I haven't seen the run either, but I just found out a little falling faster trick. If you hold down in mid-air, you'll fall super fast, but you'll only fall straight down. It limits the trick use, but I didn't know if you were aware of this or not.

Far better than the last one. The less I have to see of this game, the better. Though on the bad side, I can't make as many wisecracks about how crappy the game is. I shall vote yes now!

M'kay, didn't glance over it that well. Honestly though, with this kind of game, because it sucks so bad, I'd just use the shortcut. If you know you missed an obvious timesaver, well...go back and do it again.

I think there's a warp in the first part of the first level somewhere. I saw it in another playthrough once. That'll cut off a good chunk of time. I think it's in a waterfall. I'm not certain.

I did a search and I don't think I made a topic for this yet. If I did, I apologize. But anyway, this game has always been one that I've enjoyed. I never quite understood the hate of the game. It always felt like a solid puzzler with a good difficulty curve. I've always came close to beating it, but I never actually beat it. You play as a little guy who bounces off the sides of the screen automatically, and you have to collect jewels by touching them. There are a multitude of traps and tricks to watch out for, and there's other blocks that make you do odd things or help you out. I wanted to try to find some gameplay footage of it, but all I found was a bunch of Let's Plays, so here's the best I can do: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tANIAvgPh8o What do you think? I'd love to do this run because I've always loved the game, but other people don't share my love of the game. I know of a couple of tricks, but I don't know of any glitches yet. Also, I would be using the version of the game on Maxi 15. For some odd reason, the regular Dudes With Attitude ROM has a screwed up mapper issue that using Maxi 15 doesn't have. Odd. o_O

I actually found that out from the developer himself last year, but he swore me to secrecy. Even now, I don't dare post it because he never gave me the final approval. :x

Yeah dude, it's fine. In all honesty, I got really friggin' lazy and just never got around to it. Sorry 'bout that. I'd be game in joining you in another split of this. Perhaps finding more glitches and screwing the hell out of this game. Do you think under four minutes is a viable goal? :D

Yeah, I've seen it already. Yes vote. :P Looks like I need to come back and either make sure this is dead perfect or have another run that can stay up for a while. I do have a good chunk of time after August...

What about Final Fight 1 and 2? There aren't really many different combos or tricks that I'm aware of that would make things go quicker.

That's even more awesome than the time I used two Game Genies at once on an NES game. Awesomely enough, it actually did let me use six codes.

Pretty much, Disgaea is the only tactical series I play, because it's such a great fit for my own personality. It is my video game crack and I can play it all day or night without realizing it, a rare feat in games for me!

That and there's already a shitton of discovered stuff in Goldeneye and Perfect Dark that has already been discovered. I'm kind of surprised that hasn't gotten posted up there yet, truthfully. Though then again, I speak now and haven't done much at all with those games...

I've already beaten it. Hellishly difficult indeed, but far from impossible.

No, I'm not sure if he can be forgiven. :p Anyway yeah, I'm helping out on TCRF by porting the pages over from mine to theirs. Theirs take precedence, because I'm not a hacker. They are. Expect more ports when I'm not slacking off.

Yeah, that's totally not the actual video for the song. I know, 'cause I'm kind of an 80s geek and I've seen the official video.

Congratulations, man! I only wish I could read it, but because of the language barrier... =( It's also my hope to get published one day too, but as a poet. Then we can be in the published club together! I've done a few self-publications though. I hope it goes well for you!

I pretty much saw through it with X-Ray vision. I'm extremely hard to fool at this time of the year. However, I was preparing, in case this was an ill-timed announcement, to shoot holes in the argument like a drive by with a tommy gun. It was going to be win-win for me either way. So yeah. Happy Shenanigans Day!

Honestly, I've always considered TASes and regular speedruns to be two separate things in general. So what if they can't be done on a real NES? Some of the ROM hack TASes can't even be played on a real NES by most of the populace, but yet we still have videos of them. The more important thing is the enjoyment we get out of watching them. I also thought we weren't competing against real speedrunners or trying to compete with them in any way. And since it's so close to April Fool's, I'm gonna give this a couple days to blow over. Then if we're still in a panic about it once April 2 or 3 rolls around, then I'll give more of my two cents. Color me skeptical, but I'd rather just hold off and give more of my opinion when I know I'm not being suckered into an elaborate joke or not.

Just Rick will do now. I've grown outta that phase. :p So yeah, I don't have any of the music unfortunately. Never even knew there was music to be had, but then again, that's probably because I had to use public computers all the time back then. I didn't actually get my own PC until 2001. I did, however, remember after the scene, I ran Game Genie Code Oddities for a while, and also submitted stuff to David Wonn's site. I like to think that a couple of the things I posted there helped out with a TAS vid or two. =)

Ha, funny enough, I used to run with that scene. Shit, I must've been like...13 or 14 at the time and using the internet at school and the library. I kinda hung around and did staffing at other sites. I think I remember talking to clawx before. I just remember (and still talk to) that cracked8ball (c8b) guy who I believe staffed there for a short time. He was one of my very first 'netpals too. And what the holy hell was I thinking going under the name Rick (Lickichu), with the parenthesis included? God, I was young and foolish.

What happens here?
It starts off normal, but then calls a "Game Over" and your character burns into a skeleton like in Scorpion or Sonya's fatality. It's like the game's version of a double middle finger. :p
