It's not "according to rumors". The writer of the episode said it on her Twitter that she intended it to be a 3 part episode and the other two parts will come later. Link to Tweet
As for my thoughts on the episode, it was a bit rushed to reach the conclusion. The musical numbers were nicely done. Silly, but nicely done. This episode though is definitely a major point in the show. It's either going to make or break the series. It's one of those things you just can't go back to status quo on. So either Season 4 is going to be absolutely fantastic, or it's going to be completely awful. I hope for the former, because I've enjoyed the show, even if S3 was a bit mediocre at times. But then again, S2 was very hard to top, especially between the first two and last two episodes.
All admit, the hack creators did a good job with creating a different final boss fight compared to other ones. It's also interesting that they removed Peach from most of the ending. She should have been removed from THE END shot, but oh well. No hack is perfect.
Any bullet hell shooter that you can't just credit feed is a nightmare.
Obulis was at times a pain in the ass to 100% complete, but I did it. UGH that game and its stupid physics.
Awesome stuff. Loving what I'm seeing.
Screenshot suggestion: Vanilla Dome 3 at the goal w/ the invisible Yoshi.
Edit: Take that back. Cookie Mountain's bizarre ending. WTF DID YOU GUYS DO?! This is the screenshot!
As much as I like NBA Jam TE, NBA Hangtime on the N64 was better. It isn't all because of more processing power, but Jam TE wasn't as entertaining due to the lack of music.
Why are people making such a big deal about a run, seriously ? SwordlessLink is a well-known TASer, what would be the point in cheating ?
Concerning the run, it was... Surprising to say the least. Kinda boring though, so voting meh.
TSA was a well known speedrunner and look what happened there...
In case you're not in the know, several of his speedruns, including some of his famous OOT runs were video hacks and thus cheated.
The Wolf 1 fight was pretty damn hilarious.
And from what I understand with the Wolf 2 fight, you have to trigger the first cutscene where she snipes you, then you trigger the glitch and then can proceed to the post-battle cutscene?
For being a GBC game, the graphics and sound are pretty impressive.
Game looked well played. I found it interesting that some of the backgrounds late are taken from X4, including the Sigma battle room.
YES vote.
Looking at the comparison video, the old one was ahead at a couple of spots, like at around 2:35, got through the room where the new run got Yorick faster, and finished the Dimitri fight faster.
It just occurred to me: What if Nintendo actually made a New Super Mario Bros. 3 themselves?
I think it's not "if", it definitely will. It's just a matter of "when".
NSMB2 is already out, NSMB3 will not be too far away.
I just wonder if it will follow the same line as the old one:
SMB, SMB2, SMB3, SMW
NSMB, NSMB2, NSMB3 NSMW ?
Then they're kinda doing it out of order since we already have NSMBW(ii) and NSMBWiiU.
Btw, interesting to see if references about Dash being a member of the wonderbolt academy will be dropped in future episodes, of whether everything will be just reset and not mentioned ever again.
I'm sure this is one of those things that will be reset to status quo.
Ponyville is a village in the kingdom of Equestria. But is there any official stance of what else is in this fictional world outside of Equestria? In fact, does the world itself have a name? How large is it?
There was a large map released. I imagine that it's about the size of North America, since it goes from Manehatten to Los Pegasus. There are some arrows pointing off the map to other areas (where the dragons and gryffins live) so it's just the kingdom, but not the entire world.
