You're not arguing. You're just saying stuff without proof and want everybody who says something different to test it themself. You're just talking down anybody who shows interests in this topic and you're definetly not contributing to the discussion.

All Windows movies are "console-verified" by default, as they require the original executables and assets running in their native environment.
So I guess it should be added to the publication, shouldn't it?

Since the movie is actually done on its original system, shouldn't it be tagged as "Console-verified"? I know, the term console is completely out of place here but technically speaking it seems right to me.

Responding to Shadow first. Now you are just being childlish by copying my post and turning the arguments around. Which does not work because this site is made for the runs, not the other way arround. So the runs are an attempt at getting the fastest time possible. And this site aims to publish these runs. But in this case the rules are in the way. I suspect you are just trolling at this point, since this should be pretty clear by now.

I don't really care about the text in OoT since - as most of the viewers on TASVideos - I am quite familiar with the storyline, gameplay, etc. But I think its very preposterous to make an exception for one game yet refuse it for another.

Exactly. You cant just make exceptions for certain games that would make it completle unfair for other TASers who have to use the U version. I cant even watch a TAS of a J RPG because I have absolutly no idea whats going on.

the rule is stupid. Just change it allready
There are people on this site who do not only watch OoT TASes like you. So this rule keeps the entertaining factor up for games which still have a story to follow.

AFAIK BT is not runnable. They somehow fixed it in mupen64+ (I guess) and since this one doesnt have RR-support its pretty useless for us

Sadly, the game does not work in mupen/mupen+. So well have to wait for mupen+ to get re-recording support AND support for this game.

We sure are, but it would still require at least a few frames to actually enter the code. So it would be impossible to reproduce on a "clean" system

I loved the way he used the dodo in "Bait" and "Espresso-2-Go". Impressive flying.

This question is so simple that I was tempted to post a lmgtfy link, but I will actually answer your question with a link to one of the best written guides I know: http://segaretro.org/IPS.
Nah, its not a IPS patch, it's a PPF patch made mostly for PSX isos. You have to google for PPF-O-Matic and the SM64 Rom Extender to extend your (U) rom.

I've found this test run on nico video. Its scary how many results you already get if you just search for 'hourglass'.

Am I in court all of a sudden? Since when do I have to proof things on the internet?
Loved that sentence. I should have stopped reading right there. But it doesn't matter anyways: You just made yourself look like a giant dick and since you think you dont have to prove shit just because you are on the internet I guess we never have to listen to a goddamn thing you say again. Fine with me.

Wouldnt it be possible with Hourglass to watch a replay of a bug bounce in frame advance while using some memory watching software to understand these better?

Its been years since I left the community. Funny its still around. Well if I remember correctly, there was a big discussion about a world record for "Enigma" (dont know if its still the current one, been ages since I was on the moposite) if it uses a legit bounce, cause the one used by the player gave him susoicious height. But it got acceoted after all. My point is, we shouldnt take over the rules of the moposite. SDA once didnt allow out of bound glitches or unexplained warps, while they are more then okay for TASvideos. I think we should push the game to its limits and use all the bugs we can, maybe with TASing tools we could even find new ones. A current world record broken with a bug bounce in a level you wouldnt expect it, man that would blew me away. Also I guess it would be clearer to the elma community, that we do not want to compete with them in any way if we play by our rules. I would also reccomend the use of the official version, since hib's patch (or mila's nowadays) would count as a hack kinda. I dont know if there would be synching problems either, if someone used another config in the second exe file. Also by this we would stay true to the game. If it comes to ingame technics I would have to pass. My best time in the whole game was a 14.20 in Warm Up ;__; Anyways I would love to see this game taken apart. As I said, I left long ago but I still look for ElMa vids on youtube and sniff through mopolauta once every half year or so.

The levels look the same but they are not. In the second video you only needed 93% of all the lemmings while you needed all 100% in the other one. IIRC there are a few more levels which differ just by the number of lemmings to be saved

Followed all of your wips and Im looking forward to a final encode so I can vote. Also: Are Dolphin movies open for submission now? I thought the emulator wasnt finished for TASing yet (I mean reliable enough to allow it on this site)

So is a better to use mouse input in the works? Or is there already an easier way than using the navigation shortcuts? They are not very precise
