No, an unoptimized run is not better than none. Vault may be much more lenient in regards to entertainment value, but it still has technical standards.

I'm not really seeing much more room on this site for yet another playaround of this game. We already have threeofthem published right now.
I see what you mean when you talk about modes, but it doesn't seem to apply here. UMK3 Tournament Mode and SFA3 Dramatic Battle use different game modes, but this run doesn't seem to use any different mode (correct me if I'm wrong - I haven't seen the full movie).
If anything, I would put this up against [2087] Genesis Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 "playaround" by Dark Noob & KSYLATRON in 26:35.58 since both movies fulfill the same basic goal, doing playarounds on the standard mode. It doesn't make sense to arbitrarily allow any number of playarounds for one game published on the site - the movies need to be different. "This playaround plays with a different game mode" is a good difference. "This playaround uses different/all characters' is not a good enough difference in my opinion.

7zip can make zip files, WinRAR can make zip files, most if not all archiving tools I can think of can make zip files. And yeah, Windows can now do it natively as well.

Terra and the Outer Space autoscrolling section are done. Both were surprisingly simple. Tried to make the autoscroller interesting while also not abusing turbo too much (because of the noise it makes).

Uranus' stage is done, finally. This was quite a tricky stage, with lots of weapon management and luck manipulation.
Fun fact: I had to write a bot just to luck manipulate the final enemy's drop in the stage. It was that tricky.

ColdStardust does have different IPs, from Ohio, South Carolina and Arizona. (The former two belonging to #2, and the latter one to #1).
Though as of now, 31 out of 37 posts are from user #2. (The other six are from user #1.) So the vast majority of the posts do indeed come from just one of them.

Oh, it's definitely feasible. The moderator thread split tool displays all posts on a single page, and I can open up the math challenges thread (with all 1156 posts on a single page) with no problem.
