My precedent message wasn't meant to be offensive but suggestive. Otherwise, it's pretty damn cool you are adding features. We were thinking of doing SCV4 with your final version. Also, it needs a reliable Linux port.

Yes, that would be cool. I am already working on some games but maybe later. Making this run under 2:30 won't be easy. I think the solution would be to find a useful bug. I found some bugs but they didn't look useful. I did made a movie of them. In future, when my site will be set-up, I will put all the bugs that I found plus those already known ones. If I work with Randil, I doubt it will be that game.

Did you happen to work several hours trying to save 3-4 frames and succeeded but later you lose them because of some FUCKING ASSHOLE BULLSHIT OF SON OF A BITCH frames rule? It just happen to me. Ça fait chier en crisssss.

I don't understand. So you're saying that left+right work!!? I did tried with Luigi yesterday but it didn't work. So I thought I misunderstood but it may be a Mario only bug as its engine different than Luigi.

In this video, in 5-1, Mario takes a pipe that warps him to 4-2.
There is no warp from 5-1 that leads to 4-2 in this video. It is so obvious... There is not even screen transition. The guy edited his video to show people where are the warps. So at 5-1, he dies not warp, roflmao, then he cut-off the video and put his 4-2 video.

What? I thought that it caused the 4-2 warpzone to appear in the 1-2 warpzone.
Well, you can. The warpzone that leads to 5-1 is possible in 1-2.

That game doesn't work well in Snes9x 1.43 but works well in most recent emulators. Anyway, in both cases, no TASing is possible.

Instead of hacking furthermore a SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOLD version of Snes9x, it will be better to fix the desync issue in 1.51 or help the snes9x team to work on their 1.52 version. Edit: Or at least, work on 1.50. The thing about 1.51 is that saving a state doesn't save everything. If someone work hard on savestates feature, he may find the solution. And better, we are 90% sure it's related to sound.

Nestopia fully work under Linux an Mac OS X. And the lack of development of FCEU makes this one pointless. There is no reasons that we don't switch to Nestopia. What are you, YES YOU MR. Programmer, to add the missing needed feature so people could use a much more accurate NES emulator to make movies??

No, it's $112. Also, I did noticed that when it is at 0 at passageway between 2 and 3, $11c doesn't go down. It's the only place that it does that, in my run. It's probably because there is no ghost from level 1 to this passageway. That enemy start appearing at level 3.

Yes, paused doesn't mean stopped. And doing and beating an existing run just for the sake of beating it and take some sort of honor or something and some days, (or max 4 weeks) later, being beaten because 2 serious guy are already hardly working on it, is 100% stupid. Also, it would reduce by alot the surprise of our improvements over the current run. The reason it is paused is that me and Angerfist were talking with snes9x team and such. We must know if the problem will eventually be fixed or not. But now, we are waiting an answer from anomie. If he didn't answer until sunday or monday, we will be, and sadly, forced to do it on 1.43 and restart from 0.

Why aren't you waiting us to finish our version? And not to be pessimist but we are faster than 14 frames at 2nd screen.

I just watched that baby Mario run. It is one of those x games that got me interested to TAS. But I was afraid it will be too linear. At least, imo, it's not the case. The run in itself is not bad, there are some minor errors like Phfor mentioned. I think it could be made faster. But I am still voting yes. I think that game deserves to be published.

I don't think getting so many special characters is needed for the run.

Well, that was an unexpected improvement. I was about to eventually redo it. Was in my TODO list as I knew it was improvable. That's cool, war has reborn for that game. :) I would vote yes but it's no more needed, I guess.

I did rated 4 for entertainment, I think the run could be more polished. It looks too rushed. 1. There are too many unnecessary annoying jumps. 2. At 5-2, the upper part was used when the lowest was better. 3. No graphical glitch at 8-2 like I did. 4. There are some places where it is possible to achieve some combos with enemies that isn't seen in this run. Imo, if the author could improve the entertainment of this movie by doing a revision, it would be much appreciated.

He get a better randomness at 8-4 for he 1st fireball, that's probably where he did gained most of his 13 frames. In my version the randomness was so bad that I was forced to lose many frames there. And that's why when people asked me if the Mario run is perfect, I did answer "I doubt it". Well, nice improvement. What's next in your todo list? SMB2j warpless? Edit: About difference in checksum, it's because of the shadow image that FCEU loads. It's something that needs to be fixed. Edit 2: About the 4 hits on Bowser, it's alreay in our SMB1 warpless, I think. I think I have an idea why it happens, I will try to prove my idea later.

I didn't play the Genesis version, is it similar to Snes version? If yes, then why using the Genesis version as Snes is a superior system?

That's a hack and he tends to enter easily in walls.

The trick seems to help Luigi more than Mario. 42 frames gained in both 8-1 and 8-2 because of that.

taking the flag = 144 timeunits DOing the trick = 3-4 frames lost = 143 timeunits + fireworks. Waiting the timeunit for 142 is theoritically bad since you must wait 22-23 frames = More than the 21 frames rule. In conclusion, tking the flag at 144 is the wiser choice. I know what I am talking since I did tested it myself.
