Voting YES as a concept demo because everybody has a whole different concept of -1, which is normally a looping water section. I understand the logic of how this works, since -1 is really World 36, -2 is World 35, and World -3 is World 34. World -4 (if it existed) would be World 33 and World 8-4 is World 32. If I remember my stuff correctly. Voting NO as a regular published run. This can't be considered as such.

I finally got a chance to watch and I say overall it was good. Admitably, there were a couple of the fatalities that I wish you would have skipped and gone with level specific fatalities. Particularally Barraka's by instead dumping them into the acid bath. And I think the spike room after that could have been done instead of what was actually done. But you made it exciting, though going with random characters (instead of a continual cycle) would have been cool too.

What were your "WTF" parts?
Probably the biggest one was in one level with the rising floor, where you did the team throw into what seems through the ceiling into the bonus level. The other one probably was the "spring" in one of the boxed water levels. I think it was the one that you change lava to water, but I can't remember exactly what level.

I don't know how RARE honestly expect people to be able to do 102% in this game. You did it with ease and at a couple spots I did go WTF?! Yes vote. Star it...how many people have actually SEEN the 102% ending?

I also have high confidence that Sypha's route is faster for Grant than Alucard's route. The reason? In Alucard's route, there's one level that is a loooong vertical buildup which is nothing for Alucard. Grant can't take any shortcuts here. Meanwhile, in the Sypha route, there's a TON of shortcuts he can do. Sypha's route wins.

Unlike most Megaman games, Megaman 3 has two cycles of boss weaknesses. At least it's better than Megaman 2, which is very disordered in terms of boss weaknesses.
I'm aware of this fact. I've played and beaten it before. I was thinking that something else might be faster, like Magnet Missiles.
Rush jet is slower than rushmarine is in water/out of water. I did test using ruchjet instead of rushmarine, and marine won.
Ok. I was curious if you just stayed up above the water and worked to avoid enemies if it would be faster. Oh well.

Overall, great! But two things of concern: 1) Shadow Blade on Needle Man? There isn't anything faster? 2) Wily Stage 2 - How about using Rush Jet instead of Rush Marine?

Great run, but two suggestions. 5-1: Switch to Stone for that long vertical section. Would that possible save you some time? 5-3: How about using Hi-Jump in the first section instead of floating up. Would that save you some time? It's interesting to see the differences between this and the remake (Nightmare in Dreamland on the GBA which I'm running at SDA). Will have to throw notations about the game differences...

Actually, the game does continue past Level 20. However, doing 20 levels is gonna get repetitive quick (Hey, if nobody can stand 8 levels of Spy vs Spy...). I'd say snap it up to Level 20 on High and blow the snot out of the game. THAT would be a fun TAS to watch.

If were going to talk about classics, why not Space Invaders? They don't get much more classic than that. I've never really played it well enough to see any sort of ending, but if there is one it'd be worth going for i think.
Shooters, as a rule, do not make very good TAS candidates. Usually they are fixed scrollers so no matter the technique of the player the game must take a certain length of time to complete. Space Invaders has the added disadvantage of NO scrolling, so there would be virtually nothing to watch at all. True, never missing a shot would be impressive at first, but how long would that really hold anyone's interest? Not to mention the fact that I don't think there is an ending, therefore there is no goal...
Unless, of course, one was playing the PS1 version, however rerecording isn't supported for that yet.

I think it roughly comes out to be 44:23, if I did my math more correctly than JXQ. (53min*60sec+17sec)*0.833 = 2663.101 sec

I hope the run wouldn't be 1:03:56 on NTSC timing. That would be a HORRIBLE run, given I've nearly matched that while hitting all the switches (gettin 100%). And that wasn't TASed.

Well, finish it man. As long as you're gonna kick my ass at something, you better get the job done. Because if you don't, the spirits of the underworld will come back to haunt you. ^^

This is a really fun puzzle game with annoying ~20 sec gaps in between levels. :( But it's time to rock through it. It's amazing how fast he can actually do things compared to "humanly possible". Ver 0.1 Ver 0.1 - Contains all of Garden Land through the boss. This isn't totally optimized, but fairly close right now. Make sure to turn input viewer on in the scene before the boss. CAN YOU FIND THE SECRET CODE?! lol I think there's a couple spots that have semi-obvious improvements, but if you find anything here that you think can be done different, speak up. I know I'm gonna have struggles doing the special levels after beating the Wizard King (or whatever his name is). I never could get past the first one as a kid...
