The run was perfect until the end. Ending the movie before the final Wily mode end is strange, even with the game finishing anyway......

(Disclaimer: In no way am I an expect in Mario64. I don't know how much different the 70-star run would be from the 100% run.)
As a no-Mario64 expert, I can see, at least, no or a few 100 coins stars. I believe this, alone, would make the game significant faster. Also, some red coins stars seems to take a long time to collect.
Maybe entire worlds could be skipped (like Dire Dire Docks).

About the movie well.. That's why I'll not vote, I don't really know it this is better than NES one or not.
But I disagree about the game. The GB's tunes are way above the NES' ones, and the "ending" looks better too.

because it's not a run of the "full" game, just a mode. plus in this mode the gameplay is different than the original mode (2 player again's 1 CPU)
and if i read corectly the submission text, you got an infinite super bar...
this should stay a concept that show fast paced and interesting combos/glitchs
or concept demo that show that arcade emulation is possible.
Well, it would be a "dramatic mode mode run" It's not really a concept, it's game mode with his own rules.

If, some day, we change the site to allow for arbitrary goal movies to be published, for example in a manner not entirely different from the old "concept demos", this submission can be handled in that section, but for now, it is outside our scope.
Nice decision, Bisqwit. Although I'd question the arbitrariness of this goal, I believe this would be a nice touch.
But, in reality, I believe the old (dead?) "concept demos" already IS the right place to arbitrary movies. After all, a "small%" IS a different concept. I read, some time ago, someone questioning the criteria used by concept demos, maintaining the Chrono Trigger's New Game + in this criteria while maintaining the "small only" Super Mario World run, as well as the "walkaton" SMB movie.
I propose a reformulation in the "concept demos"... concept. Shouldn't be the "trashcan" of Nesvideos, but a place for different ideas that derivate too much from the other movies.
The definition about which movie should and what shouldn't be there would be hard, but in my opinion would worth it.
