Oh, I was thinking "Chest" would be too repetitive due to the need to grind out the unlocks, but if you think it'll be interesting I'm curious.

Excellent TAS-only destruction of this game. Would you consider TASing "Platnium God, Chest" too?

There are also more and harder enemies, and shorter level timers (though those should be pretty negligible in a TAS)

I wonder how hard it would be to patch Mario 4 to make the boss fight accessible.

Nice, I was hoping to see this improvement done once I heard about the Chauncey 1-cycle! The PAL alternate route is fascinating, too.

A few questions about category choice: It looks like there are three difficulty levels and 5 missions. Are any of the other possible choices interesting or is this the best it gets? It looks like there's an opportunity to get a better ending, judging by the 2 rescuers that die and the bad ending in the final results screen. Is it possible, and is it interesting?

There exist some games for the PC that are playable by blind people, and thus only use audio as output (or text a screen reader can read). For example: https://www.reddit.com/r/roguelikes/comments/4zjg48/broguespeak/ http://www.blind-games.com/entombed.aspx https://coolblindtech.com/out-of-sight-games-fantasy-rpg-for-blind-and-sighted-gamers/ https://www.fallingsquirrel.com/the-vale So it might work to say 'A video game emits sensory data in linear fashion over time in response to the player's input' or something

The epitome of the lazy TAS. Presses 19 buttons, kills the boss, puts the controller down, immediately crashes, refuses to elaborate. Entertaining in its minimalism.

The Sticky movement is hilarious. Late content for speedy TAS of the year! What happened at 1:09 where you transition left and end up on the left side of a room, pick up a powerup then leave instantly?

One question: If you optimized for this game's buggy implementation of the... 'Yathzee' rules instead of the normal Yahtzee rules, could you get a higher score, or are the two strategies the same?

'Usually, you are restricted to the game window pull the launcher band down to launch the hedgehog, but with the libTAS input editor, you can set it to any coordinate value. In this case, I set the value up to the max mouse y value of 99999999 and lowest x mouse value of -99999999 (don't know if that's exactly how many nines there are but basically there's a lot of nines).' I think this is worth discussing - is it possible to do this RTA? Is it a valid kind of 'input'? I know that with consoles we allow things like U+D, 30Hz mashing, the unused 15th and 16th button on the SNES controller, etc. because the console will physically accept these and it's possible to craft or use a peripheral that will send these signals. But in the context of a video game running on a computer, the context is less clear - is it a valid input if the computer can send it to the game, or does there need to be a way for hardware to send the input to the computer that the computer would pass on first?

It's superficially like Reversi, but I wouldn't call it a clone/knockoff of Reversi: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ataxx The concept was invented earlier by Dave Crummack and Craig Galley for the unreleased 1988 video game Infection. Virgin Mastertronic licensed it to Leland as well as using the design in its own Spot: The Video Game released the same year as Ataxx.

Groundbreaking! I wasn't sure this would be maxed out in my lifetime. Nice collaboration. EDIT:

Probably lots of game-end-glitch/crash type stuff. Isn't there some glitchy warp stuff in Battletoads that isn't fully maxed out, or did it all get figured out by now?

Might be worth including in the notes what the differences are between training vs no training (in case anyone ever looks at this again??)

I'm loving this, LOL. Keep it up! Maybe there's a funny edge case when every judge has co-authored a TAS and we enter Sudden Death Mode.
