But it glitched the scoreboard! That's gotta count for something...

It's simply a keyboard limitation that can't accept too many presses at once. Remap your keys or use a controller to bypass the issue.

Some rounding out of the Kirby games in the TAS list needs to be done, where it has everything barring Kirby's Dream Land 2, 3 and 64. I don't know if 64 will be done anytime soon, as much as I'd love to see it, but at the very least I'd say 3 and 2 need to be done already.
Kirby's Dream Land 2 is already done. It's listed under SGB on the GB/GBC/SGB page.

The link for "As Fast as Impossible: 10 Insanely Thrilling Tool-Assisted Speedruns" is a dead link. Digging around, it appears a dash needs to entered between tool and assisted on the Crispy Gamer link. http://www.crispygamer.com/features/2009-04-20/as-fast-as-impossible-10-insanely-thrilling-tool-assisted-speedruns.aspx

I don't know if somebody is playing the game off camera or if it's a recording, but the guy is playing the SFX as he plays the music. :)

I still don't understand the point of the arbitrary restriction. How about a motivation?
I guess the restriction is to be playing Sonic 2 like the original Sonic 1, which had no spindash.

Voting no because "mainly" without spindash is a stupid choice. Especially since it's "mainly" without it. That's like beating SMB1 "mainly" without using the B button. Either you do it without it, or you don't.

Cause Kirby doesn't fit as well as other characters in there. You'd have to add flying physics, determine which powers you're going to use for super/fire levels...eh, even as a fan, I don't think he fits that well in there.

Would it be possible to beat the Rank C Battle Royale with just Rattata at the beginning of the game, so you can go right on to Rank B? Controlling 4 Pokemon at once, after you have at least 4 of 'em. Use passwords to get the most powerful Pokemon. The boss intros and the battle royale intros, and jumping on the launch pads, are all skipable, except for first times.
I've never been able to succeed, since pretty much one attack kills Rattata, but for a TASer to do it, it may be possible. Then again, it still may just throw you out and continue on with the story. Definitely worth checking into.

While it has better flow, I don't think it's the 100% is that disruptive. Plus the 100% has a better ending. We still need a vote that is better then yes for runs like this. :)

So yes, he's doing a best ending aka 100% run too. Edit: Watched the run in full. The cup of awesome is not only full, but it's overflowed and filled your entire basement. ' Is there an option greater then Yes to vote on?

I have all of these. I know they disable access to the torrent files on the site if they're old (which some I believe are), so unless you want me to put them on mediafire or the like, I'll need torrent files. I may also have oddworldadventure-tas-applepieman.avi too if you're actually referring to oddworldadventuregb-tas-applepieman.avi So that only leaves these for you to find:

Well, Windows 7 on our work PCs reports what's installed as well as what's available (which was started in I believe Vista SP1), which states 4GB installed and 3GB available. My XP at home reports the 3GB too, even with 4GB installed. I know in my home computer case it's not an issue with video RAM, but I just chalked it up to 32-bit only allowing 3GB and that you needed 64-bit to see more. Meh. This article is a pretty good read about RAM and OSes. http://technicians-blog.kingcomputer.com.au/index.php/how-much-ram-can-i-access-with-a-32-bit-or-64-bit-operating-system/

Too bad it'll have really limited usage since you get it so late in the game.

EDIT: This gave me another idea: In Windows, I think it would be very convenient if you could right click on a .fcm-file, and have the options "convert to .fm2" in the menu that pops up. Would this be possible to implement?
That would require either actually installing the emulator (instead of just extracting it), or including something that installs something to the registry when FCEU is run, since you have to register with Windows that you want to do something with a certain file type. I'm sure that the file type commands are stored somewhere in the registry, but I'm not sure where. Edit: Looks like they're stored in: HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-869750193-2214429306-939620716-1005\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts

I won't be as silly as arflech, but buy as much RAM as you can afford. 32-bit Windows OSes can handle up to 3GB.

isn't it possible to skip the opening animations? would this save time, or is there some rule against it? and what is the fascination with playing two games at once?
Most of the opening animations in both games are not skippable. The Final Fantasy V logo can be skipped at a certain point, and the Final Fantasy VI credits walk scene can be (and I believe was) skipped. And the fascination came from a joke that started the X1/X2 video. But doing 2 long RPGs? Blows my mind.

After watching that, I think a hard mode or hard mode level 1 cap tas would be much more interesting.
I doubt level 1 would be interesting, since it just means more grinding. Maybe do Albus mode on Hard, but not with a level cap.
