Since when did 'not enough frames were saved' become a reason to reject?

Wow, you tore the game apart! I especially love the way Tony Hawk could climb up walls and land on the tops of them. Yes!

Anyway, i noticed you use the "skip character" button a lot in battle, is this to prevent the enemy from attacking?
RNG manipulation. It has to check if you get limit break access this time or not, so one RNG advancement

I don't know exactly why, but I somehow don't like the idea of a TAS of this game that abuses bugs (at least memory corruption bugs), as those bugs may well be fixed in a future release. I like ais523's principle of not abusing the bug in the future run.
Nethack hasn't been updated for years and years and years. It's safe to say any bugs in it are going to stay with it, except in fan made patches/mods. Besides, an update is going to do more than just fix glitches - you'll have to remake the run regardless.

If he prolonged SMB1, the run would finish later since he'd have to structure more of his input around doing more SMB1 too. So it's not happening.

It's interesting how some runs get VERY far before desyncing (like Mega Man 6 and Punch Out) while others desync immediately. Obviously something very very subtle is off.

I'm not fond of that screenshot, since it's not good at showing off the game.

Well done! Wonderful job! I thought the record of 11:00.65 on nicovideo was fast enough, but this proved me wrong. I love it, voting YES! Edit: Still, I'm waiting for a downloadable encode. Or, if anyone would like to teach me to use lua to show key-input, I'd like to make an encode myself.
Yeah, I think a controller in the center is a must for this kind of movie.

I suppose the game has been programmed so that even though everything is randomly generated, it's not possible to get the Amulet of Yendor on the first level?
It's highly random, but not to that extent.
The amulet is possessed by the high priest of Moloch at the bottom of Gehennom. To reach it, however, the player needs several other items, known as the invocation artifacts. They are the Book of the Dead, Candelabrum of Invocation and the Bell of Opening.
It makes me wonder - can any roguelikes be won on the first turn? How about in the first 100 turns? (Let's say not counting mystery dungeon-alikes.)

Nice In super mario bros 2, how come you don't take the shortcut to the left at 6:17, like in the current TAS? I was impressed by how close together three of the games finished. You clearly put some thought into that aspect. :D

This also gave me a nifty April Fool's idea too late: just have a movie enable Sound Test and play around with some jams. (I know that, for instance, you can do this with Kirby's Dream Land.)
Can you do it anyway? :D

Unfortunately pretty much every rhythm game you can play on an emulated console can't be done better in a TAS than someone irl somewhere can. Even in ITG pretty much everything is 100% now and even Vertex^2 Expert has been 99%'d.

You have to admit, the first 30 seconds are the best part of the TAS. ;D I enjoyed seeing him get chipped down like that. The unfortunate thing about a TAS like this is that without a failure reel you don't get a sense of how hard what you'be done is. Yes anyway

Are you sure boss 4 couldn't have been sped up with a mix of scepter hits and thrown items? It's the longest part of the run for seemingly no reason. Everything else is great though

I love it when someone optimizes the hell out of the TAS, then don't know they can fast forward through cutscenes or something similarly trivial. :D

Skies of Arcadia: Legends. That way you'll have the longest TAS ever, just like the speedrun is the longest speedrun ever on SDA.
