Ive never played this game but its overworld system reminds me of DK64. So what actually prevents you to get to Grunties door earlier or why are the 69 Jiggies needed? Is your way blocked by the same kinda doors you showed you are able to skip? If so, what really prevents you e.g. how many doors prevent you?

I am not 100% sure either I just thought, since you are covering the basics of 3D TASing, your not unveiling seccret new techniques but more tips for beginners unfamiliar with the whole concept of making their own TASes

I think this would be better in the newbie corner, sounds like a good advice for people who are complety new to TASing or speedrunning. Then again I think the guides on the main site tell you basically anything you need to know. But thanks for the input if I might say so! On a unrelated note: What TASes were you speaking of that suffered such a high level of unoptimization? Just wondering

HEY LETS ALL SAY WE IGNORE SPIDERWAFFLE BUT STILL BRING HIM UP NOW AND THEN TO REMEMBER EVERYONE HOW STUPID HE IS LOL. But seriously, I have no problem with SW so I don't really care. But if you guys do, stop bringing this topic up all the time. Makes you look quite douchy.

So correct me if Im wrong: Was the only advantage of the Tingle Tuner so that you could get out of a Zombie Hover? And does the new FW-less storage method mean we can get out of any zombie hover, even without the tuner (as described here)?

http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=25274&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=120 It seems like savestates made some progress in DosBox by now. I have absolutly no idea about programming though so I dont know if this means good news for the TAS community. Maybe somebody with more experience might check this out.

After seeing the recent development in the fields of OoT, might there be a possibility for wrong warping in MM? I can understand that you cant use Ocarina items in MM but maybe there is some other way?

Does the frame perfection have to do with the timing or the position he is at?

This is so incredible what happened to this game in all these years. I was new to the whole Speedrunning community when this happened and was considered groundbreaking. 7 years later and we just need 20 minutes to beat this game. Simply amazing what you guys did, keep up the excellent work!

So this may be awfully stupid but wasnt there a pool of water in hyrule castle? Have superswims been ruled out for possible barrier skips?

Ok lets stay calm here... 1. Link spazzes in the water 2. Link ejects at high velocity into the ocean 3. Link enters a submarine in the middle of the sea 4. Link gets caught 5. Link is teleported to Forsaken Fortress dungeon ... wat

@Everyone else How is it that when you tell the truth it's insulting? His ideas are stupid, moronic even.
Thats the whole point. Even if somebody has ideas that are unfeasible because he lacks the knowledge and would like to see some proof, depsite hearing "Its not possible, go away" all the time, you have no right to call his ideas stupid or moronic. Thats just ignorant and shows quite a lack of manners.

Slowking is a talented TASer(...)
I have yet to see this. Im with Spider Waffle here. Slowkings attitude is just not right. This is not the first time I notice him flouting people who have not the knowledge he has. I remember his claims that a Wind Waker TAS would just be impossible whilst it is being worked on right now (and don't get me started on the whole J ROM debate. It doesnt matter what side youre on as long as you calmly present your opinions in a respectful order, which he rarely did). I dont want to get in the Zelda Pros faces. Mr. Grunz for example has a real nice attitude while dealing with people who talk about impossible suggestions. This is not a problem with the ZSR community. This is just a problem with Slowking I have been noticing and Im sure Im not alone with that opinion. He really isnt helping thje progress for any run around here, as far I know. If, however, Im wrong about that and people can show me exactly WHY I#m wrong I would be glad if you could point me in the right direction.

I found VLC 2.0 RC1 http://downloads.videolan.org/pub/videolan/testing/vlc-2.0.0-rc1/win32/vlc-2.0.0-rc1-win32.exe The second WIP file plays in the new VLC, but at 5:00 the video freezes. I have no speakers at the moment to test the audio, but I can assume it is still going. That aside, awesome run so far.
Thank you, that helped a lot. Im on Mac OS X and it stopped playing at 5 min for me as well. The sound goes on for a bit but judgjing from what I hear he is just standing where he left the eye pyramid, so no input missed.

I changed my mind after writing the post. The save glitch is used.
I would love to see the encode but I was not able to play that movie back. I only get sound and a green image
