I'm less bothered by the ears and more bothered by how damn skinny they are. LET'S CONTINUE TO GIVE LITTLE GIRLS UNREALISTIC IDEAS ON APPEARANCE.
Shit like this is awful. I believe it leads to higher amounts of anorexia and bulemia in women, which neither is healthy at all.
Whatever happened to beautiful women who WEREN'T a size 0 (or in the case of the EG, -15)?
I'm wondering the possibility if that because his wheel was in him, it reset his vulnerability, and since Strike Chain was still in his sprite that it allowed for multiple hits?
Good work. I did notice a few things I'm gonna question.
1. Why did you rescue anybody? While some were just "there", you did go out of your way to rescue some. Between that and the time it takes to play the melody on the world map, that costs time.
2. The Nahatomb fight had some noticeable errors in it. In the first phase, the location of where the monsters drop after spouting is dependent on yours. You could position yourself better so it drops in front of the cannon.
In the 3rd phase, position determines the location of the warped in enemy. So you probably ran around a lot more than you needed to. Also, if you can hit the one that's running around, you can use him to drop into the cannon, which gives time for the warped in enemy to appear while you're working on that.
There's a few other spots I remember seeing, but those were the two major ones that stuck out in my mind.
I don't think Nintendo would release an announcement that big on Nintendo Direct and their Facebook (even making fun of themselves in the process) and then back out. I still think the ESRB one was a mistake. But if they back out now? Imagine the backlash! It would be like every game petition multiplied by the hatred against EA.
They offered refunds for people that bought The War Z some time ago (the first time that game went up). But I guess the general refund policy is much like store policy with games - when you open the box, you can't return for a refund, only an exchange. Since Steam info is digital, you can't "open" it, so I guess that's probably why. Plus Steam does do a pretty good job of offering specs of a game and you can run your computer though a site like Can You Run It? to get a better idea, so I guess I'm not bothered by it.
They all have their strengths and weaknesses.
DOS - Strengths: Solid gameplay Weakness: Stupid touch screen usage. Predictable plot (if you played Aria). Very grindy.
POR - Strengths: Multitude of modes, each with their own style. Two character in each mode (except 1 bonus mode) make for some fast paced action. Weakness: The 2nd set of 4 portraits are simply rearrangements of the first 4.
OOE - Strengths: Challenging. Interesting plot twists. Boss fights that go beyond "whack until dead". Weaknesses: Some may find the challenge cheap. Some may hate the level structures. What's needed to advance the plot beyond the bad ending can be considered by some stupid.
My verdict? Get them all. If you can only get one? Depends on what else you have. Dawn is a great compliment to Aria, Portrait if you have Bloodlines. OOE doesn't really have a compliment, since while part of the timeline it doesn't directly connect to any other title like Dawn and Portrait do. Though if you do have Judgment for the Wii, those games have cross unlocks.
I'd be willing to watch this again in Japanese, subtitles or not! Nice work on the intro. I loved the touch of including what appears to be the VA names for the main characters, including the fact that they colored them to match the character they belong to.
The video quality of the episode wasn't bad. The VAs attempts to emulate the actual VAs was close. The pacing felt like a movie script writer writing for a TV show. Some of the gags went on WAAAAAY too long. While it was nice that they included some of the brony gags like Scootaloo and chicken reference or Derpy and muffins in some cases the shoutouts to the fandom just were too blatant to be cool nods. It became in-your-face trash.
If they would have cut down some of the gag length, it would have probably ran closer to an actual TV cartoon length (around 22 minutes) and probably would have been much better because of just that.
So in summary, the fan episode wasn't bad, just ok.
The grinding is two-fold.
1. To be at a high enough level for MP usage to pull off both techniques.
2. To be at the right EXP level in order to get a level up while killing that bat. If he doesn't kill the bat in the middle of the axe's special attack, the zip won't trigger.
A companion series, Equestria Girls, is set to premiere in the second quarter of 2013, where the main characters from the show will be re-envisioned as humanized characters attending school.
I actually like Human Dash's design better in the new image than the old one. DOUBLE RAINBOW ALL THE WAY.
That being said, I'm still quite nervous about where this spin-off series is going. I want it to (and hope it does) keep the same charm that the original series has - lovable, memorable characters, simple, yet fun plot, good music, and the like.
A friend of mine asked how I liked the episode, when I told them I hated it they were dumbfounded. I asked what the spell was supposed to do and they said it was a spell for friendship. I then asked why starswirl the bearded would work on a frienship spell, as he had never been mentioned as doing anything of the sort. She had no response. Even people who liked the episode have no idea what the fuck happened.
About the background characters and ponies acting inconsistent, how about Spike? He seemed to be immune to the spell like Twilight (bullshit excuse is he was inside the library). Also, since the realization of their talents came from the sonic rainboom, it must have changed history. But if it was changed, it makes no sense how they could "remember" their talents. Also, since when does magic have to be read and not use her horn (atleast I don't remember her horn glowing)?
If you watch the episode, you notice that the spell activate's Twilight's crown which messed with the other pieces of the elements of harmony. Why Starswirl the Bearded would make (or technically "attempt") to make a spell that worked with that, is hard to say. There is still 2 more parts coming according to the writers. Hopefully we will get an explanation as to what the hell this episode was about. I'm not bothered by the idea, other than it felt rushed.
My only guess as to what the spell was attempting to do/became after Twilight fixed it was to amp up the power of the elements of harmony to beat some greater evil that was probably sealed away 1000 years ago...like all the others. :P
Here's to hoping for some BIG bad evil for Season 4. Not like whats-his-face from the start of Season 3.
I'm fine with playing on an older version. We've done it a multitude of times. I know FF6 is done on 1.0 instead of 1.1. Use whatever version is fastest.
As for the run itself, it's amazing. Voting YES for Moons.
