This is getting a very strong yes vote from me. If I could vote yes on it more than once (without TASing the site), I would. Way more entertaining than the standard run. The way you move with the extra enemies makes it seem like Mario is some kind of Bulldozer Tank with a one track mind. If only all runs looked this good. 1-2 enemy stomp was great, 4000 points! Your antics in 2-3 were your best yet. 4-3 was great too antics-wise, killing 3 enemies simultaneously like that, amazing. This is what TASing is all about. All in all, one of the best runs I've seen in a long time.
So this is a non game specific competition, but you have to use metroid? I don't follow.
So, i figured that you must return back if you beat Model L (2) as the final boss, because you need to warp to Area X before going to Area M, and in Area J you can't warp, so i think i should beat Model L (2) before both Model Ps.
For a title, how about "Swordless until Ganon"? Not too long, and captures the essence of the challenge.
Looking good! I don't suppose that the Model H fight could be manipulated so he doesn't do the "Dodge this!" move? Seems like that slowed things down significantly since you couldn't follow up with a ground slash.
Actually if you look a bit closer you'll notice that after I hit the old man in level 9 I get an enemy boost off of one of the fireballs toward the wall. This saved a couple frames over walking. As for the link to the Super Mario 64 TAS adelikat posted. Of course my opinion on this matter is probably a bit biased since I'd like to see my run approved, but I would argue that these runs cannot be compared for the simple fact that I have to incorporate an entirely different route plan from the published 1st quest movie, changing the enemy layouts, enemy drops, and item pick-ups. Whereas the Super Mario 64 submission I am assuming uses almost a mirror of the 120 stars route with minor changes to the re-entering of levels due to getting less stars and stars in a different order in each level. To me this is not a large enough distinction from the 120 star run to warrant a new category, whereas the only similar thing between my run and the published any% I would say are a few dungeon rooms.
