaulted some board games, like clue.
Keep in mind that Clue was published before tiers existed, and was automatically (and incorrectly) sent to Vault during the split. It does not serve as a precedent of accepting board games to the Vault.
thanks for the correction. anyway, i'm still thinking that boards games, if they have an ending are still games and should not be "segregated" because they are different

we already vaulted some board games, like clue so i don't see why board games should be treated differently than other games, if we set the "strict vault rules" like - must be played on the hardest dificulty - must get to the credits - must aim for the fastest time The vault was made specificaly when entertainement was not the main strong point of a TAS and the entertainement value of a TAS come partly from the knowledge of the game. when seeing the monopoly 4 CPU TAS, all the entertainement come from the knowledge of what is AI manipulation, if you show the TAS to someone who doesn't know what it is, he will just say "cool story Bro, but there's nothing special" to be honest, the scrable TAS surpised me and reminded me of the monopoly one, if it was done on the hardest difficulty and if the CPU played first (so he would lose faster), i would have voted yes...
