So this is where the music from the first stage of Syobon Action comes from...

Good idea. I think that AKA can improve the movie by over 600 frames.

Looks quite interesting. Do you have any estimate on how long a full run would be?

No, it just proves that you don't know how to laugh.

I don't understand how he can find Metroid 1's ending to be disappointing despite the fact that Samus can remove her suit. :P

I'm a junior in high school and have never had a job. If anybody asks me what I want to be when I get old I usual say "computer programmer" despite the fact that my experience is limited to some sloppy ZZT-OOP and my school doesn't offer any programming classes afaict (despite having the largest student population in the state). That's half of the reason I've signed up for the Running Start program at the local community college (the other half being the hope that I can get a decent Japanese teacher).

There's nothing stopping us from releasing both cut and uncut videos.

Sadly, this is my experience as well. I've been looking for awhile, but can't find a workable replacement for Winamp.
I've been using XMPlay ever since Winamp suddenly stopped working on my old hunk o' junk that was running Win98. It supports Winamp input plugins, so you can keep all of your old music.

Well, it's just been proven that a Portal TAS would consist of roughly a minute of gameplay and about 6-8 minutes of waiting for the cutscenes to end. :\
In that case, I bet most people would prefer it if there was a cutsceneless avi.

Awesome run. Voting yes. Also, how can this be the good ending? That Ultimate-Super-Being-Creating, World-Incinerating-Missile-Powering, Nigh-Omnipotent-Alien-Cell (TM) powered magnum probably incinerated half the earth with that shot, and Fang definitely dies. That's no good at all! :(

Ditto. Also, I support the idea of an Arkanoid TAS, even if I'm too lazy to make it.

In general, I think that I'm best at platformers. However, the only specific game I would consider myself to be exceptionally good at is Contra: Hard Corps, which I've completed a few times only using a single credit. Then again, it's one of the easier Contra games. It's practically all pattern memorization. :P

Voting no for the noticeable lack of sub-pixel optimization.

I remember an Arkanoid game which had enemies in it and bosses. It was pretty good, but for some reason all the Arkanoid games I've tried don't have that sort of stuff. Perhaps I remember it to be far better than it was, and it was just the original Arkanoid for the NES or something. Still, can't hurt to ask here. Thanks.
You might be thinking of Devilish/Bad Omen. It was released on the Genesis/Mega Drive and the Game Gear.

I managed to snag 46% despite being born in '91. I blame the fact that I 90% of my music collection consists of chiptunes.

That's faster than the first 3 or 4 movies listed on the SMB obsoletion-chain, and a year older to boot.

I've encountered this bug before. I forget the exact conditions, but basically you to get a bullet to bounce of an enemy when it's lagging. (Un)fortunately, I think this more likely to be the result of a bug in the emulator than a bug in the game. Also, I don't think that the level is counted as 'cleared' until X fires the weapon in the demonstration iirc.
