Well, I watched it. It's like a typical HappyLee work: Super Mario Bros. TASing brought to an art form. Very entertaining run. Yes vote.

I also agree with moozooh. It just looks like a crummy 2x speedup of the same game. (Yes, I'm aware it's exactly that, but that doesn't help its case).

Awaiting encode. Then again, it's HappyLee with a Super Mario Bros. TAS, so I could almost just go and vote yes already. Almost.

It feels odd that it looks like the first to-be-published Windows TAS is going to be what visually looks like a crappy Mario clone. (Not that there's anything wrong with the game itself, mind.) Anyway, yes vote. The "Everything Trying To Kill You" aspect of the game remains surprisingly visible in the TAS.

Syobon Action is one of these games which is mildly fun to play, but boring to watch because you miss the Everything Trying To Kill You aspect when just watching a TASed no-death playthrough. I'll not vote until I've watched an encode, but unless there's something very surprising in there, I'm not expecting much of it.

That's because of the encoder forgetting to turn off pause after playback. The frozen part is exactly where the input file ends.

Magneto Magneto again Magneto yet again Magneto once again Just to get that out of the way. (Themes are from X-Men: Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom 3 respectively) And from the same series, Captain America (Marvel Super Heroes theme). Even better when pitched up. And Akuma's X-Men vs. Street Fighter theme. Which in turn leads me to Street Fighter: More of Akuma. (Alpha 2 and Hyper SF2 respectively). Adon (Alpha 2 again) Abel, C. Viper, Gouken, Volcanic Rim and Deserted Temple (Street Fighter 4) Oni's theme (Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition) And then there's also the Mega Man series. I'm not going to list every single favorite as it'd be very long (though I feel tempted to do it), so I'll just pick the best Robot Master/Maverick/whatever stage theme from each game. Mega Man 1: Ice Man Mega Man 2: Flash Man Mega Man 3: Gemini Man Mega Man 4: Dust Man Mega Man 5: Crystal Man Mega Man 6: Blizzard Man Mega Man 7: Shade Man Mega Man 8: Frost Man Mega Man 9: Splash Woman Mega Man 10: Chill Man Mega Man: Dr. Wily's Revenge: Elec Man Mega Man II: Air Man Mega Man III: Spark Man Mega Man IV: Pharaoh Man Mega Man V: Saturn Mega Man 8 Saturn: Tengu Man Mega Man & Bass: Cold Man Mega Man Powered Up: Time Man Mega Man X: Storm Eagle Mega Man X2: Flame Stag Mega Man X3: Volt Catfish Mega Man X4: Jet Stingray Mega Man X5: Duff McWhalen Mega Man X6: Blaze Heatnix Mega Man X7: Soldier Stonekong Mega Man X8: Avalanche Yeti Mega Man Xtreme: Magna Centipede Mega Man Xtreme 2: Tunnel Rhino Maverick Hunter X: Flame Mammoth Mega Man X3 PSX: Gravity Beetle Mega Man Zero: Anubis Necromancess III Mega Man Zero 2: Kuwagust Anchus Mega Man Zero 3: Blazin' Flizard Mega Man Zero 4: Sol Titanion Mega Man ZX: Lurerre the Abysroid Mega Man ZX Advent: Aeolus Phew.

Yes, because if someone is OBVIOUSLY detrimental to the website and its community, behaves as such INTENTIONALLY, and is most definitely NOT willing to improve, actually getting rid of the problem, rather than continuing to put up with an obvious and self-admitted asshole, is the worst decision ever. I think it would be a decent idea to TAS all 51 events in one run. Many events force to use a particular character, and other events also would be done by multiple different characters because each is good at its own thing.

I agree with AngerFist. I didn't see any entertainment in this movie at all. I think TASing some Marvel/Capcom fighting games (X-Men: Children Of The Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Figher, Marvel vs. Capcom) would have a better change at publication.

Alright, so I tried out something with it. Unfortunately, the game crashes on 1-3 when getting to the hidden toad house position (regardless of if you are behind the wall or not), so the regular warps route wouldn't be possible, unless there's a way to avoid the crash.

Considering how X3 is much different to the 'real' PSX titles, I don't think that'd be a good idea. Even X1+X2+X3+7 would be a better idea, in my opinion.

MMX3 had speed-entertainment tradeoffs (killing Bit and Byte) and aimed for best ending. This TAS doesn't do either. Also, because MMX3 is longer than MMX and MMX2, the author hardly went out of the way in MMX3 for the other two games, preferring to waste time in those games instead.

I'm pretty sure the same thing is impossible in Adventure Mode because of physics differences between Event!Race and Adventure!Race. In Adventure Mode, the cars only hit you once at a time, so you can't get massive speed boosts of them. Seeing Captain Falcon in Adventure Mode could be interesting though. Relies more on combo's than Fox and less on only two moves (shine and drill kick) to deal damage to opponents. And I've already seen Fox so many times it isn't funny anymore.

The ways you sometimes were busy completely running way from the enemy/stalling the fight, especially near the beginning, detracted greatly from the entertainment and didn't feel TASlike at all. Abusing the (stupid) AI didn't look good either. Fortunately, many other battles were better in regards to entertainment. But this run is very improvable in the entertainment department, which is what the whole run is about. Meh vote.

Bump. No emulation issues are resolved still, but I did find out something else: it's possible to get 9 clocks initially in What's Cookin' Doc, rather than 7. What do these two clocks mean to the route? Quite a bit, actually. About three moments of era-changing are saved. I updated the route to below:
Stage (Clocks, Golden Carrots)

Start (0, 0)
Nowhere (1, 10)

Wabbit on the run (10,32)
Guess Who Needs a... (11,37)

Hey, what's up, doc (20,54)

The Big Bank Withdrawal (26,69)
The Greatest Escape (1) (30,80)

What's Cookin' Doc (1) (39,104)

F. Red Pirate Road (1) (42,107)
When Sam met Bunny (43,109)

The Planet X File (57,135)

Objects in the mirror.. (61,150)
The Greatest Escape (2) (63,154)
La Corrida (64,159)

Vort X Room (68,159)

Witch Way To Albuquer.. (69,167)
What's Cookin' Doc (2) (73,179)
The Carrot-Henge Myst.. (81,199)
What's Cookin' Doc (3) (83,200)

Wabbit or Duck Season (84,200)
Magic Hare Blower (98,231)

The Carrot Factory (106,246)

F. Red Pirate Road (2) (107,252)
Mine or Mine? (117,293)

Downhill Duck (118,293)

Conquest of Planet X (119,307)
Train Your Brain (124,328)

Hub Golden Carrots* (124,333)

*hub Golden Carrots will be collected in between stages, not necessarily at the end (that's time-inefficient, not to mention impossible because 99 carrots is the max you can hold at any 1 time)
**The revisits (marked with (1), (2) etc.) are necessary due to these stages requiring spells to get all clocks. These spells can only be obtained after visiting these stages at least once.
***Empty spaces inbetween level names indicate switching times. Yes, that happens surprisingly often.

Yes, it will be used during the fights with the arms in the final bossfight sequence. For those arms alone 14 units of Salt Water are needed, and I only have 10 max. This combined with the fact that there are two other bosses weak to it in the same stage (Punk and Mars) mean that there will be a lot of refilling.
