Hello everyone! I'm working on the next 88 miles per hour (the french webcast dedicated to the TAS) It will be about Super Castlevania IV (http://tasvideos.org/126M.html) you may know that it is one of the oldest TAS and the quality of the video is really bad. I was wondering if someone would have the courage to reencode it in a better quality before the release of the next episode. It has to be done during this week, the episode has to be on internet next sunday. Thanks if anyone wants to help, and give a nice, new, clean video to this run. If there is also people who would like to give us feedback on the webcast; quality of the comments, the presentation etc...Please do so, arukAdo already gave us some but I'd like some more if there is some french speaker in here:-) See you soon, RealMyop

We were not talking about the MegaGlitch or the circuit bending, We were talking about the idea of making a TAS Workshop.

Hi everyone! I've been following the past day with a lot of interest too, I was quite sure it was one of the worse bad joke ever made. What would I do with my webcast about TAS without you... Anyway, as you might know I'm also an "artist" witch is using old consoles to create visual for the 8bit/chiptune music scene. I'm also doing some circuit bending on old consoles.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Circuit_bending If you want to see how it's look like I've made a video using a modified Megadrive called the MegaGlitch. and an image of sonic 2 modified by the MegaGlitch I also made an experimental video using it, be ready fasten you retina and ears:-) http://vimeo.com/10103221 and here another showing the beast itself. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xc6o2d_presentation-megaglitch_videogames (I'm sorry it's in french but you'll see anyway how it works) Now you might ask why I called this message: Making a workshop to discover the art of TASing. I've worked on making circuit bending workshop in France and in the Netherlands to make people discover this funny way of modifying toys. And with my webcast 88 miles per hour a lot of people are asking me questions about "how to TAS" so I was thinking designing a workshop of a day/half a day to make people discover the TAS. So I'm looking for people who could be ready to help me preparing this workshop and giving me advice about what's possible to do in half a day. What kind of tools I should use, probably not all of them if it's just an introduction of the art of TASing. What would be the best game/platform to do it. I was thinking making them doing the first level of super mario bros on a NES or something like that. Be aware, I've never TAS myself, but I want to learn too anyway. If we want this community, like Nach said in his post, to prosper and attract new people it might be a nice way. 88 miles per hour was already promoting the TAS and made people more aware of it even if it's only for the french speaker. Long life to the TAS! Contact me on MP or Skype if you want to help me with the workshop.

It seems to be ok, we've seen it with flygon, I'm in the group:-) DM try to contact adelikat for the TASvideos account but it seems complicated. FLygon you might have receive a mail or a PM from DM to talk about putting the TAS in creative content.

I've try again to join the group, I don't know why it's not working... Could you accept me first has a friend? it might help. It's quite tricky to do that now, get to friend, and then click on the 2 arrows close to "all my friend" and select "new asking". I'm not sure of the translation but it might look like that. I mailed my contact at DM and gave him your account and the one called TASvideos so be switch to full creative content. I don't know how much time it will take but usually it's quite fast.

Ok Flygon, I'll try to see what I can do. I think your videos hasn't been watch by the right person and that's why the creative content has been refused. BTW I'll do to enter the TASvideo group but I've been refused. If someone can tell me why? My broadcast in your group could bring some more visitors. I know It's in french, but most people on DM are.

Hello, I'm the director/presentator of "88 miles per hour" the french broadcast dedicated to the TAS available on Dailymotion. Recently I recieve a mail from someone at Dailymotion which is really interested to help you getting the best quality for your videos. All the people who are uploading video on DM should ask for the "creative content" and become motionmakers. With this the video quality is really better (check 88 miles per hour) and there is no time limitations. So if I were you I'll ask, it's free and really helps:-) If you have any problem having your validation MotionMaker , let me know I can ask directly to the right person at DM. Hope it will help, unfortunalty there is not way to put 60 FPS movies on the website (you can send it but it will be converted) , but the quality would be at least two time better.

Hello everybody, If you don't remember I'm the french guy having a broadcast about TAS witch is working very well on dailymotion. I'm sorry that 88 miles per hour is still in french but some people are trying to find a way to subtitle it or even dubbing it. If I'm here today it's not exactly because of the TAS but because I've worked on a new way to play old games called Wiitro gaming. Basically it's to play old game with the wiimote through a emulator. To do that I'm using a software , Osculator on a mac to convert the wiimote signal in a virtual Joystick HID. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xaxpnr_wiitrogaming_videogames and the explanation: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xay9p2_explanation-wiitrogaming-in-english_videogames If I'm here it's because I have a question regarding Mario paint. With the same concept I would like to control Mario paint , but this time with the Infrared sensor of the wiimote. To replace the cursor inside Mario paint by the IR of the wiimote. It would be really easy to draw this way inside the game. I've already tried it using a special version of mario paint , saying that the mouse or the joystick can be used with it. But actually it's not working at all. Like I said I'm on a mac using Snes9x (a quite old version BTW) and I also have a another emulator called BSNES witch is newer and working fine. Inside osculator it's quite easy to configure it to control my mouse, so I'm looking for someone would could help me in connect my mouse to the mouse of mario paint. If you have any idea let me know, I liked to use it in festival or in game convention to promote old-games. I'm working in France with an association called MO5 to make the first permanent video-game museum. Thanks in advance, I think people who can help me are only on this forum... Keep doing great stuff! Hi everyone! I'm back on the forum because I've a important question and also to share with you my work. First I'm looking for a tracker working on super nintendo, something like Famytracker but for Super Nes. If you have any idea about people working on something like that, I could be interested. But what would I need a tracker on super nintendo? To do music of course , I'm already working with Dr von pnok a gameboy music maker. www.myspace.com/zombipnok If you know any other tracker or way of making music with old hardware like Genesis or Master System Let me know to. Thanks everyone for you're amazing work , my broadcast about TAS is working really good and I'm gonna make some presentation of your work into some festival in France and on radio. See you soon RealMyop
