If I could, I would obviously have done that. Too bad that, as ALAKTORN pointed out, I can't do that from clear SRAM. The run would be much, much shorter otherwise.

I love how someone made a comparison video even if there's little to compare at all between this run and the last Rockman 1 run.

If I understood the explanation, it seems like someone made a ROM hack implementing a cheat that allows this to work on a real console. Isn't it possible to test with the original game?
Theoretically, yes, but there's a reason this is used in a TAS only and a bot used 1.5 million rerecords to do it.

Well, that is the kind of effort that should be spent to make optimized TASes of games with complex physics like this.

Nope, because invincibility still needs to count down between hits when using the pause trick, making it equally fast to not using pause trick. And as was posted before it doesn't work with the pea shooter.

I think he meant more like why you didn't do it earlier, like right after Elec Man, potentially reducing lag in Ice Man and Fire Man stages.

Okay, I finished watching it. Amazing run. I love how a few stages were skipped for the most part now, and how every stage past Bomb Man was graphically glitched a lot of times. Obvious yes vote, and nomination for TAS of the year.

Funny how due to a file error of some sort the rerecord count is the highest ever, but yet the optimization level is fairly low.

The forcing surrender glitch was hilarious to see, and the run seems to be optimized enough this time. Yes vote.

Improvements where? I'd think the quite new run by adelikat, andymac, Lord Tom and Tompa was thought out enough not to have any obvious improvements.

He wouldn't know to google SMWCentral. That said, yeah this site is definitely where you want to go when it comes to SMW hacking.
He would know to just google Lunar Magic or Super Demo World, though. Googling either has the first match being FuSoYa's site where you can download them.

So, you're posting just a time here without any way for us to confirm that you're not just making that up? (Also, SMG2 TASing is possible already? Wow.)

Progress is done up to where gameplay starts. In other words, no. Rolanmen1 and I both want to finish our current projects (he Zero 3 iirc, me ZX Advent) before looking at this.

Your TAS lacks entertainment. -You use Ryu and Akuma, two shotos who everyone who's ever touched a Street Fighter game knows the basic special moves of. I don't go "wow" when I see tatsu's thrown around everywhere. This is also what got your other fighting game TAS rejected. -You use very basic combos. I never saw you get above 8 hits (at least in the first three rounds, I gave up after that), excluding use of supers. I like errror1 also didn't get much of an impression that it was tool-assisted at all. It's just so basic it's boring. -You make no attempts to be entertaining. Compared to this TAS by errror1 which was posted earlier in this thread, you didn't use exploits to do the most super bar consuming moves right at the start, and you didn't use a joke character that makes viewers lol at half of the moves he does ("ULTRA VARIETY PRIVATE MEMORIES!!!"). In relation to the other points, it also chose two very different and non-standard characters, and most combos were >12 hits, going from the ground in the air and back and then in the air again, showing constant TAS-like pressure on the opponent, unlike your TAS which shows what pressure on an opponent is like in a real SF match. That is why people think your fighting TASes are bad and are rejected when submitted.

Thank you for the posts and links, I didn't said that there are no pages already that contains alternate goals or contains speed/entertainment tradeoffs, I'm just simply don't understand that why the submissions with "challanging" goals (just like my example: the lowest score and not 100%) has to be very fast (to be published) even if they are about to waste time since it's required to fulfill those goals.
Because people find ten minutes of wall kicking and jumping around all the time repetitive, annoying and boring. And if people don't like it, it's unlikely to be published.
