This technique is great because I recall crash bombs are effective against the wily machine in the next stage, and there are no refills between them. edit: since it seems you only need to use one against it, it's more useful for the quickman refight instead

Basically, instead of the server hosting through http, have it host through BT.

Now I'm picturing this scene, under the bridge would work well: Alex and Ryan arrive and see the two enemies, Ryan decides to sit back and let Alex do all the work. Alex does well for a while but soon he has trouble fending them both off. As he starts taking a beating, Ryan jumps in knocking them both away, but accidentally hitting Alex too. Ryan finishes the enemies off as Alex comes to, then Alex starts attacking Ryan. Ryan just blocks all the moves and as he's backed to the edge, he picks up Alex, chucks him into the river, and walks away.

With what little I've seen of them, it could be a Phantasy Star game, so try checking those out.

Yeesh. I'm starting to think I should hook up my NES to my dvd recorder and put the dvd image up for download, just so you can find the right size.

Don't you get an issue with S3&K because of the bonus stages you can gain rings in? Although I guess the same could be said for the Casino Night slot machines...

VBA should run at 60 fps by setting your Frame Skip to 0. For some reason it defaults at 2 when you first install it. If it's still choppy to you, your processor probably can't handle it at that speed.

Didn't you say you weren't going to do a TAS ever again?

I'd just like to say that "Members vs. Time" graph bothers me, because time should be on the horizontal axis.

As far as keylogging goes, there's a reason many keyboards only support 3 keys at once. Excluding shift/ctrl/alt modifiers, that is. Mouse you can store as either an (x,y) location, or relative movement, and won't take much space either way.[/quote]

In the pathway just before the Fortress of Winds, there's a part where you need to shrink and turn on a statue. If you cut the grass before shrinking yourself, you can get a more direct route to and from the statue when you're small. That's the main thing I noticed in this newest section.

http://www.lik-sang.com/list.php?category=178&select=1&view=&sort=standard&name=&company=&genre=Memory& Those there will be the most basic of memory packs, though there are others not listed there that are multipurpose, and function as action replays and video ram expansions, etc. http://www.lik-sang.com/info.php?category=178&products_id=1694& This one is probably the best choice if you aren't worried about the higher cost.

Knuckles might have an advantage to getting Chaos Emeralds, since unlike Sonic, he doesn't lose his rings after entering the special stage.

What, you've never used the turbo button when watching something?

I can't find any flaws in your route, and your goals are good. I'm glad you aren't going to take death at checkpoints, it would just look sloppy, and it's not worth taking the damage and dying just to get those few extra points. During gameplay, try to avoid excessive use of the turbo and brake, instead only use it in a few situations, such as if it helps you hit more enemies, or when there's nothing happening like the points between switches in MacBeth. Also go ahead and do the few special spots where loops and such are expected, like how the first stone arch in Corneria gets you a bomb, etc. Also, because it's a score run, don't worry about the time you take in the level, apart from beating bosses as fast as possible. I think you should let the intro run, and not skip any pre-level briefings and cutscenes. Feel free to cancel the Star Wolf appearance cutscene partway though, since that will make them be in a different spot before you gain control, to give you an optimal attacking window.

I have to randomly say there's something about GameFreak's character designs that I find appealing.

When I tried using save states in Sonic CD a long time back, it would only work if the same audio track was playing. With this in mind, it might be possible with some effort, as long as every time you initially load the movie you always fast forward to the level/time period that you were on.

If you do a run from SRAM, I'd also like to see a Metaknight run of the game.

You aren't able to skip the cutscenes, mission briefing, etc. on the first time you view them. You'll have to live with it, since if you do a run, it has to work from a blank save. This also means you won't be able to do expert mode either, since as you know, that needs medals in all the stages to start with.

Yes. As it's been said, if you do a run for Starfox 64, you should try to reach the highest score possible. Going for as fast as possible is a bad idea in this game since it's mostly a fixed speed anyway, and all it would consist of is holding the turbo button and killing bosses as fast as possible. Also, perfect accuracy wouldn't be good since you get extra points for every enemy you kill indirectly with a charged shot. edit: Actually, I think it's possible to continuously use only charged shots without firing any strays because of how the charges are fired. Since you hold A for a bit, then let go and press A again to fire, you just need to continue holding the button after firing to start the next shot. Add holding in A before the opening cutscene ends, and you should be able to manage 100% accuracy. This aside, it's likely impossible to hit every single enemy this way, so you might want to resort to other methods in certain circumstances, like bombs in the asteroid fields in Meteo, and basic lasers for the larger enemies like the disc stations in Area 6.
