I just thought I'd post in here to let you know there is someone in Japan working on their own run, though theirs isn't NG+. I suppose if there's anything I want you to get from this, it's to make sure you use 4 player mode. Link to video Link to video Link to video Link to video

Found a nicovideo encode, if you want the 60fps experience. Link to video Don't ask me why the title claims it's warpless.

I'm watching the side by side comparison on nico and I just noticed the castle 2 clear animation is different between them. Fire Mario does an extra jump after destroying it all compared to last time's Cape Mario.

Here's a full encode on nicovideo, really enjoyed it. The blackout bug is pretty interesting, too. Link to video Link to video edit: Just thought I'd clarify that I'm not the one that made this encode, I just happened to find it there.

Can someone give an actual argument why the category should be removed, other than "it's stupid", which is just childish?
I don't see why an entire category should be tied to whether a game is mentioned on some unrelated website. You might as well start adding icons for games featured on SDA. Or one which has a Let's Play done by some other well known person.

You might be able to manage it if you put both coconuts on the same side, that way you can have it try to clip you in that direction and there will be more of a wall.

The point remains we shouldn't have a system that can be difficult for colourblind people to use.

I don't have a premium account, and I can find them sorted by upload date without a problem. Just above the video listings after you search, there's a dropdown with all the different sort options. The 投稿日時が新しい順 option (4th from bottom) lets you view the most recent upload first. Alternatively, just use this: http://www.nicovideo.jp/tag/TAS?sort=f

I'd just like to make a request that the next time you do an encode, use the lua script that blocks the music change when you go super.

So uh.. I don't suppose there's some way you can hack out the boost start sound effect, is there?

That point was explained in-depth in the previous submission, but it has to do with a mechanic where you can recover from fatal damage with precise timing. The damage still appears, but it's instantly restored.

That's unfortunate about the encode, but I guess I can live with it until a proper one comes along. I'm glad the new version includes some weapon forging, it felt like that was an important element missing from the old run, and I'm glad it pays off. Can you elaborate on that final comment? How do you equip a level 14 sword at level 12? Does it have something to do with the game mode?

I too agree with chronological order, although sometimes it would mean seeing the same boss fight twice in a row.

It makes me kind of sad that after spending so much time dumping in 720p at ~3 fps, then encoding, my youtube encodes have 50-150 views, and then someone rips acts 1-3 to nico with horribly shitty quality, and it gets 50k views and 1600 comments in 2.5 days.
To be fair, TASes are one of the more popular things searched for on Nico, and the way things are ranked means you'll just get even more views once you break the top 100 for a category. It is currently 21st most popular for games, 50th for the combined culture rating. You shouldn't expect similar views for something on YouTube since it won't get as much promotion. Also, the low quality may just have been because you were watching while the site was in economy mode?

It's been pretty much a year, but have you ever felt like making more of these again? I started thinking about how I'd love to see one made for Snake Rattle n Roll.

Well, he did submit a warpless video just prior to this, though it was cancelled due to being too similar to the NES version. There's a good chance you could work from it.

Actually, a score attack in something like the Stunt Mode of Rush 2049 could be interesting. Though a 100% completion of that game would be far more interesting to me, with all the gold coin collection, and you get to include the race and obstacle modes (seen below). Link to video

Could someone make a list that's just the top rated song from each game? I think that would be interesting to see.

No wonder some of my favourite songs didn't show up in the rankings, the game wasn't even nominated! Rollerball Title Theme Main Theme

I always thought a good minecraft challenge would be to play without crafting. Or if that's too difficult, just without any pickaxes.
