...Well, this is a first; I've never before seen a SNES game that was trying so hard to sound like a low-tier Genesis game.

I liked the part where the bastard child of Pikachu and J. Random Smurf ran out of other Pokemon to avoid and had to run past koopas, metools and ... scorpion-prawns, I guess? Apparently the goombas have too great a sense of personal pride to allow themselves to be in this. Also, I'm vaguely embarrassed at how long it took me to realize that the reason Not-At-All-Pikachu was tripping my Vaguely Familiar Design Detail alarm was because it had Smurf feet.

The soundtrack in this game is surprisingly good. The music has that sort of small-ensemble sound, kind of splitting the difference between the old DePatie-Freleng shorts (at least the music that wasn't Mancini's Pink Panther theme) and, of all things, Ms. Splosion Man. Plus the tool-accelerated gateway glitch and the rapid boss beatdowns help keep the TAS from falling into the "normal play except more efficient" trap that many Leghorn-Swoggled-style platformers end up in.

Apparently one of the most well-hidden superpowers in Spider-man's arsenal is the ability to clip through level geometry.

Given how many runs the site has against Jump'n'Shoot Man, I suppose it was only inevitable that someone resurrected his grandpappy.

Kangaroo: the heartwarming tale of a mother marsupial wearing completely irrelevant boxing gloves, who uses her newly-discovered powers of teleportation to rescue her little joey. TENOUTTATEN.

...Well, crap. The game itself keeps hammering you with "Kumbayah!" and "It never hurts to help!" clips at the start of each area. All that leaves me is some limp line about AGDQ possibly being a benefit for Elmo's kid brother Timmy, so he can finally have that operation to correct the botched back-alley tummy tuck he got last year. It's even lamer when I read it back to myself. Nice work on the improvement, WarHippy. Looks like my failure to grab a copy of this game from Kay-Bee back in the day was actually a dodged bullet (I loved the show).

First of all, why are you using an alias, Samsara? What even is a 'slamo' anyways?
I'm in the midst of a transition to becoming Slamsara, Queen of Dunks.
Well, this can only mean one thing: It's time for The Quad City DJs vs. TASvideos.

This run doesn't sync with the [!] version, but does sync with the version labeled as (Beta) by the Good tools. That aside, I like how badly you abuse the jump mechanics, and how you go all Umihara Kawase with the rope. Gotta admit, the physics of that rope are pretty incredible for a Gameboy title.

So, let's rework that description to make it a little more accurate:
Alex Kidd in High Tech World is a action video game series of fetch-quests with platforming and adventure walking and stair-climbing elements, released by Sega in 1987 for the Sega Master System, that is was reskinned with new character sprites, art and dialogue to fool hungry gamers into thinking it was part of the Alex Kidd series. It accomplished the remarkable feat of making ninja-fighting seem dull.
There. Much better.

That edited comic may well be the best endzone dance ever. Of all time.

Lackluster platformer based on a lackluster cartoon? I did not see that coming. ... Okay, that's a lie, yes I did. But dekutony's done a fine job abusing the game's excessive gneerosity, like the veritable torrent of health-ups it throws at you, and particularly the hitboxes on the exit doors that allow him to exit a stage from underneath the door's platform. The one aspect of the show I appreciated completely out of proportion to its importance was the fact that Dukey-as-a-superhero wore the old Dynomutt costume.

Ow ow ow. Whoever thought that high-pitched keening sound was a good idea needs to be kicked in the teeth. Thanks for the warning, Spike.

Personally, wondering why the game spells out her name as "Ki" when the kana pretty clearly say "Kai".

This game accomplishes one task previously thought impossible: it makes you wish for the music from the Atari 2600 version.

You forgot to include "Beats Up a Dinosaur (with a Dude Riding It)" in the game goals. It's not as good as "Colors a Dinosaur", but it's pretty close.
