Okay, well i've been playing this game alot recently and I thought it seems a good game to hone my speedrunning skills on! There are numerous things that i've found by accident that seem to work and i've just completed the first stage all I need now is some input from the rest of you! Anything you think can be done better? Anything you know that'll speed up the run? Anything you think should be changed? I know of a number of spots in this frst stage run alone that can be improved. I break open a light that only has a money bag inside which doesn't help at all (it doesn't slow me down but it's pointless). Some jumps can be better timed, I'm sure I missed a jump slighlty and lost a few frames on a stairway! I also kill enemies which I'm sure can be avoided altogether! Plus I was at first aiming for a no damage run but that seems to be impossible at some points without slowing the run down a few seconds. There is also the problem with the skull wall that takes alot of time to get past - anyone got any ideas how to deal with this quicker? I did a search for this game and couldn't find anything so If someone has done a run please direct me there (likewise if there is another topic for this!) Otherwise some kind words of advice would be welcomed, I'm still learning but I think I'm improving! Castlevania - Bloodlines(Stage 1) Thanks. -J.

Okay...i've started a run of the brilliant game E-Swat as nobody has really attempted this and it's a great game that deserves a run. Just completed the first stage and thought i'd show you the fruits of my labour. Aims for fastest time / Takes Damage to Save Time. I know there are a few bits that could do with touching up. There is a point were i stop to kill a spider machine and two guys when i'm sure I can keep moving while doing it. From start till I destroy the helicopter i'm about 10 seconds faster than the run by Neofix. I complete the first stage in 1min 19seconds. Should i continue with this? any tips or advice? here's the run: HERE -RetroHolo.

well it definetly looks entertaining. i remember playing this way back when i was too young to actually be good at it! started my own no damage speedrun yesterday then thought i'd look for a topic. it's really hard to make this entertaining and keep it fast! i'll use some of the tricks here and hopefully should get stage one completed to post! -J.

Definetly an improvement on your last run! there are still some points that could be improved and i'd love to see a pacifist run of this. The only thing I think could be improved is the bonus stages...sometime you miss one of the two ninjas that can be hit with a single shuriken. But that's me being a perfectionist...and i've never had the patience with this game to have a stab at it! The grand finale of the boss is clever...and you only used your special once...to great effect! -J.

thanks for the tips...it being my first one i knew it wouldn't be perfect, but i'm gonna go back to it and use these pointers to make it better. Good stuff. The jumping looks good i'm gonna use that...now to beat the game in less than 15 minutes. heh. -J.
