Incredible work! I'm so happy to finally see the finished project. This has everything I've hoped for. My version of comparison video (classic two-screen comparison) coming soon... BTW, Crashman has faced a terrible color pattern crash. I hope the publisher doesn't pick third screenshot because it doesn't look too much like Rockman.
Thanks for the thumbs ups! Yeah, that's rare. It usually happens when of the required values is low. It's also funny because we have no idea does it break the game further on. It looks like it's from an another dimension!

This looks pretty fast and tricks are neat. I can't stop thinking about those ripped graphics and zoomed camera. Looks good.

Glad to see that you're still working on it. I've been looking forward to the new TAS for years. :)
Thanks for the thumbs up! I just finished Bubbleman as well. I'm 71 frames faster over the published run and 21 frames faster vs. my unpublished yet old WIP run. I've found several ways to make this run more techinal. Mostly thanks to warmCabin for pointing them out. I've usually lost my frames due to frame rules and Delay and DownScrolls. They need exactly correct position and position of the music so improvements aren't that vast. DelayDownScroll at Crashman needed a large PreNMI value and propably SE:$1C(FF) as well combined with a correct X and its subpixel positioning so I couldn't save frames over my old WIP at all even I found a way to save 11-12 frames from the stage itself even I was able to avoid frame rule from a big refill. I also found an interesting item1 combo and I was able to use it at Quickman stage. Quickman was 3 frames faster but not enough to tackle the frame rule off so I lost them as well. I also found a better way to handle stuff at Bubbleman but DelayDownScroll (PreNMI I love you) needed that exact placement and position in music and X position so I lost my frames as well. I almost forgot that Bubbleman had an annoying frame rule so I had to go back and manipulate $FC value to the 1 instead of 3. No wonder I lost 8-9 frames at the battle first. That can be manipulated at the frame you jump off the water. Me and aglasscage have been testing Woodman. Our new route seems to be around 50+ frames faster at the moment when I timed it. It's hard to perform because every scroll we need to perform needs special treatment such as high PreNMI value. It had been done but we're looking for possible refinements.

Shinryuu are you still working on this?
We should because there are a lot of improvements, the main issue I think is just time. I'll check with Shinryuu today and see if we can get something going. There's too many improvements not to finish it.
Haha, well.. aglasscage contacted me couple of months later though. He seems to be quite motivated and we're ready to continue where we left off years ago. I'm also motivated to work on this. We both also think we can finish this game without the aid from FinalFighter and pirohiko. I'll be working on Rockman, hopefully in the future as long I can get some help from FinalFighter and pirohiko. They're only persons in the world with the knowledge and precison I need.

Not sure if this is known or not but I found it on accident tonight. I was able to get Wily to spawn before the refights in Wily 4. Sometimes it resets when he spawns, sometimes hardlocks, or it keeps you stuck in the ceiling like the clip. It would be a big save RTA if you were somehow able to actually fight him from before the refights. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rn2h4S8OT78
It's known. I do remember seeing something similar on FinalFighter's page which haven't been updated for ages. I also refreshed my memory and tried that out because I was curious. At least I have no idea how do you get out of the ceiling. It seems to freeze or reset quite often. I can confirm this is legit. Here's the video I'm talking about http://yuko2ch.net/rockman/rockmanw4.mpg I think this is recorded back in famtasia days. This video demonstrates what happens when you kill Bombman though. Bombman appears normally when you enter a teleportation machine as well.

sorry to say but it doesn't look like we're going to meet. Hope you have a blast though!
Thanks. Hope everything is alright on your end. Meanwhile my ferry is arriving in Stockholm. My stay in Finland was surprisingly eventful—I even managed to visit an arcade hall in Helsinki (yes, there is one) and pick some garden berries in Turku. :) Many thanks to Brushy and his incredible hospitality!
Oh! I totally missed that you were visiting at Finland. I was also attending Assembly as well. I was in the robot war section and spend around 3 days at Boozembly too. I too played on an old arcade machines there. After that I was at Turku from Sunday to Thursday. We've been in same places but we didn't meet! I looked like this during Assembly, http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?p=457477#457477

I did some tests in real time and interestingly enough I was able to make game to reset and make Mega Man's speed to speed up for the rest of the screen, so that video is not a fake one. I'm just curious to know what's so different in that place because you can do things like that in real time, still not easily though. It's known you need a place where screens are connected and it seems that's exactly a place for that. This might help speedrunners quite a bit if they succeed well in that place :) In our current run and in this stage we acquire magnet beam and perform DelayStageClear in the beginning so this won't help there. EDIT1. Okay, after fiddling for a while I triggered something I've never seen with this game before. Mega Man zips like crazy in the air and in the end game just resets itself. Here's my .fm2 file, http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1714594882/rmtest.fm2 EDIT2. Oh right, this was already used back in 2014 or so among the speedrunners, so this wasn't anything new. I must've hit my head somewhere because I was unable to remember anything about this. Here are couple of players who used it in the past but soon credits glitch based runs beat these off the map. http://www.twitch.tv/nudua/v/49043770 http://www.twitch.tv/cartinacow/v/7787944

This is just a way how I tend to interract with people, not really straightforward but not that cryptic neither: I've also experienced many situations similar to this. Also when I was still in a high school I used to be a "bucket" for girls and I listened to their issues but in the end I was just being used. Life I had with my family wasn't going quite well back then and I got quite suicidal for many years and I separated myself from everyone. I wouldn't change even a second of my life away because the route I've lived through has been the best experience I've ever had. Hardships can also be a new start for something new. That's why I tend to inspect, test people in a positive way, be more cautious and be more rational with different kind of people. I sometimes also long for some deep friendships. I'm introvert but highly social with people. I have a one good friend I see extremely rarely and other one is my classmate from college but he's sometimes hard to catch and keep up with because he has a hypomania. He might shut himself for months and won't even talk anything. Nowadays I just accept who I am and I feel really good pretty much everyday. I'm not really interested in money even I have a job and I have no urge to pump my status at all. I like arts and I usually laught at my own ideas when I find something random I might try on my drawings. I work as a mentor in a middle school where I can be the original me. I tend to cycle a lot all around places just for fun. That's pretty much my life and I've nothing else included in it at the moment, yet I feel proud. It's also interesting I feel negative emotions extremely rarely because I only seek for possibilites and the way out of things. I bet the love is the thing that sums all of the life of people inside a one word. It's full of ups and downs. It makes you to feel extremely sensitive and good about things but it might hit you really hard sometimes. You'll just have to overcome it somehow. The answer is something you'll have to look for yourself. We can share our emotions and experiences with you. But the answer you're looking for is something you should find by yourself. There's always a place for people. Sometimes even the easiest things in life becomes so rare and hard to reach that you feel like you've hit the bottom of the void in this vast universe of ours. Also, feel free to shoot me a message and let's listen to some nice music.

Glad to see this project finished. When you still had some WIPs floating around I followed your footsteps a bit to see how technical your work truly is and I was unable to make them any better. I'm still quite impressed how you managed to find tedious movements to avoid lag. Lag is just a big time sink with this game and your subpixel position also affects that way too much. Pretty damn solid run, thumbs up!

I'm working on it. There are some tricks that needs verification before I go further on. I've reached Wily stages and I've fixed item1 height speeds for that stage. I'm also working on a different version for this game together with aglasscage who started the whole thing.

Ah, that might explain a lot of things. The whole thing was one of these; "too good to be true" cases. As I talked with FinalFighter before about the situation he pointed out that there's a high possibility it might be some kind of memory corruption. I'm still interested to know why there are people saying the opposite, like it was played on a real NES instead of Everdrive. Thanks for telling us that information and let's hope I can finally and peacefully continue this run further on :)

I like where this is going. It seems we're getting some extra graphical stuff in the screen this time (see the greenish area).

That's highly possible but we're still waiting for a reply from the author so we can confirm it.
