Good news. I always wondered, is this level handled like 4 indipendent levels or just one really big one? When you talked about the RNG this thought came back to my mind

I have absolutely no idea whats going on. What was the relevant part in the video which wasnt possible before? Is it limited to the Ice Cavern?

Is OoT TASing dead? Someone hasn't posted in about 10 minutes. I know this topic is 10 years old, but this is serious.
Ignoring my own posts and peoples responses to them, then the last post in this thread when I asked was the 13th of July, which is nearly half a year ago. But if u think my concerns are unwarranted that's fine
Dude... not even three months is not "nearly half a year"

(3) Fixed graphical spiking - This doesn't have to be 100% fixed, but with the version of Bizhawk I use it can get really bad in certain areas ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jLdZZn19uVw for example ). This isn't an absolutely essential fix, but it is extremely distracting sometimes, especially with Tiny. It invites the viewer to question the validity of the run and distracts the knowledgeable viewer from what is going on. If graphical spiking was just one or two frames every 30 seconds that would be acceptable, but in a lot of areas there are more spiked frames than unspiked frames. Apparently some emulators are better than Bizhawk in this regard, but I have't verified this myself.
I always thought this was a videoplugin problem, isn't it?

Dide he use an invincibility cheat on the Seph battle? Or is it some kind of glitch/emulation error?

What about a small only run, would the cloud be allowed?

Why does the PS2 sample linked above feel so much faster, because of those crazy dashes you mentioned? Oh and is there no music or did you switch it off on purpose because of copyright issues (had to use a proxy to watch the ps2 TAS, youtube wouldnt let me otherwise)?

(REALLY far fetched) What about programming a simple RNG using arbitrary code execution with just two options: Say option a teleports you to place a in the game, option b to place b. The input after the code execution manages to finish both scenarios. Is this feasible or would the movie file always determine which side the RNG choses?

This was incredibly awesome! It reminded me of the first SM64 TAS which lead me to this site and I rarely feel that astonished again watching other TASes. I can't wait for the finished project. Keep up the good work :)

Notice that the definition leaves room for skipping whichever heartpiece is most convinient to the runner. Since there are 37 obtainable heart pieces and only 36 are required to fullfill 100%
Im sorry, but skipping an official heart piece for getting a glitched one does not feel like 100% at all. By this logic you should be allowed to glitch all the skulltulas, as long as you get 100 of them.

If we would start duping hearts I guess we would have to start duping Skulltulas since you can get 255 of them. And oh lord would that be boring to watch. Why dont we just stay inside the boundaries the game originaly gave us?

Awesome, looks really entertainig even to someone who has never played the game. One thing: Can you explain how you did get out of bounds, like at around 54:00? And how much time do you safe/what does it skip?

I dont know what makes everybody think that this will actually happen? Im sorry if I missed something here but the last thing I heard about PJ64 is that one of the developers claims most of the sourcecode for himself and that its very unlikely that it will ever get released to the public. In my eyes they are money-griefing pieces of **** that havent released an update to the general public in ages and dont plan on doing so in the future. The open source issue with PJ64 has been going on for so long I really cant see the change coming. Correct me if Im wrong though.

Is this run comparable to a real whole game 100% TAS? Would all of the items, like the fairy mask or the hookshot, be available at this point?
