What, no mention of Cave Story yet? Japanese freeware, but the site I linked to has a translation patch. It's another game with clear Metroid influence. Has a bundle of secrets too. Also, I had Supaplex when I was young, it was indeed quite fun and evil. You were allowed to skip three levels if you were stuck, too. Then when you were stuck after that you could go back and finish those and get your skips back. As far as other games... I dunno. Flipull is a pretty decent NES puzzle game that I remember. Only played it because my friend had a "Super 700-in-ONE" pirate cart. I'd also like to say The Neverhood. A great graphic adventure for the PC, if a bit short once you know what you're doing. I have a torrent running for the CD image, but I'm not sure if it's kosher to link to it. The game is abandonware, but the version available on the underdogs is crappy compared to the one I made. Maybe I'll post more later if I think of anything else.

What you're looking for is probably the Options / Filter / Interframe Blending option. Motion Blur in that will be what you're looking for. I don't know how the Smart blend works differently, but I have a feeling it has something to with sprite layers or something.

Clearly you are missing the best part of this code. THE SHOE. But yeah, you can also abuse the statue invulnerability by hold down+b to go to statue, then hitting select to switch to another ability. This'll let you walk around while still invincible. I think the best combination is entering a level with the P-wing, flying up, quickly switching to Tanooki statue and back to Raccoon Mario before landing. Invincible, infinite flight enabled power.

This reminds me, when I try to watch this movie now, it's screwing up at a place it never did the last few times I watched this. Now it seems to be adding a few extra slides where it shouldn't as you go up the first hill in the catacombs, which causes the rest to desync, and I can't figure out why it's doing this. Any ideas?

I think it's more like at least 1 of every type of item, excluding the few where you're only allowed one or the other, and getting all the magic tabs and such. And maybe not every type of purchaseable item.

This sounds like an instance where it might be best not to do 6-frame dashes, but instead opt for fewer.

Hey, I'm actually running a dedicated server that you can join whenever you want. Server name: ZIIING! Password: spoon I've got most of the important mods running. Also you can hold 10 items instead of 5, so although the UI doesn't show them by default, you still access them with 6-0.

Making it to scale with the lego characters isn't too bad, you just won't be able to get that much detail for the enemies and stuff. I tried a bit where I used 2x2x2 per block size and it wasn't that great, but maybe with 4x4x4 you can get it to be decent, although 8 times the work.
