Because my friend's (JWinslow23's) first submission was cancelled, I know this is not worthy of publication, but it still is a cool TAS! I made this when I first heard about TASing, and since I thought this could actually get published, I made this. However, when JWinslow23's submission was cancelled, I abandoned this. I just recently found this on my computer, and decided to show you this. On dehacked: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1023865443/Monopoly%20fastest%20TAS.fm2 Give feedback!

Look, Jwinslow/PJ, If you were banned, you don't make another account. That gets you banned for good. It's happened before (portalofrain, codered, anyone?). So, you best delete your PJ account and log back in to the JWinslow account. I'm pretty sure you're unbanned by now.
How is that "other account" thing determined? At our school, we all have different e-mails and e-mail passwords, and since the only way I'd know JWinslow23's TASVideos password is if I knew his e-mail password (which I can't get access to). So how do you think that PJBostic and JWinslow23 are two accounts run by the same person? Look it up, Frank Lloyd Wright has two different students named Phillip Jaycob Bostic and Josiah Ryan Winslow, you can figure out whose account is whose! Jeez, just because we're real-world friends and it is made public here, people think of banning me.
The "other account" was determined/assumed due to the fact that your and JWinslow23's posts shared an IP address (I suppose it's likely your school's IP address). Though YoungJ's point is moot anyway, because the account PJBostic existed weeks before JWinslow23's ban. I can't confirm the thing with your names, but understand there were multiple reasons to suspect that JWinslow used an alt account (most suspiciously, reappearing after two weeks right at the time when JWinslow23 was banned). Either way, there should be no further problems with you or your account. (Your school's IP may still be banned, but I can't tell for sure). Just don't make the same mistakes that JWinslow did (which, other than spoiler tag abuse, also consisted of general immaturity, making tons of stupid or useless threads, and just annoying posting in general). Hope that clears up everything.
Got it. Now please, lock this topic. Warepire is right, this kind of stuff should be done in private messages to people like adelikat or Bisqwit.

You're right. I don't knwo why I posted it here, but I didn't know about the specific game topics. Lock this topic, whatever moderators are here!

Bans don't usually last long. Also, how did you know he meant that? Also, dont ask me anything, I'll be opening presents.
I think that would be inmplied. For example, would you say, "Grass is green! But why?" if you wanted to ask what your cousin's name is? No! Same principle applies here. If he would have meant what you thought he meant, he would have said, "Why was I banned in the first place?"

I am unbanned! But why?
Because you were annoying as hell. I quote Fractal:
JWinslow23 has recently been warned at least twice, and users have repeatedly called for his ban. Despite this, he still continues to make inane (and most recently, contentious) posts. JWinslow23 is now banned from posting and making submissions until Dec. 24, 2012.
I believe he meant, "But why (am I unbanned)?"

He was banned by that time, and he didn't tell me about it. I was just randomly browsing through the fourm, and found that post. You know what happened after that.

Creating or using another account to circumvent a ban is usually grounds for a more severe suspension, so if this was the case, I would quite careful if I were jwinslow/pj.
OK, I know that I am not allowed to use actual names and schools in case of identity theft, but we (me and JWinslow23) go to Frank Lloyd Wright, and we are two different students. I'm Phillip Bostic, and my friend is Josiah Winslow. Last I heard him talking to me personally about it, he was just browsing the site in general. When I replied to the posts, he told me about them personally (apparently right after posting). Ilari, if I knew what an IP was, I'd probably agree with you.

Who can make it through with the goal "cannonless capless coinless"? That means warpless, with 99 lives, and with as little coins as possible.
Bad idea. Terribly long, and to a newbie like me, the goal would be unclear.

I have an idea for a new form of TAS, where two TASers play a 2-player competitive game (say, a fighting game, or a racing game). The idea is that the game would be mediated by some sort of web service. Each player would submit their input to the web service, one frame at a time. Once a player has submitted (and committed to) a certain input for frame T, the other player's input for time T-6 would be revealed. You could take as long as you wanted to submit your input, and use whatever methods you wanted to come up with it. (For instance, you would probably want to guess what the other player will do, and run simulations as to how your strategy will work.) The only thing you can't do is change your input once you've committed to it. The main reason for the delay in the above description (where you get the other player's input after a 7 frame delay) is that it speeds up the process. For example, if the two players can't manage to be TASing at the same time, and want the maximum information available, then each TASer can provide 14 frames of input per session. (Player A will commit to inputs from T-7 to T+6; then player B will commit to inputs from T to T+13; then player A will commit from T+7 to T+20, etc.) With the minimum possible delay, where you see the other player's input for frame T as soon as you commit to frame T, then each player can only provide 2 frames of input per session. Does this sound like an interesting idea to anyone else?
Could anyone challenge me in this type of TAS? Anyone?

Earlier, I have not been able to log on to TASVideos. I have frequently gotten the message that I was banned from the forum when I went to the index (or any other part, for that matter.) I have also heard talk that a member was recently banned for excessive and unnecessary use of the spoiler tag. Was I experiencing his/her side effects, or is it some other reason that that happened? Also, the spoiler tag blocks out text, right?

The Sonic TAS is almost finished, and optimized to the fullest.
Just a rectification about the optimization. Because we can never really say about a run that it's optimized to the fullest ^^ And in this case, because of aaaallllll that lag, I'd say it's optimized to the best as we could do without becoming living bots. Give me just 5 hours for each series of jumps and actions and I'm sure I could gain some frames by randomly hitting buttons in a different and unintuitive order :P PJBostic: if it's your first time TASing or if you want to learn with this game... I'd say it's not a good choice (the return of "bad game choice", yay), except if you like headaches :D The thing is that lag gets in the way of everything in that game: you jump, it lags, you move, it lags, even if you don't move it can lag... It can be a nightmare at times. But if you are already familiar with TASing (tools, techniques and all that stuff), or still want to try this game for a first TAS, I'll say like Cooljay: feel free to ask for tips ;)
OK...maybe we DO have a problem, @Grincevent.

Lol, I appreciate the encouragement, but my project was started in summer, of last year. It won't be finished this season anyway.
I could not think of another rhyme for ALL, CoolKirby. (BTW, I think I'm TASing Sonic Triple Trouble for GameGear. Won't be done soon, however.)
