i think we should simply reencode the run but change the audio tracks to some benny hills songs so the run would become entertaining... more seriously, pure speed and entertainement can't always go together if we were to unpublish a run because it lacks one of those, it would be just unfair because other runs have the same problems... the problem there is that the current line of publication /vote system can't do a difference between a run that's pure speed oriented and a run that is entertainement oriented... i think that everybody here agree that we should un publish ( a least the avi) all the "one track" runs so it's a start i think that we should make a simple graph in addition to the question "should this run be published" this graph would let the voter choose if he thinks that the run is more speed oriented or more entertainement oriented, so when new peoples come to the website they could decide if they want to see movies that aim for entertainement or movies that aim for pure speed... edit : i think too much

What's this now? Did someone try to coerce me into making a new Eggerland run?
this comment was un-published due to a low amount of vote/entertainement. a new run of eggerland would be awesome of course

i'm ok to unpublish tas who don't finish the game ( but we could keep the movie files and simply take the avi) but i'm againt unpublishing completed movies, those movies where accepted once they should stay accepted, it's not because improvements where found or that new tools make them obselete that we should kill the submission... it would be better to just improve them. also if we unpublish the TAS in the selected submision, we should also unpublish all the tas of the same kind, why obseleting the deja vu run and let the other dungeon crawlers ? same goes for Eggerland, isn't it unfair to unpublish this one and let the adventures of lolo stay ? IMO the site should be a gallery on how to complete in a perfect way a maximum of games, even if it's "bad games"... i always tought of nesvideo as a tool assisted SDA (also common' guys we have a tas of Daikatana ! how could we delete something this rare ?) we shouldn't be focused on only "good or known games", we should widden our view but always keep execution quality in mind...

air is more a "concept demo of what the smb motor can do" this is a full TAS of a hack, those two can't be compared also if a better smb hack is out, those this one would be obseleted ? no, i think we should keep air as a published concept demo and simply add this one as an "official TAS" but we should become very selective about hacks submision (maybe a higher "yes vote" number neded ?)

i'm realy curious to see it, can you provide an encode please ?
Someone has already did, but the AVI file was too big and long to upload.
ok saw the 100% run i'm surprised by the "tas quality", the hack quality is even more impressive and the completion time is just 25 Min, not too far from your run :) i voted yes on your run, but i wouldn't be again a 100%

I don't like how this game was programmed to expect you glitching through the wall. Kinda took the fun factor for me.
the walls are destructibles (even the spikes are with the ultra flreball)

nice improvement, you used the knife a lot more than the previous submission which is a plus but there is a little too much air jungling in this one and no 99 combo hits :/ do you think you can manipulate Dan to launch his taunt fury ? shouldn't it be better to set 1 round a match ( it would prevent repetitive moves) yes vote, it's a good start for this game but i realy think it's could be improved...

Here's an encode. I vote yes. Outside of the context of TASVideos, this is an amazing demo of killing a game. Compared to existing movies, it is mostly text, and we have a few games like this already, so I could see a resistance to publishing this.
the game is actualy shorter than the ending, it would be silly to refuse a 1 min movie that actualy complete a game...

I suspected sonicmason to be charles1q1w given the similarity of submissions (goal choice + game). However, I did some probing and couldn't find any evidence to link them. Different Ips (1 US, 1 French) for one thing. But also some little bits of evidence such as sonic putting in the right GMT time zone for France whereas Charles was unable to put in the right time zone for his region of the US ^^ I think we just have an interesting coincidence here.
i know that the forum isn't "proxy proof" so faking a french IP isn't that hard as for the gmt+1 timezone i'll call him clever... (exept that in france due to summer time it's currently "Gmt+2" not one ;) )

Is he REALLY speaking in French, or just using Google Translator to "speak" in French?
the submission is full of gramatical errors, "c'est donc pourça que je le utilise tré souvent " this is a definite basic "english to french" error the correct sentence should be "c'est donc pour cela que je l'utilise très souvent" maybe he learned french in school but he was very very bad... also i seriously think that we have a uber troll roaming over there, i recently saw a LOT of "noob/fake" submission recently... isn't it time to do some IP hunt ?

weak yes vote the game is well payed BUT it's a exact copy of the puyo² II submision (so exact that i wonder if it's possible to make a single movie that could complete both games ?) also, if both games gets accepted, should we publish all the puyo's spin off ?
