Is there any reason you don't use the SNES version, unlike all the other warpless runs of Super Mario Bros. 2 JPN? There's a reason why those use the SNES version - to get worlds A-D in the run. A proper warpless submission should include those stages as well, in order to continue on with the standard/precedent set by several other publications.

It seems pretty optimal (if it really isn't faster to shoot them up close every time). Is it possible to luck-manipulate them to go down more? If so, it seems that might still possibly speed up some of them.

It's been happening on-and-off for the last couple of months. I skip the credits. The second-to-last cutscene image I skip (with a portrait of X) is when the credits would have appeared. The final cutscene image (Iris) is about unlocking Boss Attack mode. After skipping that, the game resets.

I imagine the Cell processor would be significantly harder to emulate than most conventional emulated consoles. Even the Sega Saturn is noticably behind emulation-wise (compared to similar consoles) because of its awkward hardware structure which makes it hard to emulate.
Also, I guess that five years ago no PC would be able to manage a PS3 emulator at an anywhere near sensible framerate, so it wouldn't really see much use at the time.

I actually tried something with X all stages once, about two years ago or so. The idea seemed interesting at first, until I discovered that it would be just like standard X-only for the first part, getting to Virus Stage 3, getting Ultimate Armor as soon as possible and then just nuking everything with Nova Strike.
(Though I did have another interesting idea with doing Volt Kraken's stage first, as the stage doesn't profit too much from Nova Strike and Tri-Thunder is useful for Shadow Devil and Rangda Bangda W.)
I don't think it adds a lot to the current publications, though. The current runs already cover everything to see in the game pretty well.

It's only been up for 12 hours and a bit. Give it time.
Especially without an encode or streaming video, it can take more time until someone is interested enough to watch the movie in an emulator. The fact that there wasn't any submission text the first couple hours probably didn't help either.
Anyway, I've been intending to watch this (particularly to compare with #3787: McBobX's GBA Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance "all furniture" in 24:10.45), but I haven't had time for it today. I will take a look at it later.
EDIT: I have seen your run now. It looks very nice, especially considering it is a quite significant improvement by multiple minutes to both McBobX's run and the currently published run.
