I wouldn't mind ZM 100% even though some items are useless.. (The power bombs for example, what were they thinking? Seems like you barely use them, and you get them at the very end.)

Anyone interested in this game? It's pretty different from the genesis game. I'm semi interested in this game. Here's a unoptimized test run I made of level one. I used the Taz-Mania (U) [!] rom. My question is should I keep going with this? Will this get repetitive quicky? The later levels get much harder.

You're totally missing the point. Just because the movie file can be downloaded from the workbench doesn't mean everyone has seen it. I'm sure alot of people who watch these movies only see the movies when they are published. Probably because they don't visit the forums, and they get the AVI/Movie file when it's published. I don't want these same people watching an obsolete run that lags all over when it shouldn't be and having flaws in playing.

This has been encoded for several weeks now.. It sure would be nice to see this published someday... It seems like a slap in the face to me who worked on this run, to just let it sit there for several weeks while all the work is pretty much done(the encoding). If runs like SMW can be published a day after, then every other run should be too if the playing is good. This is why the voting system is irrelevant. If I chose a Mega Man game or something instead, it would be probably be published fast because of bias here. This may very well be the last TAS I contribute if this is how it's gonna be.

Four hit combo! I play with Kitana up till Jax. Note that the first round against Baraka I used slowmo and the rest I didn't. So if it looks like it's desyncing, wait cause it's probably my crappy skills. :P It seems like sync sound samples was the magic solution. I have that and WIP timing selected.

Heh, I'll doubt I'll do a serious run. I have other things I want to do first and I had to do round 2 like 4 different times as it kept desyncing. I don't think I could bear that in a full run. I might make another test run using Kitana, as she can do some really annoying juggling.

I forgot to mention I'm running Snes9x V9 so that could be it. The CRC of the rom is 1C3D3B72 though.

Here is a test run I made in MK2. I used Reptile and showed some of the juggling I discovered with him. Let me know if it desyncs or not. I used the 1.0 Rom.

This run is a fluke. I always wondered how JXQ can pump out these runs like that, and now I know. He took a good run barely improved it and removed almost all of the entertainment value that is currently in Viper's + Flag's run. Voting NO, you could try again, but why bother?

Kaz discovered an awesome "knockback" glitch with the double jump. Here is a quick and dirty movie I made showcasing the glitch on candles. It seems to work on anything that you can kick off of. This TAS is gonna own, but Kaz has to start over from the feather... :( Edit: Here is another movie I made out of boredom. Thats probably not the best place to show it being used rapidly though.

I was gonna wait till the first missiles, but screw it. Heres the first WIP at the Morph Ball. I'm currently 330 frames faster than Teri's run. The next WIPs will be at the Supers then Kraid. Edit: For the people who watch with input on, pay attention to the ship landing. :P

It looks a lot better! I'm really surprised you could enter the first house like that. The game is pretty random in which house you can enter first and whatnot. Edit: I can't think of anything that would help you now so I'll just say I admire your persistence. Edit2: If you (somehow) manage to visit the levels in left-right order, get rid of as much lag as you can, and dominate the bosses, you should be significantly faster than the 1 player movie.

Use this for all your hosting needs. I suggest making a topic in NES games so people can find it easier and comment on your run.

I'm loosing a frame on the turf that is above the hole the leads to the bomb torizo. Somehow JXQ gets slightly more arm pumping without falling off the rough slopes than I, so I'm landing one frame later. It could be that I shot the door leading to the room too early, but that doesn't make sense.

I'll release the first real WIP at the first missles which should be shortly if I can figure out why I keep loosing a frame in this one area. Hopefully I can come up with a lot more stuff like that bomb tech. There isn't much room for innovation at this early in the run, though.

Even if it only saves 1 frame I'd be happy. It looks cooler than the current method and is new.

The current published movie is faster than you're movie by a significant amount. Also, for controlling 4 players thats a pretty low re-record amount. I haven't watched it yet, but I would think a four player run wouldn't be THAT much slower... Edit: Though 4 players=lots of lag probably..so yeah... Edit2: Yes, never underestimate lag. While I do think a 4 player run (on the NES for that matter) is a new and cool thing for TASing, I'm almost 99% sure you could of killed more monsters and reduced some of the lag. I can't vote Yes or No so I must vote Meh.

That bomb Tech saves 23 frames! Everybody say YAY. Here's two movies that I used to compair. Well, in a real movie it won't be as much of a frame gain as you would Mockball in that area if you were only planting one. I planted the bomb on the movie that didn't plant them both at the same frame as the one that did, so it would be an equal comparison. I might make two movies that start on the ground at the edge of the platform just to see how many frames I would really get.
