I'm not Phil, but the only homage for SMB3 I could see would be the whole 99 live thing that Mormotto did. Obviously you can't make a simple image of that , so the MM zipping thing is way better.

Well, I'd like to get the desyncs out of the way before I work on this more. Maybe somebody cool like Nitsuja can find a way to make the game ignore the battery save and that should fix desyncs.

Cool, now all we need is MMX, (*cough* Fractal *cough*) and we'd have two of the three big M's here. (Metroid being the missing one.) Edit: Obviously voted yes too.

I'll reconsider doing this sometime in the future if experts on this game help on the route planning. I suck at route planning and I'm lazy. TASing is a hard enough job. Planning a route on a complicated non linear game like this would make me insane.

Somebody other than me needs to do Rocket. If I had the perfect route already there for me I might feel alittle more compelled to do it.

Well, it's cool that it works and emulates so well. The game does start off to be a little boring, but once moves are learned, harder levels visited and more vehicles are used, it should get much better. BK gets more entertaining as it goes on aswell.

Here is a crappy test run I made just to see if it desyncs. (no use trying to get interest in the game if it doesn't work after all.) I got the first four tickets in the first level, and I played in realtime with no states. (I know I suck, blame my controller.) I'm still not working on this, but tell me if it desyncs or not. If it doesn't desync, somebody should definately pick it up!

This game is great. I'm surprised it hasn't been brought up any. It's a rather unknown gem that never gained a lot a buzz. It's very similar to BK, but you go around collecting tickets instead of jiggles. There's cool moves you can buy (with tinker tokens), and cool vehicles you can ride in. The game is set in an amusement park. You are able to make your own rides, and you can even ride them and get a ticket for it. Also, from what I've seen it emulates fine. The game isn't terribly long either from what I remember. I'm just hoping to get some interest in this game, and hoping someone picks it up. I'm too busy with other stuff to do this.

Here is Nod 3. I doubt the strategy will change in the real TAS. I simply walk my engineer in their base and take the prison and win. My bikes prove to be good body shields. I'm sure in the real TAS it will look much nicer, and I can probably micro my bikes and not lose any.

I give this a yes. While I can't vouch for how optimized it is (I've never played it.), I can say it was entertaining enough even though It seems like a boring game. There are definately more boring games published here that aren't even 3D. (I'm not implying 3D is always better, but that you can do more with a 3D game TAS.) I enjoyed the space levels most of all.

My philosophy is if it isn't making me money, I'm not going to waste my energy trying to impress people. Wait, why am I here then. My personality is conflicted..:(

Here is Mission 2. Apparently you can't make Engineers from the Rax in that mission. (Pity, it changed my strategy slightly) There are a few things I would of done in the real run here. I'd keep making more Raxes, deploy the CY at the start (I don't think it's faster than a engineer after all, and you get extra minigunner which would help having them earlier.), not get all my men squished by the enemy harvester (hehe :P ), and obviously micro my men better. This is a test run after all.

The game saves automatically. It doesn't ask you save or not. So, unfortunately everyone will have to keep deleting that file.

Here is a very hard to do Rain infinite. It has to be like frame perfect almost. It starts off very glitchy and cool. Scorp flys to the other side of the screen!

I'm not sure I quite understand this... explain?
If it desyncs for you, go to your Mupen directory, open up the 'save' folder, then delete the C&C save in the there. (Should be like C&C (U) [!].fla) I'll probably redo Mission 1 again with different settings so I don't have this annoying inconvience.

Nod 1 v2 done. It looks a lot better I think. It's a bit faster too. I'll work on Nod 2 tommorow. The strategy I have for it should work well. Edit: It seems to desync for me atleast if I have a save for the game in the save folder, so just delete it if it desyncs. Wonder why it's doing that though...

You get a hand full of Minigunners and 3 jeeps to start with. It should be enough. I just have to make sure the engineer makes it to the Rax and the Rax doesn't die.

Btw, my strategy for mission 2 is the following: 1. Move all units right away to the left outside the enemy base, killing everything in the way while the Contruction Yard vehicle is on the way. 2. Deploy the CY when it catches up to my units. 3. Sell my CY ASAP for a free engineer. 4. Slip my engineer in their base and take their Rax. 5. Pump out one Engineer from the Rax to take their CY. 6. Pump them Minigunners good. 7. Keep building more Raxes as $ permits. 8. Sell their CY when I need the $. 9. Win after I kill everything How's that sound?

I'm going to redo mission 1. I got a nice analog controller to use now, so it'll be way easier than using the keyboard. Not like mission 1 is super long anyway.

It is fairly hard to control. I'm just using like 25% speed for this though. I haven't use the imput plugin controls yet. I just have the analog go as far as it can. If I do a real version after this, I'll probably use those tools.

First Nod mission done. The path finding isn't perfect so I have to keep telling them to do stuff sometimes, or they get stuck, or delay some.

I'm going to do a test run on the first 2 or so Nod missions. Mainly for me to get used to the game and to show what potential it has in a TAS.
