Too bad. There's some talented people here who just have piss poor mentalities that make them hard to work with. Unless somebody wants to start completely anew on their own, I worry that we'll never see an improvement to this.

But the problem is that they'll stay there forever. There could be 50 submissions over the next 6 months, they all get published, and then all we'd see is some fricken 6 month old movie that got canceled and nobody cares about anymore.

I know that published movies are removed, but can we remove rejected/canceled submissions from there too? There's no point in them staying, IMO. It'll look cleaner.

I wonder if the timing issue has to deal with the fact that this is a .fm2 file instead of the .fcm (like with older runs)?

Isn't the game called Sonic R? I'm probably thinking of another game.
That's a whole nother game. As for this run, I'm sorry, but I can't give it high marks, given that The Sonic Center has runs with faster times and video proof of it too (Azure Lake with Sonic beats your time in your TAS). And with 4/5 levels beating you, I'm sorry, but there isn't enough speed/entertainment trade off to make it acceptable to me, especially given how short this run is. A chrystler building race TAS might be interresting,
it gets a little repetitive though because the Chrysler Building looks the same everywhere. but occasionally you get into a random encounter which lasts 2 seconds.
That wrong, there is a boss at eatch floor before next stairs
To put it more clearly: Bosses on the following floors: 10th, 20th, 30th, 40th, 50th, 60th, 70th, 77th. And to my recollection, there are no random encounters on floors 71-76.

The thing about the timer that makes it inaccurate is that it's ALWAYS running. Title screen for certain, and I'm pretty sure pause screens too. As for EX Mode, I think it has to be like Chrono Trigger NG+ - just go in with perfect status and weapons, then just run your way up. And as you go through the main floors, make sure you have a club equipped with 1st Strike so you can run faster.

You shouldn't need healing because you shouldn't get hit. Getting hit costs you points needed to get powerful faster. I've fiddled a bit with this, but I'm not sure on how critical hits work. I got it to go on my first hit against Actress, but I can't get it to go again. I need it with that fight, because 4 critical 10 damage hits is better then 6 7 damage hits.

Also, Ikaruga with some interesting goal in mind (dot eater might work).
Eh, not really. I think going for high score and maintaining a very high combo on the highest difficulty would be much more exciting then dot eater.

I think the Hall family was upset with your choice of words in the first round. There was a lot of variety in the humor, and that definitely kept it interesting. The end of round 3 was hilarious. Does the game add wrong at the end or does it just not count past 200? 9/Abstained
Given that you only need 200 points to win the final round, it probably intentionally cuts off the count at 200, even if you exceed it.

I think a Lua script that pauses the emulator every time a question is shown would be better, at least I'm used to that with RPG movies. Also, it's better for non-native English speakers, because they can decide how much time they need for each text. I laughed a lot watching the movie too, even if I missed the meaning of some answers. 9/8.5 for me.
Agreed. If I could make one, I would. So I'll leave that to somebody else.

That was f***ing HILARIOUS. I was laughing so hard I was crying! Edit: Test encode. I don't know if it's classified as good enough for here, but I thought I'd try.

That and a couple of other spots, like while waiting for the platforms at the beginning. But that's just me.

NOW it's starting to actually look like a TAS. Though the constant L-R movement is a bit annoying.

I can't tell you how, unfortunately. But I'm sure it's a frame manipulated event. Try watching some of the TASes already completed - I'm sure that'll tell you.

This looks more like a catwalk than a speedrun. In fact, your Gutsman stage could be improved playing in real-time. I won't even start listing things that went wrong in your WIP.
Oh, like the 80,000 score bonus, getting the bonus point icons, not dealing with the miners properly, not shooting Gutsman fast enough, climbing the first ladder in Cutsman... And that's stuff I observed in real time.

Let me remind some people that this is a TAS. TASes are expected to take advantage of glitches, shortcuts, and game shortcomings. (I don't see you whining about Sonic 3 and Knuckles now, so I?) If you want to watch a glitchless run, go elsewhere.

I felt improvements were possible, but I wasn't sure what. Never expected 34 seconds worth though! I'll have to watch this later. :)

I don't know how interested people are in this, but I thought I'd create a True Area 53 run for Sonic Advance 2. I'm not sure how to further improve the last 3 missiles. I could get two to connect easily, but I really have to wait for that last one to come around. Any ideas are welcome.. Youtube Video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjSfndgvxyc In-game timer: 0:55.30 (This beats the TSC record by .22 seconds)
