Have you ever made lyrics to game music? No, in fact that's one quality of VG music that I like: it's lyricless.
That's something I like about it too, but you have to admit that it's more than tempting to make some.

Okay, so the last line of each verse is sung a little differently than the actual song. I always sang it like this, so I didn't know it was wrong. Try your best to figure out how I sing it. I always liked to think Imakuni is a pompous git, so that's how I made him in the song. Several lines in this are quotes from the actual game, like super musical star, that's pretty cool, I should be a poet, you won't duel me? don't be so cruel, let's sing the pokerap, and so on. Sung to Imakuni’s Theme from Pokemon Trading Card Game Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) I’m Imakuni, Don’t you think I’m the hippest guy in town? (Imakuni) I’m Imakuni, Let’s sing the Pokerap, come on get down! (Imakuni) People think I’m strange, They all like to say I dress like a clown, (Imakuni) Take a second look, You’ll find that I’m the coolest guy around!, (Imakuni) Take a look at me, I am just the best, Don’t make fun of me, or my awesome vest, I, am, so, great, and you are a pest. Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) When you duel me, You are going to get beaten and bruised, (Imakuni) Just to make things fair, I will make my own Pokemon confused! (Imakuni) I win duels so fast, I’ve got cards in my deck I’ve never used, (Imakuni) And when I beat you, I will make you dance to keep me amused! (Imakuni) Just like a springs wind, you’re gonna blow it, Hey that’s pretty cool, I’ll be a poet, You’re, going, to, lose and you know it, Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Don’t Know who I am? The planet you’re from must be pretty far, (Imakuni) I’m Imakuni, The number one super musical star! (Imakuni) I’ve seen how you dance, Let me tell you that it’s pretty bizarre, (Imakuni) Practice for ten years, And you might just make it up to sub-par! (Imakuni) You won’t duel me? Hey don’t be so cruel, Though I understand, cause I’ll overrule, You, think, you’ll, win, don’t be such a fool, Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii) Imakuni (I - I) Imakuni (niiii)

I thought it was really cool the first time I saw it on April Fools day, but whenever I watch something I thought was cool with my brother, he always finds a way to make it seem silly. What is it with people that are so desperate to see a Zelda movie or anime? If they are going to make a Zelda movie or anime, it would probably be on some year anniversary. The Kirby anime was made near the 10th anniversary of Kirby's Dream Land, so one could assume the Zelda movie or anime will be made near the next big round number anniversary too. If anything Zelda should be made Movie wise, it would probably be based on Ocarina of Time. If an anime was made, I think the best choice would be Majora's Mask since there are a lot of side stories in that game that can make for episodes.

I've started doing that too. It's annoying to have to say "My name is VBKirby on GBAtemp" Or "My name is Ratbert on Download anime" It's Pekopon wherever I go now. I use the same avatar too. It's a good sign to tell who I am since I'm the only one who has this precise picture. It's scanned in from one of my Kirby 64 manga.

Wow! You've done a lot! I have lyrics to the Imakuni theme from Pokemon Trading Card Game, but I haven't typed them up yet. It's really awesome if you ask me. Oh, and if you liked the Penelope song, you may be interested in the visuals I'm working on for the song. You can see bits and pieces of my progress here. http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=89064 My name is VBKirby there. I try to use the same avatar everywhere to avoid confusion.

Mine was from watching too much Keroro Gunsou. Keroro and the other frogs called Earth "Pekopon". I used that. The Tokyopop manga spells it as pokopen though. The other name I used on other forums was VBKirby. This was for the very first forum I joined on vr32.de, The Virtual Boy site. I combined the Virtual Boy and Kirby to make VBKirby. This was the avatar I made and used on that site.

I made this while on the ferry on my trip yesterday. It's fun to write lyrics seriously. Yoshi's Cookie SNES VS mode Music A Yoshi’s Cookie is a really fun game, In which you have to line up all those cookies, In a straight line, Horizontally or vertically, (or, vertically) Line up like cookies, To make them disappear, So you can clear the stage, (you cleared the stage) Checkerboards, circles, and diamond cookies, And occasionally a Yoshi cookie, When you line up, Enough of the same type of a cookie, (same, type of cookie) Yoshi cookies, Act as a wild card so, Be sure to use them well, Don’t, let those cookies, Reach the top or it, Is game over, for you, so, When, things get too fast, Try not to panic, Just use those Yoshi cookies! (verse 2) Scrambling up the opponent’s cookies, And covering up, the opponent’s play field, In two player, In the two player version of the game, (two, player version) It can get frustrating, But that is how things, Go in Yoshi’s Cookie (Yoshi’s Cookie) Ten levels in the game each with ten rounds, With each one getting increasingly harder, By speeding up, And adding more cookies to the play field, (more, to the play field) If you should lose, don’t get upset about it, cheer up and try again, Things, can get hectic, When you can’t find the, Type of cookie, you need, so When, things get too fast, Try not to panic, Just use those Yoshi cookies!

During my brother and I's years of playing video games, we sometimes ended up making really stupid lyrics to video game music just because we heard it a lot. I was wondering if anybody here has done this? Here are some that we've created over the years. Kirby's Adventure: Nightmare's Theme "Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suit oooooon, Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suuuuit Fighting Dracula in outer space without a space suit oooooon, Fighting Dracula in outer space without a spaaaace suuuuit on! Fighting Dracula, in outer space, without a space suit on, fighting Dracula, Fighting Dracula, in outer space, without a space suit on, yes indeed we are fighting Dracula (Repeat) Donkey Kong Country mini game Victory song: "The Burger King's Kids Club is really really good, It's really really really really really really good!" Final Fantasy Victory theme: Tupilidee, I claim victory! (sometimes we have to make words up) Final Fantasy theme 2 Tupilidee, walk across the screen! (In a final Fantasy where they walked across the screen after a fight) Second part of Keapora's theme in Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid retarded owl talking too much, "This is the song of the stupid Fu**ing owl talking waaay too muuuch Elegy of Emptiness (Majora's Mask) "Theeeee song of wasting moooore tiiiime" Cloudy Park Stage 2 (Kirby's Dream Land 3) (I wrote this whole song) "Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park, yes it's cloudy in the cloudy park because there are a lot, of clouds. Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park, yes it's cloudy in the cloudy park because there are a whole lot, of clouds. Here we are we are standiiiing inside of a cloudy paaark, there are a lot of clouds heeere, therefore it's a cloudy paaark, We like to call it cloudyyy park cause there's lots of clouuuds, Here we are we're standing in a very cloudy park!" (repeat) Yup, pretty dumb stuff. But this stuff just comes up when you play a game too much. [EDIT by Bisqwit: This is clearly Off-topic material, so I'm moving it out from the General forum.]

Okay. I finally got Level 1 finished for the 5th time or something. From the beginning of the movie to the end of level 1, I saved a whopping 952 frames! The way I did it? I found a way to skip the intro level, I found new invisible platforms for a bigger shortcut, and I found a way to make the first crane come back faster. Some other little optimizations too. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/239863625/Copy%20of%20Version%201.4%20Lady%20Sia%20%28U%29%20%28M6%29%20%5B%21%5D.vbm I'll have a youtube link soon. I've asked about Golden Sun runs before, and the general consensus is that it's fun to play, but not fun to watch. There probably won't be any Golden Sun runs unless something big is discovered.

By "drags on" do you mean it's not fun after a while? Cause I know what you mean there. Certain games become more of a chore to play than something to play to have fun. (Horribly structured sentence. I'm not good at that.)

Yeah... Scurge:Hive would be cool. People should stop wasting time with Lady Sia or Spider Man 3 and do it. And there is that nice glithed wall where you can warp around and glitch the thing up. It's halfway into the game, but it still has potential.
Well what are you working on right now? Maybe you should do it if you want it so bad. That's the approach I took with Kirby's Dream Land 3 (though the desyncs made me quit half way into the game) People TAS the games they're interested in. Not what other people ask for.

Obvious yes vote. Loved it very much. I had made a TAS of the boss battles, but it's garbage compared to your fights. Your fights were way better.

Runs that do that sort of thing are great. Something that would normally be completely impossible to do like using Missile Ability as a form of transportation in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror. (try it sometime, you'll fall down many pits after blowing up) I've never played Pugsley's Scavenger Hunt, but I did play Fester's Quest for the NES. Maybe I'll try Pugsley sometime.

I made a TAS of Bomb Rally from Kirby Nightmare in Dream Land. This sort of varies from the standard TAS since I tried to make the rally last as long as possible rather than end it quickly. It's much cooler that way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1q2gbgL_iI

Oh. I don't remember that. Sorry. Like I said though, Drill Dozer is too hard for me. I'm just looking for tricks. I recently discovered how to kill the mecha crab in two hits. Can you get as far as the barrel mini-game in Mario and Luigi? That's a mini game I really want to TAS for fun.

So this may be a limited topic, but I was wondering for those who have made TASes, what is the one you made that you like the best? I've only actually gotten my Looney Tunes Run published, but I made several mini game TASes for the Mini game TAS thread. The TAS I made that I like the best is my Pikachu's Beach TAS from Pokemon Yellow. Ever since I put it on youtube, I've been watching it on a loop. Check it out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HcVSHhZA8NE So even if it's something you didn't finish, if you liked it the best, mention it.

I think that was the funnest mario world TAS I've seen. Are there any other movies that have the secret input dancing? It's too bad that gets lost in the AVI. Yes Vote for fun improvement.

HA! I finally discovered how I killed the mecha crab in 2-2 in two shots! If you just drill like crazy, killing this guy takes 3 shots minimum. However, on your first hit, after you shift into third gear, jam your drill in reverse right before he pulls his head up. This will cause a massave amount of extra damage, making it possible to kill him in the next hit. The amount of damage he takes seems to involve where you drill him, and when you shift your gear. It might be possible to knock him out in one shot since you can come SO CLOSE to doing it. But to find the exact right frame work could take a long time, even if it is possible. Here's the video. You might want to watch it with input display on. http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/464303895/Copy%20of%20crab%20fight2308%20-%20Drill%20Dozer%20%28U%29.vbm Maybe this tactic could work on other enemies too?

There's no way I'm gonna play Pokemon Pinball. I banned myself from playing it since it literally drove me insane. I smashed the my Pokemon Pinball cartridge to bits with a hammer. (granted those were the worst years of my touretts syndrome rages. They're under control now) However I did make a Diglett Stage TAS for the mini-game thread. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2pW36o-bO5E
