What are the circumstances for this to happen? This is a savestate-anchored movie that does not show how the situation came to be.
It's nothing special, that's why the whole first level is cut out. Basically, what you do is you get to the warpstar, and scroll juuuuust enough so that the warpstar is barely off-screen and is gone. Throw a few cutters off and then go to the right to make the warp star disappear. That's the gist of it really. No hacking needed.

While Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, and Duke Nukem 64 are indeed 3-D, they don't take much time at all to complete. I've seen them all completed in under an hour. While there is heavy competition in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark, Duke Nukem 3D is pretty much overlooked, but the game is wonderful for a TAS. That's why I was really pushy on trying to get that game done. My suggestion is to go after those three games, since they are faster games.

Kinda funny I'm a lurker. Then again, I don't have anything to submit or really do. I should just be called "Unassuming Fellow". =P

I'd honestly be down on seeing a run of it too. That game is extremely difficult and took me forever while using cheats to beat the game. @_@ Run of this is yes! I'm dying to see this now. n_n

Honestly, with a game as short as this, I wouldn't mind if the AVI was a bit longer if it meant input time was less. The last submission of the NES Monopoly was like, 30 seconds, right? I really don't see a problem so long as the actual game itself isn't too long. Of course, there is the option of pausing the game before the last hit, but hey, that's more of a player's choice than anything whether or not to hit the pause button a good 90% of the time.

That's awesome. I've actually been wanting to do something like that for a long time, but I've just never had the time to do it. *Applause!*

For me, "Meh" is just something I vote when I feel the run was made well, but could have some major improvements with it for some reason.

I've had this problem with AVI files lately where if I hover over them for too long, or try to pull up information about them by right-clicking and going to "properties", things will promptly lock up until I go into my processes and stop the Dr. Watson thing from going on. There any way I can fix this?

FCEU crashed on me soon after the reactor in the final stage was defeated. >_< Overall, I'm very impressed with what I saw. At least I have reason to download the AVI now. Yes vote from me.

Or, if you got oodles of cash to throw away, you can just buy them out. Although it can take a good lot of money to do so. But the computer can be bought out for a fair price. =P

Since I don't have the time to actually do this myself... As I was playling level 84 of the Round Game of Wario's Woods, I thought to myself that it might actually make a decent speed run. At least more interesting than some puzzle games might be. What is Wario's Woods you ask? Well, it's a game where you play as Toad, and you have to clear out all the enemies on-screen in a puzzle game type of challenge. You have to clear out the enemies with bombs. However, there's some different numbers of enemies, enough to keep it interesting. Some enemies take one hit, some can only be killed diagonally, and some have to be blown up twice before they're cleared out. All the while, Wario pops in on occasion to make trouble for our happy hero, Toad. There's lots of chains, diamond-making (which when used, clears out all enemies of that color), and such to make the game long-lasting, and also damn near impossible to beat by human means, it seems. Not only that, there's three different one-player modes. There's a vs. CPU in which you challenge a computer controlled opponent through a story mode of sorts, a Round Game with 100 levels to go through, and a Time Attack, where you have to beat a specified number of levels as fast as you can. Since I just don't have the time to actually do this myself, I figured I'd stir up a little interest to see who might actually have time to do it. Anyone sound game for it?

Right. I almost think that the game decides what to do on a certain frame, and I'm wondering if it's influenced on where you are, and what action you perform. I haven't quite figured it out on full speed yet.

I gave it a yes vote. While there were some times that did drag on, mainly toward the end, for the most part it was amusing all the way through and such parts weren't too long. My only concern is the grenade usage. Perhaps you might have saved some time if you'd used less grenades sometimes?

Rise from the dead! Anyway, I don't know if it's possible, but is there a way to manipulate those annoying leaping enemies in levels 3 and 4 so that they jump offscreen or jump over you, then jump in place until the screen scrolls off?

OK, thanks. I didn't realize there'd be such a timing difference involved.

I can understand that this is a good RPG, and that fan translations aren't accepted in speed runs, but I really could not get interested in the run due to the fact I have no idea what is being said at all, and therefore, I have no idea what's going on in this game. It's a nice thing for the Japanese people, but for those of us who don't speak the language or know a lick of it, it's just not that interesting. Perhaps I could propose a second movie for the English speaking crew? I don't see where a translation patch would screw anything up in re-playing a movie, and a link to an English version could just be put up on the board. That way, it's just fair to everyone, and the rules aren't being broken as far as I could see. n_n

I want to third that. I've been here for about a year and a half now, and even though I've been silent, I've watched almost everything on this place. Lord knows if I have the talent to actually do a run, but if I manage to do one and have it up on this site, Lord knows I'd feel honored to no end that I'd be up there with some of the smartest video game peeps around. You guys just make the most awesome stuff and I never have anything but good things to say about this place. You guys frickin' rock. Seriously.

I'm a big anime fan, longtime gamer, and I hang around the Mega Man fan community. I'm also quite a deviantArt addict. =P I also like meeting people on the places I hang out at. Feel free to send me an IM sometime. I also like to travel. And I'll make a more interesting list later, I suppose. I don't know how much more interesting I can make it. I'm boring, dammit! XD
