So you're going nowhere near Washington? *sigh* Well, it's probably not much of a loss, considering the fact I despise the smell of coffee.

I find the text on the title screen to be oddly hilarious. Voting yes.

I've been questioning whether or not "accurate" was the right word to use. After all, provided the test isn't horribly designed, it should simply regurgitate the answers you give it, meaning it would only be as accurate as the test taker makes it. Perhaps a better word to use would have been "useful." Does that make me more INTJ? :P

Last time:
I 78%
N 31%
T 38%
J 11%

The first test:
I 67%
N 25%
T 50%
J 44%

The second test:
I 75% (E 25%)
S 52.78% (N 47.22%)
T 67.86% (F 32.14%)
J 53.85% (P 46.15%)
Like I said in the previous topic, I don't consider myself a very reliable source of information about myself, so some variance between tests should be expect. That, and I don't consider personality tests to be very accurate anyway.

What? No recalcitrance? I'm disappointed. Anyways, here's the words that I think I know. 2.) Lexicon - something like "vocabulary" or "dictionary" 3.) Jostle - shake around 4.) Pious - having a religious/spiritual inclination 5.) Vivacious - lively? 6.) Beguile - to trick someone 7.) Ubiquitous - very commonplace 8.) Superfluous - unneeded extra junk 9.) Obstinate - stubborn? 10.) Cacophony - an annoying noise 11.) Deprecate - to decrease in value 12.) Facetious - like a smart alec 13.) Veritable - true 16.) Inane - vapid? 25.) Obfuscate - make confusing Here's the words I've heard before, but can't really define: Inundate, Staid, Perfunctory, Abscond, Vagary, Aberrant, Egress, Bedlam, Venial Would I be correct in assuming that the list was in ascending order of difficulty?

I defenestrated your mom last night. The result was rather... uh... messy. I suggest that you move out of your high-rise apartment.

This game is naturally suited for TASing. I particularly like how choosing the right helmet can have a drastic impact on the level time. As far as the screenshot is concerned, I think the level where the berserker helmet is used to beat the level in a second would summarize the run perfectly.

Post subject: Xbox emulation?

Currently, it seems that both the GCN and PS2 have emulators that will be suitable for TASing in the foreseeable future. However, I have barely heard a single word on the state of Xbox emulation in years. Is their something about the system that discourages people from emulating it, or do people just not care? Anyways, after quick Google search I found that the only Xbox emulators that have been updated recently are Cxbx and Dxbx (I am unsure about the relation between the two projects). Doing a bit of research, it appears that the compatibility of these emulators is absolutely abysmal. Additionally, both emulators are taking HLE to it's logical extreme by attempting to run as much code natively as possible. I'm no expert on the subject, but that doesn't bode well for compatibility, portability, accuracy, or synchronization in my eyes... I'm not entirely sure why I made this topic (I've only played on the Xbox for an hour tops) but I guess the real question here is something along the lines of "Will the Xbox end up being the sixth-generation equivalent to the Saturn, emulation-wise?"

PS2 is reason to disagree. In that case, name sold hardware above all else.
The fact that it was also a comparitively cheap DVD player (at the time of release) was also a contributing factor to it's success IIRC.

Really? Sure it looks impressive, but the visuals aren't really much more complicated than Rad Racer. Although I agree that the music is very nice.

A more appropriate title for this hack would be Super Metroid Bros.

This reminds me of the unlicensed NES game Mig 29: Soviet Fighter. Perhaps that would be a better candidate for TASing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zi1WIhoMmQ4

F-Zero Maximum Velocity - Tenth Zone East For a GBA game, it has very good music.

Ugh. This game looks five times less creative than any of the classic series GB games, and twice as unpolished ("Auto Save," anyone?). Still, the speed at which the character moved and the nice music made this movie rather entertaining. I vote yes.

58 consecutive non-Bisqwit posts and counting... It would be interesting if somebody tabulated the length of the all the gaps between Bisqwit's posts in this thread (or something along those lines). Anybody up for the task?

Tool-assisted book writing? Interesting... Anyways, I beat it (same ending as everybody else). I liked the sense of humor, and it was quite fun. Granted, I had to commit suicide a couple times after realizing that I had worked myself into a dead end (although I'll admit that liberally used my browser's back button (like I used to do with my thumbs while reading real Choose Your Own Adventure books when I was younger)). As a random note, I found the maze part to be very reminiscent of the original Metroid. By that I mean I very meticulously made a map of the whole area only to have it run off the paper. :P At least everything appears to match up in a nice and Euclidean fashion. Also, I have few minor questions: 1. Does the number on the apparatus the man gives you represent the distance from the exit? (I ask this mostly because I thought it was a bomb with a timer at first, but found that was not the case after doing some experimentation after finishing the game.) 2. Do the light switches actually do anything? 3. Do you mind if I link to this on other forums?

I was entertained. However, because of my unfamiliarity with fighting games, I will abstain from voting.

This game sounds like a pure and unadulterated QA nightmare. Still, it looks like it might be fun.

Despite being entirely unpublishable, this movie entertained me. I vote "Yes." Also, I agree with moozooh and bisqwit.

As alden pointed out, the text has tons of misspellings, so I doubt that it's computer generated.

The game supposedly has a functional time machine. Maybe that would prove to be useful. EDIT: Alternatively, you could just have Ridley kill everybody. EDIT 2: Nevermind. That last picture is fanmade. :(
