Rather then spending time there you should be spending more time in school.

I agree that the games being too fast. In Circle of The Moon sliding among other things feel too fast. I haven't even seen a trace of lag yet. I'm gonna put my run on hold till we have everything settled.

Is that faster run the speed of a mockball or faster? I never cared for mockball myself. Looks quite awesome so far, good luck.

I've been having a weird problem that I didn't have before. Basicly when I hit rerecord it skips anywhere from 10-20 frames. I'm using the newest version. No clue why it started doing it now...maybe I accidently changed some setting by mistake? Edit: So I deleted the ini file and started with fresh settings..no luck.. Edit2: I'm using 6% speed BTW. I suppose I can try pausing the emulator..

Yeah so now that we have a much better version to record on I've been secretly working on my final version. (Well if you frequent IRC it's no secret.) Grab my WIP Here. It plays till the save point after the Necromancer. I also made a small discovery, nothing huge though. If you double jump on the breakable platforms at the right time, it flings you ahead a small bit. Look at the ones in the audience room for a example. It's kinda hard to notice if you don't slow it down and look.

Bart's Nightmare? Good luck with that, tons of randomness.

Are you using the right rom? Correct WIP emulator found in the snes9x forum? Correct settings checked? All I can suggest.

I think I'll make a fast as possible jump to Kraid using the morph ball and see if it really is quicker.

He's asking if the power of the charged shots on Mother Brain is quicker then using missles that shoot faster. Arigato for the run BTW. :)

Well, if you haven't seen it in that messy topic, Heres my first version of my Circle movie. It clocks in around 25 minutes long and was done on Alpha 6. Use the US or European rom, they both work. Any comments or constructive criticism would be appreciated. Main improvements for the final version(whenever a more stable version of emu is out): -Run through the few enemys I jumped over or whipped if possible. -More optimal place to stand after the golem boss is defeated so Hugh doesn't walk as far. -Better wall jumps. If you have any to add or anything else, post it here. Oh and DSS glitching was used. I decided not the do the glitch that takes you straight to Drac. I would be far too weak anyways, so the battle would be very long. Check Here for a explanation of the DSS glitch and others.

Btw, earlier you asked if anyone could do the jump to Kraid's Lair without a wall jump. Heres a short movie without the wall jump. Not sure if it's faster or not. I didn't 100% optimize it, but it's about almost as fast as possible.

All I can suggest is using frame advance with the frame counter on if your not already. Try looking at the counter and seeing how you can get to the door in the fewest frames possible. Edit: Kinda read that wrong..

I suggest you grab the Snes9x WIP Here, as it's much less painful. I have both respected save and load keys set on my Joypad, which makes life a lot easier. It sure beats Shift + F1 to save and F1 to load, which is what you'd have to use if you used the official. You can also map the ever useful frame advance to whatever you want.

I'm glad your doing this game as it's one of my favorites. I wish that you would do pure speed rather then 100% though. It's your call though, I will watch it anyways.

Yes, my vid will feel different. That's what I want, though. Not the same thing done over and over.
If it isn't broke, don't fix it. Seriously going by your logic on editing the AVI, I could just make a movie showing the Space Colony escape, then showing me beating Mother Brain and escaping. Yeah, I just skipped the whole game, but it's faster then any other Super Metroid run. I even got 100% Items and you didn't even need to see me collect them, because thats too much waiting.

Drac is dead! Total completion is exactly 25 minutes and 11 seconds. The ending requires user input, which is why I don't end it right after the final blow on Drac. Anyways, Grab the Movie Here.
My only question is around frame 43000 or so, which I think is in the clock tower. You jump off the left wall then off the right wall to access a ledge, but couldn't you just jump off the right wall instead?
If your talking about one of the wall jumps then your probably right. A couple could of been done with about one or two less jumps. Thats one of the few errors on my part, the Hugh convo after the golem boss being another. I probably could of found a more optimal spot so he doesn't walk so far.

Update, Evil Hugh got his ass handed to him. Grab the new movie Here. Now only Drac is left...

Update, just killed Camilla. Grab the new movie Here. The Underground Waterway area was really annoying. The fact I survived with no equipment, not purifying the water, and being such a low level is kinda funny. Only Hugh and Drac are left now, but right now I'm beat.

If you haven't seen it, Heres my Circle of The Moon WIP. It plays all the way to the goat boss. I'm using the DSS glitch, but I decided to do the normal route rather then glitching to Drac. The US and European rom should work, but I'd go with the US to be safe. This was done on Alpha 6. If you need a explanation of how the DSS Glitch works, check Here.

I've pretty much given up with Harmony of Dissonance so if anyone else wants to do it, be my guest. I've decided to do Circle instead, which is by far imo the best of the three. Hopefully soon this site will have some GB and GBA movies to watch.
