should we keep the old version or have this submission obsolete it?
He's asking if it should obsolete the old one or not, he's not saying that it should.

Yes, it's definitely not in my junk box. Oddly, enough, since I've posted in here I started getting notifications for the topic that I was linked here from in the first place.

I hope I wasn't coming across as pushy when I asked about your encode a few days ago... I wasn't trying to, I was just curious since there hadn't been an update.

I've been noticing this a lot lately too. And because of issues on another site, my cache and my cookies have both been cleared pretty recently.

Wtf? Why am I not getting e-mail updates from this thread? I came in to see if Mister Epic maybe had edited an older post with his encode to find 7 new posts...

Awesome, I'll be sure to set aside Civ V for a while to watch it.

Sorry to bother you about it but: Mister Epic, is your encode going to be done somewhat soon?

Easy yes vote for me. Entertaining and incredibly well done. Out of curiosity, what level were you when you faced Death?
He's level 9 at death. (level 15 at legion and level 20 at balore, if you're interested.)
Jeez... I usually reach Death between levels 14 and 17 on hard mode and get stuck. (Not TASing) He's really quite difficult at that level.

Will watch this as soon as Mister Epic's encode is done. Almost certainly a yes vote though.

Voted no. Played well but even being such a short TAS it couldn't keep my attention at all. Flying over levels might be faster but it's hardly entertaining in any way.

Refraining from voting because I'm totally lost. (voting yes... seriously though, I'm totally lost on this one.)

The reason the SNES version of Lost Levels was used is because you have to beat the game multiple times to have access to both worlds 9 and worlds A through D on the NES/Famicom versions. On the SNES version you can get it all in one playthrough. (Or something along those lines.)

Quite entertaining for being such a long TAS. That's a lot of hole in ones...

Entertaining run. It looks like it's mostly easier than NES Ninja Gaiden. The last boss battle reminds me a lot of Galbalan, the last boss on Ys III fo SNES. (Yes vote)

I think the run should stay as-is but I can definitely see Nach's point about it too. I think the run would stay more entertaining the way it is as it's not too long already.

It's been claimed for judging. No decision can be rendered until 72 hours are up, but now the other judges know they don't need to worry about this particular movie except as viewers.
I see, I didn't know that.

1. Download VBA-rr 2. Download "Shining Soul II (U)" ROM 3. Download the submission 4. Open all the ZIP, RAR, 7z, etc. files; you should have a .exe, a .vba, and a .vbm somewhere. 5. Launch VBA-rr (no installation required), Open the ROM, then go to Tools>Movie>Play Movie and choose the submission file.
I should already have VBA-rr, (I think) I'm just being lazy.

This is already being judged despite there being only 4 votes? I'd watch it and vote but I don't feel like figuring out how to run movie playbacks in VBA.

I found the run to be well played but the game doesn't seem to have much entertainment potential. Although the level immediately after that green harpy looking boss reminded me a lot of Ninja Gaiden for some reason... (Voting yes.)

Votes like that which are publicized like his should be discounted though.
