I'm missing something here............ EDIT: Nevermind, I don't bother to look at the linked movies before I post. Just ignore me please.
Phil's NES Super Mario Bros. in 02:48.12 is a .FDS version.

Voted yes. Does this mean another 18 submissions, each 2 -3 frames apart, and 60 pages of arguments?
God damn, shut up.
Ahhh, I feel the love.

I'm sorry, but the extent of your posts that I've seen have been nonstop negativity, even if they have been jokes. I rarely get so blunt as to tell someone to outright stuff it, but I kind of got irritated with it. Kindly stop it please. :) ANYWAYS ALSO, does anyone else have any other ideas of possible improvements? It would be nice to see something gamebreaking. :P
Both of you I'll end this fight right now ;) peace and happiness please ^__^

This looks really good my boy! *Shinryuu hands a candy box and lemonade bottle* I'm really impressed about this run and the new trick was confusing, never seen this happening before!! I don't know did you try to avoid that "frame rule" but i assume you did ..and this is a new TAS world record of SMB, Congrulations i'll give a easy YES vote punch shot to your face :)

That's quite a lot of lag reduction for just one boss fight. Great job. :) Have you tested if this trick can save as much time on the other bosses yet?
EDIT1, replaced with a correct information, buster doesn't have anything to do with a lag. Buster can be loaded faster by sliding all the time, left and right is the best choice to shorten your loading time.

Hello TASvideos! This time i have to show something interesting. Flameman stage is now 127 frames faster if compared to current published run :) Major timesaver is to avoid/reduce lag while sliding at right time in Flameman fight, and avoid lag with slide & walk rightside of the screen when boss is killed. over 100+ frames were gained from the battle now. movie = http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/16609130/endsatflameman.fcm (this movie stops after a fight.)

There is a few improvements i found some months back.. it's going to be much faster if you use broom all the time because you can zip through corners with it and it helps you to land everywhere much faster and the broom can fasten your speed in the rooms (if they are scrolled completely) so the broom is your tool now :p

i really enjoyed this run a lot, i sense the justice of optimization in you :) never seen this game before but it reminds me about Rockman and other platform/shooting games, and musics reminds me about Bucky O'hare. You handled boss fights really well, stages was really funny to watch. Voting Yes :) this picture is really funny : https://files.tasvideos.org/autosnaps/1702_10.png

Seeing MM6 bumped reminded me I wanted to ask how this run was progressing. So I'm doing that now. :)
Stuck in the clashman stage scrolling, i can't find the "key route" to it to get it to work and there is a bug in the Bisqbot code and can't know what it is. I have done some progress to MM6 because of that but of course im trying to complete that scrolling when i feel to spend some time for it :)

Awesome movie! That gave me a good excuse not to go to bed. ;) The quality was excellent, as expected. :) I have one question though: After you beat a boss, you usually keep running on the right edge of the screen before it starts to scroll. An example of this is around frame 17700. Have you tested if running against the edge of the screen affects your subpixel position? If it does, you might want to optimize your subpixels before Mega Man starts to move. This could perhaps save only one or two frames, but it might be something to consider.
Thanks, when you are middle of the room mega man moves for 2 frames and then he appears to be in jump position. I have never seen this happening 1 frame faster if i could do this i'll add them to my movie and thanks anyway ;) Edit1. It shouldn't be possible to do, i tried few things for it Edit2. There is a technique that allows you to decrease lag after a boss is killed by walking right (works on every boss fight) depends on your position and how you move, shoot etc. .fcm file = http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/799428284/decrease.fcm Little technique, don't remember stages so well if there is a same kind of ladder -> drops somewhere in the game. (saves 3-4 frames, depends on your pixel position..like everywhere in the game) .fcm file = http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1294071963/slide.fcm Edit3. I found a technique that allows you to decrease lag by just sliding around in the boss fights (tested only in Flameman fight so far) i was able to hit much more faster per. each shot and im really amazed about this and my motivation increased about 3600% when i found this, im going to find some more information about this :) Flameman boss fight is now 84 frames faster, it's good if you can detect lag when you are going to slide because with this you can charge your weapon few frames faster. There is few things i want to know because i can try to improve this battle by 5-10 frames, i'll try to remove laggy slides from the beginning and try to jump so low as possible and continue sliding because it affects to charging. movie = http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1190458892/mm6-032.fcm

According to the MM2 Wiki page: "Quick Man is vulnerable to Crash Bomber; however, it's best to hit him directly, which can be difficult. A miss causes Mega Man to have to avoid Quickman's attacks, since he cannot fire again until the Crash Bomb detonates, which will kill Quickman in one hit if he's on top of it." I have no idea if this is true, or if it would even save time, but it's out there.
Well. I believe that I once did manage to get Quick Man to run into an exploding Crash Bomb, but because this is indeed so incredibly rare to do, I'm not sure whether I really did manage to get this done, or whether I just think I did. Regardless, since you've got a massive amount of Mega Man 2 TASing experience by now, it should be quite easy to check, right?
This should not be a big proplem to test out, i have tried to do few different attemps but they are incomplete. ;) (Oh yes. Crashman - Bird&Ladder part is done) EDIT 1 - Quickman movements can be manipulated easily (example. press 1 frame left 3 right or jump and so on.) i was not able to do anything interesting.. you can kill Quickman with 2 crash explodes easily but its too slow compared to original fighting and i even tried to hit Quickman 3 times before using that exploding one.

Well.. im going to watch this soon :) im looking forward for this, you made insanely great work on your DKC1 run (You are the one i respect a lot in this communicity because of your will to do great improvements) EDIT. Arne i have to thank you for your hard and insanely great work. i were really surprised about some new glitches (they suits this game well) This game is a true classic, this run gave me a feeling about fighting against impossible things and you made them possible. I want to see other great/well planned Donkey Kong Country runs from you. You are really talented one, thanks for making this :)

Movie is not so entertaining but i like glitches and some stages. This is proparly one of the mario games i like to play sometimes

Time is not a proplem. You can make a perfect TAS of Rockman2 in a one day if you can do screenscrollings in a one try or without getting any proplems. but im voting Meh because of the "boringness" of glitch(es)

one question : this is ntsc version right ?
Yes this is NTSC version :) USA games runs around 10 frames faster per. second than PAL ones and the most of the movies are (U) or (J) based because of that.
