I was thinking I could do special episode only for the Pro members. Comment only the best runs with the best TAS makers and only available for people would are ready to pay for it. It's will be only for the pros, I'm thinking of a pay per view system. Could we elaborate a kind of partnership ?

Thanks is was not easy, but after a while and using the "2 frames rule" it's start to get easier.

Hey, congrats on your first TAS. I see this game was ahead of its time! You'd expect modern games to be QTE-fests, not something from the 90's. Also, does this game have a plot at all? To me it just seems that the protagonist is a habitual reckless driver who makes more and more enemies the more he drives recklessly, facilitating the need to keep escaping from his multiplying enemies by driving recklessly. It's a wicked cycle.
Thanks! The story is actually way more complex ! In the late '90s in the United States , escalating crime automobile organized by mobile gangs appeared. Looting storefronts , randomly robbing , stealing cars, spreading terror in the city center , causing many deaths among the passers result of gang shootings rivals. To fight against this scourge climbing , the FBI , with the support federal highway patrols , created a special force, MATF ( (en) : Mobile armored Task Force . She was ordered to clean the streets from these gangs. Especially on the gang members RRR , a network of motorized brigands , who was considered the most dangerous. One of the best agents MATF after putting offside good numbers of important people in the organization RRR , took leave in order to marry. With his wife Cindy , they decided to go on a honeymoon at a resort . However, along the way , a group of RRR managed to locate and catch . A collision took the car out of the road and hit a boulder that caused the explosion of the car. The gang stop by the car on fire, to ensure that no one had survived, off again a few minutes later without knowing that only Cindy had perished in the accident. After recovering from his injuries in hospital, the officer MATF prepared his revenge by locating the gang hideouts . He also added modifications to the engine and suspension of his new car. Its goal is to find the woman with purple hair gang leader who killed his wife.

Hi everyone ! Long time no see, after a few years making our show in french commenting TAS and Speedrunning I finally decided to start a new channel only in English. Here the link: www.youtube.com/le88mph Right now there is only 2 videos but I also did more than 200 of them in french and can be found here: www.youtube.com/realmyop In the English version of the show, I'd like to invite some of you to present their TAS, and help explaining it. The idea is simple, we watch together the TAS in video and comment it with Skype (or anything you like with a good sound quality), then I'll edit the video and upload it on YouTube. So I need some volunteers for my first commentary of TAS, who is up for it ? You can PM me and simply add me on Skype: realmyop Hope this project will catch your attention :) See you soon RealMyop

Hi everyone ! On march '11, we commented this amazing playaround of ISS during an 88mph episode, which is among the most funny TAS we can think of. We'd love to comment more runs such as this, but we can't really just comment the same TAS again. That's why we thought of a "soccer TAS contest" which could be fun to be done here. The idea is to try to make more funny playarounds like this one based on soccer games. Marcokarty, the author of the ISS TAS, wanted to do another one on a Winning Eleven or Fifa game, but sadly never seemed to finish it. The best TAS to be made (decided by us voting members) will then would be commented during a Speed Game episode. The rules: 1- Only one match. 2- Any football game will be accepted. 3- The contest end on the 23 of june, one week before the finale of the Euro 2012. Like this the episode will be on internet one day before the finale. Good luck everyone ! I hope you'll be motivated and make some great runs :) If you need more details, just ask your questions in this thread. RealMyop

Well.. I guess I could do something about Super Mario 64 in French, since it's my main language. I could explain why I'm TASing this specific game and how I learned about TASvideos.
We made already 2 episodes about SM64, but who knows we may do even another one :-p If you want to give an example please do so. I hope I've been clear by the way, your video would be made to be included inside an episode of 88mph. It doesn't need to be a kind of standlalone thing.

Like I said, It's too put a face on the maker on the run. So if we present a run of aruKado again, it would be nice that he introduce it for us. If it's a run from a english speaker or even japanese or spanish, we can easily subtitle it. We can do a test, the next TAS is Sonic CD by Nitsuja. I hope he is reading this thread and will want to try ^^ I'll PM him anyway.

Hi everyone! As you may know there is two french guys doing a webcast called 88 miles per hour dedicated too the TAS. You may even have watch some thanks to Rayas and his great subtitles. http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=10868 I'm currently working (like all the time actually) on the ways to improve our show, and recently I had an idea and it will involve YOU! The TAsers! You magical human being making this magnificent runs. As you know some people don't believe TAS are made by human but more by a robot or something miraculous coming from the basement of internet itself. Anyhow I'd like to fight this idea by showing the people behind the scene. By showing the creators of theirs entertainment. In 88mph we're talking a lot about the community and how important it is. We're giving the names of the TASers but you still somehow just a ghost in the shell of internet. What I would like from you is simple. When we're preparing on a run, it would be great to have a small introduction from the TASer and in video. It can be something like 2 minutes, where you're explaining: why you choose this game, what was hard, funny or different than you expect or whatever you want to say about your run. See it as a short "TAS submission" but in video. Then with Rayas we'll subtitle it and put it inside the episode about your run. Technically it doesn't need to be perfect, a webcam will do the job. If I could I'll take my camera and travel all over the world to meet you in person and make a proper interview, but we're not there yet. We're planning quite ahead the episodes and you'll be warn a few week before we actually need the video. You should have plenty of time to make it. (At least 3 weeks) This is only an idea, and of course if you don't want to do it, we will understand. If you want to but not show you pretty face, you can still use an avatar (a pedobear or whatever) and just talk over it. I hope some of you will participate and help us make 88mph better. Thanks! Keep up with the good work and see you soon! RealMyop

Here the french version :-) http://www.nesblog.com/article-conference-sur-le-tool-assisted-speedrun-73879586.html @feos: Sorry the lecture is only written in french... I can't provide you a english text for it. If you're ready to do subtitles of the english version I'll be happy to put your sub on the video.

@Mitjitsu: "One thing I'd like to mention is when you talk about the future of TASing. You mention how people will try to create new categories like completing 8 unrelated games across different platforms using one controller (words to that effect). When its much more obvious to mention newer consoles becoming TASable e.g. Wii, 3DS." I decided to talk about new ideas that could be nice to do new entertaining runs. It's not that much the technicals aspect I waned to put upfront. Anyway you're right, I'm usually talking about the retro-gaming thing but I forgot to talk about that in this video. I'm usually saying that TASing is not only retro gaming. I'm explaining the emulators problems ( Resources consumption, accuracy ) And always speak about the newest console can be TASed if there is a good emulator running it. @arkiandruski: "The main goal of the site is to have entertaining runs. You kind of touch on that a bit, but I think it could be pushed a little more. Tool assisted runs are meant to entertain and surprise the viewer. It's the philosophy which causes the speed vs. entertainment debate that happens every once in a while." I agree, I'm talking about it in the philosophy part "le faire avec la classe, un objectif secondaire? " I'm also usually more talking about that. And I can tell you when there are some people in the audience you perfectly get the "entertainement" . "Alternate goals are usually chosen with this idea in mind. When an alternate goal is picked, it's usually because it would be slower, but the goal has entertainment value in itself. The 2 player run of Chip and Dale is faster and thus not a good example. A better one might be Nightmare on Elm Street, where the run is slower, but more players is more entertaining. A list of runs where using more players is actually slower, but the choice was made for entertainment purposes (There may be more). " Good idea, I'll change that when I'll have time. "You used Gradius as an example of a no damage run. That's actually not a good example because the nature of the game actually forces you to take no damage (otherwise you die). You should look for a movie where taking damage saves time, but the author decided not to do it (those are becoming increasingly rare). " With Coeurdevabndale we were even thinking removing this part. "For different characters, I would have used [976] NES Super Mario Bros 2 (USA) "princess only" in 8:29.56 by adelikat as an example. Princess Peach is not the fastest character, but she changes the gameplay significantly, which is why we made a separate category for her. " Like it, I'll change that too. "Speaking of Street Fighter II, you say that those runs are as fast as possible. They're not, and intentionally so. A fastest possible would be too repetitive. " I know, I also tell that often. Here of course, I forgot. I need my Coeurdevandale to not forget anything. "One category I love (and it can replace one of your other categories) is glitch avoidance runs. If people decide a glitch makes a run too boring, repetitive, or breaks the game too much, runners make another movie that doesn't use that glitch. These often lead to much more interesting runs than fastest possible. Here's a list. (This really needs to be kept track of better) There are others where glitches were found, but the unglitched run is still available on the site. I didn't include those because they were cases where the original author was unaware of said glitches, but they also might count as demonstrations of the concept." Thinking of that to replace the "no damage" run. "The presentation is well put together and would probably turn many people on to the idea of tool assisted speedrunning. I thought the videos were well integrated and it covered many good points. It's kind of sad that the video of Rayas TASing seemed to stop halfway through, though." Thanks, I usually leave the whole video of Rayas running. With the audience we're also replying to their questions. I've been a little too fast here... It would have been long to see it till the end. Thanks for your help, and the beginning of the lecture, I'll put a new thing. Made by Coeurdevandale, Rayas, Realmyop and helped by the TASvideos community :-p

DeHackED: "I'd like to have heard a bit more about the Doom origins." -Coeurdevandale knows better than me the Doom origins and he's speaking more about that in the french version. "Bisqwit's site wasn't the only one dedicated to TAS videos, but it is the one which survived and thrived." -I know that Bisqwit's site was not the inly one dedicated to TAS videos, but we didn't want to give to much informations that you could not track back. Also I never really knew them. "There's several versions of Super Demo World, so you should specify "SDW: The Legend Continues". Even though the original version is much less known." -Super Demo World, I will make the notice. "For the any% and low% runs, you show two different games (Super Metroid vs Metroid Fusion). That seems wrong if you want to compare the various styles. MF 0% vs 100% would probably be the better choice, since the low% SuperMetroid run glitches the the game very badly." -I don't really get it... You would like me to use the same game's submissions? Here I took an 100 % and a 0 % to explain the objectives variations. I'm not talking of the any%.

Hi everyone! Recently with Coeurdevandale (88 mph co-presenter) and Rayas we worked on a lecture explaning the TAS. We made it in some France video game festivals. It has been welcome quite well by the audience and we always had good comments about it. I know that doing it only in french won't make sense here, so I decided to record a special version in english. I'm already sorry for my english (annd my grrreat haccent). Still I think it might interest a lot of people here. Some others may just check if what I'm telling is right. I'm not has good in english has I am in French so they may be some approximations or stuff I forgot. You can of course leave your comments about it, if I can I'll do one in live in english and share it with you, it's better when you can hear the audience reacting to the videos. Also for french speakers: the french version is coming soon from the recording we made in Rennes during the Stunfest. What you'll find in this video: -What's a speedrun? -What's mean Tool assisted? -The objectives / philosophy of TASing -The History of TASing -How TAS are made? -Showing and explaining the tools -The spirit os TASing -The different types of TAS -From the TASpeedrun to the TASuperplay The total video is 1 hour and 03 minutes and it can be find here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XG_9r038Qoc Thanks for reading/watching See you soon Realmyop

The playlist is reverse because usually people are looking for the last episodes, I think it's better like that. We also forgot to say that we're looking for other french speakers to help us with the subtitles:-)

Hey everyone, Rayas made a great work on the subtitles, so you MUST, yes you MUST give us some feedback or about the show, or the subtitles as you wish. The webcast has change quite a lot since the episodes you can watch now with subtitles. HD recording, better sound , better comment and so on. We'll be working on subtitling a newer episode soon, like that you'll be able to appreciate the new version of the show^^. See ya soon everyone!
