Good luck having even remotely good quality recording from a real DS, haha.
Well, not sure what constitutes good quality in your book, but these examples show that more than enough for speedrunning is possible to achieve: [1], [2], [3]. And adelikat's advice is spot-on. It's either a real DS or a powerful computer (or a huge amount of wishful thinking).
You missed some other fine examples! 4, 5, and 6 (Note: 6 isn't properly transfigured from its sideways recording. But the quality of the video is still pretty good.)

Actually, we have a perfect emulator stuffed in the back. We just keep it to ourselves because we don't want people to start doing "speed runs" that aren't TASes. It saves other sites the headaches of people trying to submit emulated runs.

I can't wait to see a final product. While it doesn't have the crazy glitches of the other 2 DS games, watching the movement of Shanoa from beginning (backdashing, ho hum) to the end (really fast bunny on crack) is amusing in itself. However, half of the first part on Nicovideo doesn't want to play for me and the rest looks really bad in quality compared to the other 3 parts. Could you fix? I want to see the rest of that, even if it isn't optimized.

Voting Meh partially because you drove me up the wall with all of those axes, partially because it's not that entertaining, and partially because the credits (the best part) look like crap compared to the original.

I don't know what was more amusing, the fights, the reactions of the 7 opponents, or the legendary champion. I think I have to give it to who the champion was. That was...quite unexpected. Yes vote.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26FnZrmiSgU I saw one of these some time back involving various John Williams tunes, but this one is just as cool, featuring a melody of tunes from the Legend of Zelda. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lk5_OSsawz4 (This is the John Williams tribute one.)

I worded the question badly. Is there a 100% bonus for saving everyone, or are they just for power-up purposes? Does the level score increase, perhaps?
Yeah, it's not like X7 where you need to rescue 64 of them (or beat all 8 bosses) in order to use the whiny bastard...I mean X.

Not really. There's things I wish were different, but don't we all?
Do you have a tendecy to avoid problems?
Since speed running in and of itself is a "problem", I'm not really avoiding them, now...am I?
Do you look for ways of escaping from stressful situations?
Since trying to get the best speed run possible can be stressful too, much like the prior question, I'm not avoiding anything going into speed running.
How long is the average speedrun?
Since I do mostly RPGs, my runs are typically 1-3 hours long.
Why do you speed run?
Because it's a challenge and a new way to look at the games that I've played and loved.

The real issue here is: can you get into the Minus World?
No, since the minus world glitch worked because the warp pipes because you get to them before they are properly loaded, where in here everything in the level is loaded from the get-go. Also, even though you can hack the save file to change the levels, Anything outside of 1-1 though 8-4 just returns a white screen when the level is about to display.

The save file is kinda interesting to look at:
<smbc_save_data>331,328,72,86,27068,32,34,32,32,32,32,114,116,115,117,165,167,142,90,0</smbc_save_data>
This starts Link at Fire Power, in 4-1 with 4 lives, 27,000 Points and 18 coins. Here's the overall scheme of the save: #1 - World. 328 is World 1, 329 is World 2, 330 is World 3, 331 is World 4, 332 is World 5, 333 is World 6, 334 is World 7, 335 is World 8. If you put something invalid, the game white screens when attempting to load the level. #2 - Stage. 328 = Stage 1, 329 = Stage 2, 330 = Stage 3, 331 = Stage 4 #3 - Lives (Save file total - 68 = actual live total.) #4 - Coins (Save file total - 68 = actual coin total. 167 gives you 99 coins.) #5 - Score (Saved max seems to be 99999, which is in-game 99931. So the save file score - 68 is your actual score. However, you can go past 5 digits if you do it yourself.) #6 - Bill (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #7 - Link (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #8 - Mario (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #9 - Mega Man (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #10 - Samus (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #11 - Simon Belmont (32 = Small, 33 = Big, 34 = Fire) #12-20 - Control Scheme

The one thing I would try as a last resort would be a program called Stellar Phoenix. While you have to pay to recover, it will do scans for free. If that can't find it (which I've found it to be the most robust that doesn't require the dedicated tools), then you're probably out of luck for your cheap options.

Voting NO because there wasn't enough effort put into this. Improvements are obvious even watching at standard speed. I also don't agree with your weapon choices.

A couple of things: 1. The audio after a bit seems to not stop and restart, but plays another set of music on top of itself. This gets annoying really quick. 2. I think you mean "Top 100 will be LISTED here." not Listened.
