for the sake of clarity it should be [glitched / glitchless] [low % /any% / 100%] the glitched any% run should be the fastest one, if a glitched run is cooler but longer , then it should become a moon candidate. branching for a specific glitch would be too arbitrary and subjective , it would become too complicated to sort... now the real question is "what about total control" ? should it be considered as a glitched % or as a separate category ? if it is to be considered a gliched % then we will be seeing a lot of glitched run obseleted by total controls run, while packet injection is always coool it is kinda creating a pretty common and predictible kind of run that would always goes as "we do strange stuff, we inject code, we trigger the end" and would kill on the long term the entertainement and diversity of the glitched branch....

i think this submision could help the discutions as the RNG is affected by firmware modifcations, now, if you change the RNG and that ingame would just swap 2 unimportant tiles on a cube, or even easier - just swap the colors - it would effectively with the same input render two different movies just by changing the name in the firmware

thanks spike & patashu it seems that 2014 will be the NGC / glitched year.... @warp : try disabling any pop up blocker and disable the material acceleration in flash if it's enabled, also try disabling desktop overlay rendered object ( like rain meter & co) to read a video

i'm voting yes for publication but also toward the "meh" as right before the last boss you use an enemi to jump out of bound and it warps you back in bound on the next screen (clearly an unintended way to exit the room ) otherwise it's a great run, i felt heartbroken as you reseted thru the free xp but there was no aparent slowdowns due to the sword underleveling so i guess it's ok... ( still heartbeaking )

dude, they donnated for... as for the category i was woried about the use of the GT code, this submision reminds me of the spiderman run that used a code and glitched it to trigger the ending, that submission got rejected/canceled/ deleted ? (can't find it) but the code here is used to speed things up ( the glitch is not triggered by the code) so i guess this run is good as a moon run (star run since it's Super metroid ?) if this gets published, it should be published as a "execute arbitrary code" as a main goal / branch ( like masterjun's smw total control run ) and triggering the ending just to finish the movie (not fastest execution / any % )
