Thanks a bunch, I meant input files. ;) [Edit]: Aaw, seems like both Bisqwit's mirror, and your file's link are down. Any chance of getting them back, or should I start downloading one by one? *cries*

Is there a torrent file with all TAS-movies made from NES games? I understand maybe it's not up-to-date with all the newest improvements, but I don't really mind. Cheers.

How does one get this link to work?
Well I haven't seen the "video" that this link brings you to... But searching through this weird webpage design all in japanese for the "play" button made me laugh.

Is there still something preventing the use of okaygo's reset-recording version?

Joyeux Noël! (<-Merry christmas in french) In Quebec my favorite part of holidays is watching THE ONLY REAL CHRISTMAS MOVIE.... Damn movie is aired every single year and I just can't stop watching it... Christmas Vacation That quote is every year's highlight of my vacations... Todd: Hey Griswold. Where do you think you're gonna put a tree that big? Clark: Bend over and I'll show you. ... 40 minutes 'til christmas in Montreal! Happy holidays & best wishes to everyone, Toby.

@ AKA: Regarding upgrades... My point of view is that although the previous item might not appear in the item screen, fact is that is was collected at one point. Fairy ocarina counts as an item, even if in the item screen it is later replaced by the Ocarina of time. (In my opinion...) Same time regarding everything else in this game. Ex. doing the item-exchange sidequest by skipping cojiro (and whatever items usually before the odd mushroom) is a lower% than collecting all the items usually needed for that sidequest. Even if, in the end, you only have 1 item shown in inventory.

Ok now I'm beggining to worry... The route that I currently have skips the kokiri sword by taking deku sticks. This being a one-for-one item exchange has no effect on the ammount of items collected. However, although it would look a lot more surprising and badass to skip the sword, it also requires me to do many things that are really time consuming. Q1-Could the run be obsoleted later by a run collecting the same ammount of items but switching the deku stick for the sword, even if it was to be less "entertaining"? Also, I talk on chat earlier today with AKA, and started wondering if RBA was possible since I could use RBA to remove stuff from my inventory (or quest status screen, whathever) before killing ganondorf. My opinion is that Low% is aimed at collecting the lower ammount possible of items rather than aimed at how many items posessed at the end. And since RBA requires me to collect odd mushroom, odd potion, poacher's saw, broken sword, and extra bottles it wouldn't be a low% run. It would also mean that game allowing you to throw items away could never have low% run since you could just throw everything not required for the final fight and call it a low%. (Bisqwit also agreed that low% was aimed towards collection of items rather than how many items posessed at the end, although he also clearly stated that he did not create that category). Q2- So I'd like to know what does people think and also why they think so. (About the badass-run vs. longer-run and Items collected vs. Items posessed at the end)

First option looks faster but you might also want to try (if you have enough bombs/chus): Kakariko, superslide to kokiri, trade for saw, superslide to gerudo, megaflip across bridge. Might not be faster and might not even be able to megaflip far enough to cross the bridge. But hey, who knows...

IIRC you can use bombs when they're on "B button" in the temple. Can't remember how to put them on "B" tho. Actually, I didn't even remember that you couldn't normally use bombs/sword in the temple. So... I guess get the bombs on "B" and try megaflip... it gives you some height and speed. Or else... Euh... Don't know. Infinite sword glitch (and hovers by the same way) might be impossible in the temple. So megaflip might be the only option to gain enough speed.

Well I thought (and I think people will agree) that I will take a bottle instead of the fairy ocarina (thus not making the item count go up) and use the any-item-ocarina for the child portion. The bottle will also be useful for a couple of things I'm not gonna spoil right now. It will make the low% more different than the any% too. And it's actually faster to get the chicken bottle while in kakariko than watching the long-ass cut scene with saria crying out loud (i think). As for Ganondorf's fight, I will have the Master Sword which is unskippable (as of now anyways) I'll post the route I'm currently planning soon, right now it's handwritten notes on scattered pages around the floor.

Or you know they way they get into Volvagia's room skipping the boss key (Volvagia = fire temple). Bomb hovering so high above the door and then just falling into the load zone behind the door. I guess I'll link to a youtube video showing this when I'll come back home and have access to youtube,...just try with the levitate gameshark thingy see if you can go through the door/celing if you hover high enough. EDIT: Here's that youtube link... Click Here! Or as spiderwaffle mentionned. Megaflip blows you away really fast. Maybe done at the correct angle it lets you through the door of time.[/url]

3 questions: 1) How can I kill Bongo Bongo without the hookshot? I guess I could go get the bow before doing sadow temple and kill him with that, without adding another item since I should get the bow anyways. But is there a better way to do this? And 2)How many bombchus can I carry maximum? Is there a limit? Is that limit different from childhood to adulthood? 3) Best spots to get deku sticks other than near deku tree and/or shops? I'm at work. Again! On a saturday night. (>.<)

And if I could avoid the boulder area it'd be great.... cause going through that small gap is very long. So I'd vote for major manip. of rocks (can't cut bushes). And if it's not enough... sidehop all the bridge to get 5 more. Ok looks like I have to go in boulder area, since I can't get 8 rupees from rocks I believe. And can't slash grass. So... 1 from grass 7 from fences backflip 12 from boulder area 10 in mido's house (leaving one pot intact) 5 behind his house 5 on the bridge 5 jumping the river 5 in the shop =50 rupees. Sounds fast and good? I rather pick one from the grass and not have to break all pots in Mido's house, because picking/throwing pots is long as opposed to taking the first rupee in the grass. I'll be doing this after a good 5-6 hours sleep (starting now). G'night

For the ocarina: It will be skipped, I don't see any reasons not to, if you say there's a item-ocarina-glitch that can be used where I need to use it it's even better. I'm not familliar with this one so I'll work on it in an hour or so... For the sticks: Yes when broken in half I remember you can keep it for a while. I'll have to see to what extent this can be used... since always stopping to pick stick will get boring. I'll just need to check when is it wearing off or whatever. And thanks DK64 for putting the youtube descriptions :). I just can't wait to get home... STUPID NIGHTSHIFTS! I'll need to work out a rupee route to get 50 rupees without necessarily going in the "maze-with-a-huge-rolling-rock-defying-the-laws-of-gravity-and-momentum".

Days, hours, minutes and seconds are conception of man to keep track of it [time]. But "Time exist", you can see it. People die after a certain period [of time!]. Or wait is it just an illusion? As for god. If he [god] was to be a perfect being (or whatever you want to call it). He wouldn't have allowed wars and whatever kind of crap that happened/happens. I agree humans invented, weapons, property (which brought theft), etc. But if God would be perfect, he wouldn't have given the possibility to man's brain to think/invent of those (arguably bad) things. And it always bring the question of who created God? My guess? My parents did, 21 years ago.

Thank you DK64 :) So, now I guess... I get shield + deku stick (1) from shop. I leave forest early. Go to Hyrule Castle. (Get Zelda's lullaby + Letter.) Exit Castle (die/reset). Do deku tree (getting (3) more sticks on my way)(skipping slingshot) Leave forest normally (Sariah shouldn't be there)(Or the other way if she is.) Keep going... BotW, Dodongo, Jabu, etc. But in the zelda's cutscene Link shows her the 1st stone... doesn't it give it to him (in status screen) thus making the deku tree skippable? Maybe they tried it in the any% without getting zelda's lullaby, and it changes something if you get that particular song? Anyone knows or I'll try it later. Would be neat.

Youtube is blocked at work... So I'm in the process of converting the movies to avi with the URL... I'll edit this post with comments in a few minutes. Great site to convert youtube at workplace Edit: @Kirby: Only the first vid worked for me ATM. But how did you get behind Mido without the sword? Did Mido disappear because you went to get the lullaby, and those few extra things you had in your item screen before doing the Deku Tree. Because I checked this morning and simply exiting the forest and coming back right away will not make Mido disappear. But maybe getting a few things (Zelda's lullaby as an exemple) makes him go away!? And also I can't skip the fairy ocarina as a kid, because of BotW early that requires water to be lowered (right?). And if I do spirit early I would get 1 more songs. And the Fairy ocarina disapears from the item screen when I pick the Oot anyways.

I don't think bombs can be skipped, dodongo needs to be killed. And I must agree a run skipping the sword will be more entertaining/surprising. As for the slingshot, it's skipped. Edit: Bombs cans be skipped it seems http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_bO2F7fpSM Edit 2: Sword can not be skipped since Mido blocks me from going to the Deku tree, and I need the spiritual stone to trigger the OoT-in-the-moat cutscene. If anyone has any idea as to how the sword skip could be achieved, feel free. In the meantime I'll continue the test run with the sword and without deku sticks. Edit 3: I'll post something when I'll be out of the forest (fairy ocarina will be skipped as well)(thus magic meter will be taken as adult). Right now I beat Gohma slingshot-less-style and I'm in Lost woods. G2g to work, be back in the morning. (3:30am east. time)

Agreed. It would be gar more interesting to see a kid run without the kokiri sword. Plus, it would add some difference with the any%. So even if leaving forest early doesn't end up helpful I should use deku sticks and skip the sword. Does anyone see problems to only use deku sticks at some point in the kid run? You can bomb hover with infinite deku stick. I'll just need to collect sticks more often. (Ex. need 3 only for gohma) And I seem to have problems with the vine glitch... is there anything I should align with while jumping/breaking the web?
