Hey feos! I selected a loseless codec and it's encoding OK now. My previous videos wouldn't open up in Windows Media Player but the new ones do. So I should get a final encode up soon.

When I preview the script in virturaldub, it only goes up to a certain portion of the movie. Update: I think I know what the problem is now. I read through the kkpature guide and I forgot to check some settings. Hopefully the dump should be better now.

What I meant to say is that the video file itself. The .bat only likes to encode 39 minutes of audio and the movie length is 2 hours 8 minutes.

Has anyone had this issue before? Lately, I have been trying to encode my Abe run for my YouTube channel and I tried so many attempts yesterday and when I encode using the bat from the publication manual, it only encodes 39 mins of audio the run and the run length is around 2 hours 8 minutes. Do I need to add something to the script to make it encode the whole audio length?

This is odd. I use kkapture on a VM on my Mac and it captures perfectly but because I record on vm it's terrible. Don't worry! I'll have an iMac soon with dedicated graphics so when I dual boot with windows things shouldn't be a problem!

There may be a glitch we can used to rescue multiple mudokons without rescuing all 300. It might save some time so we don't have to go to every secret area etc. The twitch streaming is for my RTA runs. I do Abe's Oddysee any% on PC, Abe's Oddysee 100% on PSX and I will be considering speed running CTR when I get my NTSC PS2 very soon and i export all my RTA runs to YouTube when I complete a good run.

Some people outside of this forum like Eekcast wants to watch it so I'll be uploading it to YouTube shortly. Update: It doesn't work with integrated graphics sadly. I wish I had my main laptop but it's in repair and I won't get it back until the New Year. Never mind. I'm getting a high end iMac on Christmas Day. I'll install Windows on it and make a final encode when it's been accepted. Update 2: I just got hold of a SuperDrive and I'm gonna install on my MacBook Pro. So hopefully there will be s temp encode for anyone who wants to see it on YouTube.

An update on my encode, my own laptop is in for repair and I had to borrow someone else's to encode. Unformatley when trying to encode using the direct draw option in kkapture, the game crashes at random places. I'm gonna have to kkapture it segmented. How do I join the segments to one file?

I did a test run of AO and I decided to do an RTA world record simulation and I was able to complete the game and replay the movie on the latest revision.

Bizhawk will be easier to encode with high sound quality. With PCSX, the re-sync workflow method won't work with AE so it's better with Bizhawk.

As the Bizhawk team will be adding PSX support in version 2.0, I think we should not publish our PCSX movie and do the run again on the new Bizhawk emulator when 2.0 comes out and when the developers are given the OK to TAS on BizHawk. I have been testing PSX core on the betas and it looks promising that we'll get better results and better frame rate than PCSX. So until then we will have a finished PCSX movie that we will use to guide us when making the BizHawk movie.

Tested today's build on Windows. Looks good. Sound hasn't been that crackly running Abe's Exoddus. I think Dooty and I should wait till Bizhawk is able to TAS PSX so we can do 100% run of Exoddus on a better quality emulator than PCSX-RR. I notice the pitch goes up and down a bit though. I assume this will be fixed in later builds.

I'm running the latest revision on the USA bios. I got it working. The sound seems a little choppy and the frame rate gets slower sometimes.

I try to load the Abes exoddus rom and all I get is a black screen.
