No tingle tuner isn't the reason why no one's working on the TWW TAS. No one's working on it because it will be incredibly long and simultaneously incredibly difficult to optimized (even without superswims moving is complicated)

AnS: Would you still argue the same way if both the register state in adelikat's movie and the register state that was previously used in Cheetahmen II TASes were physically equally likely to be taken upon power on of the cart? e.g. if a TAS that starts from stage 1 is powered on and the cart decides to start from stage 5 instead, now that TAS is broken, so shouldn't that TAS need the same trick of restarting until it is a correct register state?

AnS: I am sure this is some kind of logical fallacy. 'Movie X can be simulated by starting from a savestate, starting from a savestate for no good reason is banned, therefore movie X should be banned.' It's like saying 'The state of peace in our nation can be simulated by a police state, police states are bad, therefore this peace is bad.'. Is there a name for this fallacy?

Is there a full list of all known glitches in sonic heroes along with whether they're TAS only or not? Sonic Heroes tricks is something I don't understand well and I'd love to familiarize myself.

Can Bizhawk be made smart enough to know whether to use it or not? e.g. check number of cores on user's CPU, if it's greater than 3 turn ring buffer I/O on else turn it off, and if the user has changed it personally respect their choice.

Have you tried: Open Broadcasting Software xsplit Camtasia Camstudio Fraps If you still can't get anything to work, what OS, video card and video driver + version are you using?

http://www.twitch.tv/cosmowright/b/433989563 It looks like cosmo found x, y and z addresses and some other stuff, maybe you could use that to help you find speed (keep in mind it might be x vel + y vel + z vel, or it might be y vel + horizontal vel + angle it's in, or maybe something else I haven't thought of)

If it's basically impossible for you to TAS (with current emulator capabilities) if the camera is screwed up, then TAS it in the way that maintains your sanity and note it in potential improvements for the next run. It'll be a sick TAS anyway due to tower of sorcery/clock room OoB/etc so I wouldn't fret over it ;)

Would a speedrun or score run be more likely to be accepted to tasvideos? (There is precedent for score runs, see N64 Wetrix)

Link to video Really speaks for itself ;) An unassuming 'Minish Cap-like' contains a dastardly game destroying glitch within. It may be possible to do this glitch around lillipads in water too. It was seen on stream once by I think hiipfire but he coudn't figure out how to reproduce it.

What state the RAM is in on starting up the NES isn't 'starting from a savestate'. TASes already start from an arbitrarily chosen with no physical meaning RAM state (the pattern 0000FFFF0000FFFF...) that could potentially be beneficial some games, such as Wheel of Fortune, read from RAM before initializing it to a known state, and so the initial RAM state could lead to a faster or slower fastest possible TAS). All adelikat is saying 'If this arbitrarily chosen with no physical meaning initial state is OK, I should be able to pick the state that leads to the fastest TAS'. If you question if adelikat's chosen state is possible to start on, question if 0000FFFF0000FFFF... is possible to start on - then every NES TAS on the site is in danger of rejection!

Seems to be TASable now, saw this on nicovideo. Link to video Unlike 1 and 2, in this game you tilt the world by tilting your wii controller instead of using a c-stick, and you can jump using the A button. Also, the characters have differences in puzzle stages.
