We had to redo some stuff before we could start with LN. We needed 3 more Power Bombs plus the possible improvement which I mentioned earlier. The improvement was hexed successfully (another door CWJ), and we only wasted around 11-12 ingame frames for the 3 Power Bombs. In the process we managed to save around 30 realtime frames without wasting any ingame time. All of LN is a breeze, so we should be done with Ridley fairly shortly.
That's amazing, you guys are really moving things along nicely!!! Can we expect a WIP anytime soon?

Elaborate please. You mean he's redoing SMR any%? Did SM any% refer to this run or an improvement over T&K's any%?
LOL. Now that you mention it, that can be very confusing because I didn't say how long ago he posted that. He posted it a couple of days before he submitted this run. So I believe he was referring to this submission.

I definitely wouldn't call it trolling because he puts a lot of time into it and makes very well optimized TASes. That's going way to far to be trolling. Yea he has posted a PAL TAS of this game but, to be honest it was quite enjoyable. NTSC and PAL have many differences in gameplay and it can also be a great reference to PAL Speed Runners (Christopher "Giganotabehemoth87" Hill). As an NTSC speed runner of this game its good to see the differences in the PAL version. I personally would love to see a 100% TAS of the PAL version just for reference alone. The GT Code TAS is a great reference for speed runners as well because SDA considers it a glitched run. I believe Saturn submits TASes like that not only for entertainment and a breath of fresh air, but they're also meant to help out the speed running community. If he submits a TAS and it gets rejected its still in the archives for reference for both TASers and Speed Runners. Also recently on these forums under Super Metroid. I asked Saturn what he was planning next and he said Any% Runs for both Super Metroid and Super Metroid Redesign. So its not like he is refusing to submit his Super Metroid Redesign. Its still a work in progress.

BTW Taco, Kriole and Hero hows the RBO going. How much progress have you guys made from the WIP. Also can we expect another WIP anytime soon? Also my brother and I found some weird things involving the start menu. For some reason without Speed Booster if you start while Jumping or Mockballing it resets your speed. The start menu also has other weird properties for instance. It acts like a door transition in a way. If you hold Angle Down on your D-pad in a door transition it will Angle Down without losing momentum. Same goes for the start menu if you hold Angle Down before it fades back to the screen it will Angle Down without losing momentum. If the screen turns black and then press a button it will register the input immediately. For instance if you can multi-bomb in the air without turn around animation. It also registers like your bombing on the ground at least without Speed Booster that is. Very weird stuff not useful in TAS conditions, but I thought it was interesting.

What about a glitchless run? A glitched out of bounds run would be pretty boring honestly. I'm sure a glitchless run will take a lot of time, but the end result would be amazing to watch!!!

I'm not sure if any of you know this or not, but I'll say it anyway. In Upper Norfair, the room before the lava rising room. For some reason if you Power Bomb the Beetle enemies they drop 2 items instead of 1. Can anyone explain why that is? BTW amaurea thank you for the comparison videos you made, they were awesome!!!

The Boss Rush was really interesting and very entertaining with the pauses taken out!!! Is anybody planning to do a 100% Souls Run? The Aria of Sorrow all souls TAS was one of my favorites of all time!!! Hopefully someone decides to do it for this game because this is by far my favorite Castlevania game of all time!!!

It would be great if GT had any attack that could reach Samus at that height.
That's an interesting thought Reeve!!! If this was possible it would certainly make a 100% RBO faster because of less backtracking. Other then a 100% RBO I wouldn't see any use for it at all. Very cool find though hope you guys figure out a way to get up there. The 100% RBO is definitely something I'd like to see. Judging from Kriole's You-Tube Channel it seems like a possible project they might pick up afterwords. Fingers Crossed!!!

Nice WIP so far guys. For I while I thought the project was abandoned. I'm really glad to see someone pick it up again. These definitely some really interesting things you guys found, I can't wait to see more!!! Also nice find Saturn!!! Kills all enemies opens the door and saves a Super Missile. Hopefully they can hex that in or something. BTW other TAS projects??? Are you working on a 100% run of this game??? GOD I hope so, that's something I've been dying to see a new one for a while now.

This has happened to me once a long time ago is there any way to replicate this? If not I would like to know how it happened anyway. From what I remember its was like he tried to Swoop and Tail Stomp me at the same time. I don't know if that helps, but if anyone can figure it out I would really appreciate it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mX2xlRN9y9Q

I know this has nothing to do with a 100% but, how does this work? It would be useful for any% though. Also it happened to Tiki and RaijinXblade before. So it not edited. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bp4yN0rpuOU

No email or PM.. And in regards to the idea... if it seems possible, I definitely would be curious to know if it could save even 2 frames, as in the end, that could make all the difference. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
Yea I'll send you a PM on Twin Galaxies and here just in case. I'm not sure it would be faster for them, but it would look cool it it was possible.

It's a pity that after getting the speed booster, there's no way to get enough juice flowing to maximize speed, open the door, and then go super speeding through the lava of health draining annoyance. If there was a way to do so, it'd save a good chunk of time and look damn cool to boot. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I think Mister Epic is encoding it but, due to the slight change in the submission I'm not sure.

Any progress Hoandjzj? Also I don't know if I said this before, but your quicker Draygon kill was a nice find.
