When I try to run this version of BizHawk my computer (Windows 64x laptop) says it won't because it's detected viruses, specifically a Windows 32x Trojan. I tried reinstalling the prereqs but that fixed nothing. Do I just turn off my antivirus defender, or is there something wrong with my installation proccess?

I'm trying to do a very basic TAS where the only glitch I use is Screen Scrolling, but I've only managed to get it to work once. I can make Link do the one-frame switch directions (facing left and then pressing up for one frame) but I can't execute the rest of the glitch - it always just scrolls normally, rather than warping Link to the other side. Any tips? UPDATE: I've solved the problem - was warping too quick in succession.

While running a Legend of Zelda NES rom for TASing, I'm noticing a lot of stuttering - however, when I checked the piano roll, I didn't see it being noted as lag frames. It's always on the same places - so far I've noticed it happen as the game begins, when I perform my first screen scroll, and when I enter the first screen to the right of the starting screen. I've tried redownloading the ROM and closing and reopening BizHawk, to no success. It seems to be my computer, but I'm not sure how to diagnose that? UPDATE: I've tried running a different TAS, this one of Super Mario Bros. for NES, and I'm noticing the stuttering in that one two. I've tried all three NES cores available and they all contain some stuttering, so my guess is either BizHawk itself is messed up or my computer doesn't have enough resources to allocate to allow it to run properly.

I figured it out. I keep mixing up the L and R buttons - changing the L in that sequence to a R solved the problem.

I've tried doing that. The problem I keep running into is that BizHawk doesn't seem to register anything past the first button press. Currently what I have is "D, DL, L" with no frames in between any of them. Do I need frames in between at all? Does BizHawk not like pushing buttons that quickly?

I'm trying to do a simple TAS of Killer Instinct for the SNES (I will admit this is only my second TAS so maybe I've bitten off a bit more than I can chew). All I want the TAS to do is get to Practice Mode, select a character (currently Jago), and then demonstrate all of that character's combos. I've managed to complete the first two goals pretty easily - currently I'm looking at Jago standing in Practice Mode. The problem arising for me is that I can't get any of his combos to fire. A good portion of the combos for every character in Killer Instinct require quick movement on the D-pad, for example swiping from down to down-right to right, and I can't seem to make this work - instead of performing the combo, Jago just ducks then performs his normal attack. Does anyone know how to simulate the quick movements on the D-pad using the piano roll?
