To be honest, I like the 14% run better than the 6% run because of the non-room glitching. I'll look forward to watching this. I loved the other two or three runs of this type, so there's no doubt I'll enjoy this one too.

I actually thought of pitching that as a legit run idea a couple of days ago, but I thought people would kind of jump at it and be all "No!" and such, so I just stayed silent about it.

It actually worked fine on my SNES9x, using v1.43, anyway. I don't know what you used, but if you can't get it to work, I'll make a little AVI of it and post it somewhere.

Ha ha, that was pretty amusing with the echoes! Confused echoes are confused. That'd be nice if, at all possible, that could be stuck in a run or something just for some aesthetic fun.

I'm interpreting it as option #3, being shown the material but not quite understanding it, only because I have the same problem when it come to math. Try as I might, sometimes it just never seems to make sense to me, especially when it's brand new material. All I can say is, thank God I'm an English major.

No, I understand about the search engine thing. It doesn't play nice with me either. Ever. Anyway, back on topic, yeah. Monster Party gets little love.

Yeah it is. I tried one using the level prior and didn't get any results. I'm pretty sure that a hack would change the level layout anyway, Hence, why I asked.

Because I don't feel like hitting the quickload button every time, and to avoid the possibility of getting the same maze (I wanna do this for the Subway level) every time I play it, because that's not fun. Edit: Confirmed; Savestates just give the same maze over and over again, that I've been able to do anyway.

I figured since I seem to have a lot of codes I tend to request from other people, perhaps it'd be nice if other people could get in on the action if they wanted to request, and if people who are much better hackers than I can find out the codes, either by hacking it themselves or posting them up from somewhere you found on the web. If this isn't a cool enough thread, please torture me with instruments of torture. :( Anyway, I'll start off by requesting: 1.) A code for Super Metroid to control the jumping gravity. 2.) A level modifier code for Where's Waldo. (I wanna just play the Subway level over and over :p) --- I'll also do what I can with my limited ROM cheat hacking ability to try and make codes as well, so I'm not completely useless!

That was posted well over 9 months ago. Doesn't seem like it's being worked on to me right now.

I lean towards 100% runs, to be honest, because I like seeing parts of a game TASed that wouldn't normally be seen in an any% run otherwise. It's kind of neat too to see like, a really hard-to-get bonus room get accessed as if the game were set in Easy Mode.

If I ever get married, I'm totally having something geeky-related in it, even if my family will probably feel embarassment for me not going traditional. However, first I actually have to get a girlfriend. One step at a time. :p

Very, very nice job, Twisted Eye! I never thought something like that could be done.

You know something? I would think it would also be amusing too, for someone with little artistic talent on a piece of paper like moi, to maybe re-create a screenshot of a scene from a TAS, using tools! I can see it as sort of a tribute thing. I dunno, I'm just blathering, sorry if it's kind of off-topic. Also, Pekopon, like I said on YouTube, Keep up the good work. =)

Last I knew, it was just my wireless connection being dirt slow for uploads. Some of those PSP videos that I upload on archive.org can take well up to an hour or two before it says they're ready. I'll have to submit something here using the campus internet network and see what happens.

That didn't stop the Tetris max-score run from being published.
Tetris has a score cap that keeps the score from rolling over.

The problem I believe there is too is that a lot of the Multicart games are games that go on until you lose, with the levels repeating over and over. With some of them, such as Donkey Kong, the goal is a little more clearer because runs have been published already. But what about games like Mappy, Galaga, etc. who just keep going on and on until you die?

Truthfully, I use Winamp for watching all the TAS AVI files, and the MKV format doesn't work in the video sense. It works fine for the audio though. Maybe I'm the only one, I dunno, but I'd like to have a way to watch the MKV files, or just have some kind of regular file format or something that I can watch on Winamp and don't have to use two or three different video players just because some aren't compatible with others. Chapters I wouldn't mind, as long as things aren't being done in parts like some of the SDA runs. I know it's difficult not to do with some games, but I hate having to download a bunch of different video files to see one game beaten. These are just my opinions though.

I haven't watched it yet, but if you found two and a half minutes of improvement out of a video I thought couldn't be done any better, you have my kudos and a very likely "yes" vote. I read some of the descriptions and I got confused at the high-level math terms. Math never has been a real strong point for me. :p

I'll be honest, I actually did enjoy this run. I'd tried the game and it's freaking hard as hell, yes. Kinda nice seeing the game owned.

Ah hell, right, I almost forgot about that. Well at least you taught me one thing, Mr. Kelly R. Flewin, this game can be massively entertaining! I hope I can make it entertaining enough as my first-ever TAS. (On a side note Mr. K, I read your Kung Fu FAQ on GameFAQs while netsurfing one day, good job on that.)
