I just switched to an old revision of Dolphin and I'm having memory card problems. I always get the message that the device in slot A is not a memory card and I don't know how to solve it. Has anyone had this same problem? I'm using R7261.

I'm using r7511, so I guess not. Do you know if this causes any sort of synching problems at all?

I just recorded something (idle skipping and dual core off) and played it back in Dolphin and there was no desynch. I played it again with no changes and it desynched. I tried closing Dolphin and opening it again to play the recording with the same settings, but it still desynched. I tried different combinations of idle skipping and dual core, but I seem to get a desynch if either of them is on. If I turn both off, then most of the time it desynchs and sometimes it doesn't. I just don't understand this at all. EDIT: Also I can't use LLE, because I just get an error that tells me I have to use HLE. I'm not dumping audio though if that matters. Another problem is that when I frame advance, a ton of frames get skipped. For example I could be on frame 100, frame advance and it'll stay on 100, then frame advance again and it'll jump to 102. It happens all the time and I'm not sure if that's somehow causing desynch issues too.

I can't find Dump Video, I've been using Dump Frames instead. Is that the same thing? I loaded by using Start Recording, but then as soon as I load a save-state, the recording ends. I opened the ISO normally, loaded my state and tried recording then, but if I try to play back the recording, Dolphin crashes. Also whenever I export I make a .DTM and then when I close I have to make another .DTM. Idk if I need both, but I tried with both and they always get the same problem as the other.

Thanks, got that working too. I created a .dtm by exporting the recording. Do I need to play this back in Dolphin and record the .avi of that? If so, how do I play it back in Dolphin?

Ah, I changed the controls and now it's working fine, thanks. I have one last question though. Does anyone know how to turn the frame count on? Idk if it's called frame count or not, but basically so Dolphin says which frame it's currently on.

Okay, thanks for the help. I'm also finding that the video shows all my rerecording. Is that normal and I should just edit the video, or is there a way to avoid it?

I'm using R7511. So you're saying I should use an earlier version? Is there a way to alternate between frame advance mode and normal mode?

What do you mean what revision am I using? Thanks, I'll download virtualdub now. What switches the frame advance mode and how do I know whether I'm in frame advance mode or not? Thanks for the help with the sound.

I'm having some trouble with Dolphin and I was hoping that somebody might be able to help me with them. The first problem I'm having is that sometimes I can't use any hotkeys and it seems the only way to fix it is to click off the window, then try again, but after about 5 seconds it'll do it again and I'll have to click off the window again. Another problem I'm having is when I record something, according to the guide I used, the video should run at usual speed, but it runs way faster and also there's no sound. How do I change this? Also, I'm trying to figure out TASing and I can't seem to get the Frame Advance to work. I assumed I'd pause the game, hold the inputs I want and hit frame advance, but it doesn't work, so I must be wrong about that. If anyone can help me with any of these problems, I'd appreciate it.

Recording from the start seems to have solved the problem. Thanks for the help. I was doing a couple of the things you said not to do, so that'll be helpful in the future :)

I got Mupen64 yesterday and TASd the first room of Turok 2 as a test, but what happens is strange. Basically when I play back what I recorded, it acknowledges all my input, but does it in the wrong part of the game. For example, I went straight to the first room of the game and choose "record from screenshot" and while I'm actually playing, it looks like it's working fine, but when I played it back, the rom reset itself and gave all the correct input, but on the opening menu of the game. I hope I explained that well enough. Does anyone know what is happening?

The version I have doesn't have a config tab. I'm on v1.51. EDIT: Nevermind I fixed it. Thanks for the help though. I appreciate it :)

I was following a TAS guide and everything worked out ok, but for some reason when I played back my movie, it was all in fast motion. Now whenever I open a ROM it automatically runs at the same speed. What can I do to put it back to normal speed?
